MrGidifeed: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, has in the last six months secured 83 convictions and recovered N116,945,981.68 (One Hundred and Sixteen Million, Nine Hundred and Forty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty-One Kobo).
The Zonal Head, Friday Ebelo, made the disclosure on Monday, June 24, 2019, during a press briefing held at the Commission’s office, Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan.
Ebelo who took over headship of the zone on January 31 added that the zone has made tremendous success within the period.
“With the unwavering support of our Chairman and other stakeholders, the zone has recorded remarkable successes in the period under review,” he said.
According to him, the zone received 481 petitions out of which 117 were rejected because they did not fall under the Commission’s mandate. Out of the remaining 364 that were approved for investigation, 107 had investigations on them concluded with cases filed in court.
“We were able to secure 83 convictions out of the 107 cases filed at different courts within the zone. That represents 83% of the total number of cases” he added.
While speaking further on the money recovered, Ebelo said: “Others in foreign currency include $39,125 (Thirty-Nine Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty-Five United States Dollars), €1,800 (One Thousand, Eight Hundred Euros) and £50 (Fifty Pounds).” . The EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Head also said the last six months witnessed the recovery of 65 vehicles among which 54 were registered.
While appreciating the Nigerian press for its partnership with the Commission, Ebelo sought cooperation with members of the public, saying the fight against corruption would only yield fruit if every Nigerian shows commitment.
“This is our country and we all have the responsibility to make it better for ourselves and the coming generations".
Well it all depends on our individual belief because I have seen people not in hundreds making it without traveling out of the country and not all people who travel out make it ,there are a lot of Nigerians here who have spent more 20 years here and they are yet to find there bearing .the country is not as bad as we paint it but we Nigerians need to change our mentality

Sanromeo: Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Friday received the first set of refurbished Government Vehicles which were were put in good shape by Logistical ideas Limited.
Governor Akeredolu decided to renew numerous broken down and unserviceable vehicles at significantly low costs compared to the acquisition of brand new vehicles.
Following biddings from severally organisations, the Akeredolu’s administration brought in Logistical ideas Limited who has now delivered the first set of the renew vehicles with two years warranty.
Presenting the Vehicles to the Governor at the Governor's Office, Alagbaka, Akure, the Chairman, Logistical ideas Limited, Mr.Oluwole Okunnuga said the innitiave of the Governor to repair numerous broken down and unserviceable vehicles has helped saved the state's resources and put a stop at wastage.
He said in the next two weeks, his firm will deliver another 30 vehicles and also move at the same pace to be able to cover the time frame with the stipulated number of vehicles.
Mr. Ogunnuga disclosed that the project has also created jobs for artisans in the state as most workers were hired within the state.
Governor Akeredolu who said it's a new dawn in Governance in the state, stressed that he decided to put an end to the practice of abandoning serviceable vehicles to buy new ones.
The Governor noted that his administration became creative as a way of finding solution around the hard economy reality of the state.
Akeredolu who said the vehicles were risen from the dead, attested to the fact that most of the workers at the repair workshop are from within the state.

I've a friend and he's very close to me. we know each other more than 10years and he has been the only friend close to me right now. I was living alone in a 3 bedroom flat and he always come to sleep at my place. I'm happy coz I won't be the only one sleeping in the house.
it started when he bring 1 of his girlfriends to my house, he uses on of the rooms and I didn't complain, but the issue is he kept bringing them in and I'm tired of it. the most annoying part is the way he's using the bed. stains or shit. it came to a time I've to wash the bed coz I'm tired of seeing stains on my bed, though I'm not really using the bed but it's still my property.
