Hello y'all,

I am considering getting the Huawei Nova 9. However, I'm being put off by the lack of Google service.

Does anyone currently use any Huawei device, and how have you managed to navigate the Google restrictions?

MY OPINION ON SPOUTFI AND SOME ONE MENTIONING TROVE
Since our accounts are going to SPOUTFI under special arrangement, we will be treated fairly, at least whatever we have in our account, we can be trading with it till we get a better idea on the need to move or not.

The Nigerian APPS are not the best at this moment, the platforms are not prepared for trading Global stocks: it is either there are not enough stocks or they hang nearly everyday.
To confirm my openion on Nigeria APPs you can transfer about NGN14, OOO to Trove and come and tell the forum your experience!!! .

On SPROUFI, have they rejected your account? Many big Stockbrokers accepting people from Togo, Niger Republic etc are rejecting Nigeria residence, (Fidelity, welbull etc). So if SPOUTFI is rejecting Nigeria residence no surprise it is the norm (I don't know why, but when you mention you are from Nigeria in an International Airport outside West Africa you know what comes to mind).

Cool down, if SPROUFI is accepting us on this special occasion (drive wealth is the Godfather for many medium size Stockbrokers and they may have told SPROUFI to accept all accounts from Passfolio, they have no option). Remember the Nigerians that opened account early at 212 are still using their account, therefore we should take it as a privilege that SPOUTFI is accepting us due probable to the influence of drivewealth. unfortunately drivewealth do no accept individuals as clients, they only deal with Stockbrokers (stockbroker to other Stockbrokers). If you need your peace of mind just calm down, stay with SPOUTFI as one of the few Nigerians that will have accoubt there. Trove may be okay, if you trade with $10 and you don't care with what may happen to your money if you have a trade on and the platforms hangs for 2 days. On a general note, if you can afford to trade with $200 and above, you are not a poor person and no global stockbroker will treat you shabily (except Nigeria APPs, as they believe the average person will open account WITH NGN7000 and then lose it or forget it). To be frank, Passfolio level of service was 100% better than the local APPs, the trading plaform never broke down for 2hrs continuously, for the Nigeria APPs. Plaform not working for 3 days at a stretch is a normal thing (which a good investor will never accept).

I will not comment on this matter again. Let us look to take our trading to the next level. Finally, for whoever is making a recommendation to you, go and check that person's profile and see what that person is involved in, is the person investing actively in Global stocks, than take your decision. We need to protect our money, "RETURN OF CAPITAL" MAY BE BETTER THAN EXPECTED RETURN ON CAPITAL
. Wishing everybody the best, I love every member of this forum, it is like a different set of mostly well cultured people compared with NSEMPA (I belong to the too sides.so no harm meant)
I agree with you.

Only loss I have to deal with is my crypto

If you have a valid driver's license, national ID (not NIN) or international passport, create a payoneer account, and generate a checking account from payoneer for free if the people you work with are in the us, UK or Canada. Give them the bank account number, and get paid to payoneer. You can link your payoneer to your nigerian naira account and withdraw at cbn rate, or if you have a DOM account, link to it and withdraw dollars to your account, then sell to BDCs at black market rate. Alternatively, there are people on nairaland who buy payoneer and will buy it at rates slightly lesser than black market rate.
OP take this advice.

Payoneer is a well known brand recognized by reputable companies such as Fiverr and Upwork.

Payoneer has really decent rates compared to direct wire transfer to your Dom account.

Wire transfer takes a charge of not less than 30usd per transaction.

Payoneer takes 2% of the fund.

So do the maths.

People talking about grey.co, I have never heard of it until today

Yeah, we are not earning enough dollars due to

1.Subsidy payments going up, due to higher oil prices, which means higher fuel prices...and more money being spent to keep it low...which eats into our budget

2.Falling oil production due to theft, robbery, and government doing nothing about security.

3.From 2014 till 7-8 months ago, oil prices were too low to sustain us. Now that they are high, we have to still pay off the debt we took on during the lean years...(and yes, we had to borrow, otherwise we would have ended up with salaries not being paid for 2 years .)...and even during those years, we were still paying up debts.

4.Lack of a diversified economy. We did not diversify our economy.

5.Poor tax uptake. Our tax to gdp raito is 8.1%....too low to get us enough revenue. 30% of the economically active populaiton pays income tax to the government at federal and state level. Tax leakages and corruption are a thing.

6.Corruption and stealing. Especially at contracts, subsidy level and so forth. And yes, APC hasn't changed a thing.

That's why we are in this mess.

If we removed subsidies on petrol and power, and raised our tax to gdp ratio, and really focused on fighting corruption....we might get somwhere.

Campaigning begins next week, let's see what the candidates have in the tank. I'm not optimisitic.
You hit the nail on the head

And for a gift like this, we will just bow and say thank you to the market: we will give the name tomorrow. But to avoid doubt that maybe we changed the names, will give the the third letter of the names today and the full name of only one tomorrow: _ _ X _, _ _ L _.

Market today not too bad,

Though I recommended under or around $25, that wouldn’t matter again as it closed yesterday at $20.65.

But I hope you have not sold yet, because this stock showed great signs of high volatility that tells me there is more to it in the coming days beginning from today. In fact, I had free funds, I would buy at current price.

Resist the temptation of leaving too early at a loss.
I can still see some profit before the week runs out.

But be quick to jump out when you see green.
It’s looking like a roller coaster ride is setting up.

Skrill is rubbish!
Bank transfer is too costly.

Use gpay option on trading212 website on your laptop. Charges is 0.70% once you exceed $2000 deposit.
To be able to use gpay, you need to use a vpn. I use a paid one. I use Nord vpn. I subscribed to 2yrs at the cost of over $100. I have been enjoying it. Use your local atm card to pay converting to dollar equivalent. You need to create ac with user id and password on the Nord vpn app that you will download.
grin grin
This worked.

Only disadvantage is the dollar limit placed on our dollar card.

For VPN, kapersky offers a free plan which allows you VPN access of 200MB daily

My sincere and heartfelt apologies to you all for my unforced, then “forced” absence due to my change of phone, loss of naira land password and emails log in details and so on!

A lot is happening that we can’t afford to miss.
The current war in Ukraine has brought about crazy jump in some oil stocks and crude oil commodity itself.
I bought INDO for $28.50 last Thursday, it has fetched me 117%. It closed at $63 yesterday.
HUSA $11.04 gave me a whopping 202% gain just yesterday alone and is looking to gain some more today before I will decide to sell. I bought it yesterday at $3.49.
Today NINE $3.59 will be making a great lip for anyone who cares to benefit.
Just jump in there, take your share, and jump out.
I have taken position in OceanPal at $1.58 yesterday. This one is on Trove. It closed at $1.26 yesterday. It should power up today for a few quid hopefully.
Good luck!
