It means a pre-paid courier envelope so they can send you your passport and documents back. Go to any delivery services e.g. DHL or UPS and ask them for a pre-paid envelope and put it with your docs.

There is no start date on the FEA and it is valid for 6 months, your company can give you a temp start date if they are willing to wait it doesn't really matter because they can revise this.

Sure you can but better to apply as you start applying as the times can be inconsistent

sorry, this was 2500 cedis so about 200,000 naira. You can get a friend in Ghana to employed you for work so you can get a residence permit through this means

Does anyone know what happens if you submit your application without FEA pre-approval letter? The company I work for said I wouldn't need it since I qualify for a blue card (german equivalent university degree and an employment contract with a German company that pays a salary of at least €53,600 per year) but I was asked for it at my appointment. It has been about a week now and I haven't heard back from the embassy.

The embassy might get in touch with the company directly to get it, maybe causing a slight delay. All my friends that applied for blue cards got an FEA.

Resumption date on Contract is Oct 1st but Interview date is late November. FEA approval received. Job requires security clearance that would take 8 weeks to process AFTER the work permit visa has been obtained from Lagos.

Should I ask for a note from my employer reflecting this information before attending the interview? How is the visa dated ? The company is not willing to accommodate me for 8 weeks so the plan is to remain in Nigeria till the clearance is obtained then proceed to Germany to begin work.

The visa is normally 6 months so you should be fine to stay in Nigeria during the security clearance. You will be expected to take this visa to Germany and then upgrade it to a residence permit.

Normally your company / employer in Germany will have to fill a form called stellenbeschreibung.

It describes the kind of work that you going to do in Germany with this company. it explains how many hours you're going to work, how your salary is going to be and all that.

Your company can send it to the Bundesagentur für Arbeit in der City and they will decide, if they approve the working permit. That's the way I know it. I don't know if one can apply for working permit without having a certain company to work with

Bring all the docs listed on the requirements. For blue card Visa, you might need to get a pre approval from the German employment agency even though it wasn't stated in the requirements, I believe

Questions were standard questions and basically info about your work contract and your work experience.

Most importantly, do not lie about anything.

He was April 7th. I think the last days are lumped onto the next month. I know another friend who applied March 30 got his at the same as the one who applied in April.

Wanted to be sure you got your date within the specified timeline. I just need to be sure they will send an appointment date within the timeline they sent in the confirmation mail.

I applied in May and still no communication, I try to send them a mail a week but I get no replies. I have a friend that applied at the end of April and still waiting to. Then it was 5 months on the waiting list . I think his will spill over to month 3 soon. Na time to just go fast for church.

I guess they are giving preference to uni students because that is their main source of income, but it irritates me to hear people apply on those pages without even having an admission letter or a surety that they get admission
