Fabcol: We never great yet oh lol You could deliver with dhl(Paulinus might request an appointment mail from you or your brother if you go yourself and might not attend to you if u dont present one). You could still try tho(personally I prefer dropping my parcel myself at the embassy)
From: your name, reference number To:The visa section Then the embassy full address Also include a copy of your visa receipt inside the envelope can an online printout of the SL be used for interview if the hard copy has not gotten to Nigeria before interview |

yemicoal: Good day guys, I sent additional documents to uniassist on request but forgot to include my application number on the envelope. Tried using the contact form page on the website but could only find answers to question and no email to send my issue too. I tried replying a mail that was sent to me earlier but I got an automatic response saying I couldn’t respond to that mail. Can I get a working uniassist mail so I send my application number to ensure they identify my documents. Thanks don't worry they have your name on their system already. when i sent my documents, i didn't include my application number and it never affected me |

pompido: Hi Benjamin, let me know once you get the AL for CAU-Kiel, I can introduce you to the guys in the same program there and to the student body there in general.
Do not reject or cancel any course you already have AL for until you have spoken to people taking those course in those schools. It will help you make a better decision because in truth, anything Economics in Germany is for real men.
God bless... thanks brother for the advise . i will let you know as soon as the Al drops. uni assist sent my application to CAU- kiel yesterday for further consideration. will be expecting to hear from them anytime soon. |

Hadampson: @Benjamin139
This is for you. It's an experience of pompido in kiel.
There are 2 tertiary institutions in Kiel namely Christian Albrechts University and Fachhocschule Kiel (University of Applied Sciences) and both have great quality of education. CAU is the more recognized and highly rated of the 2 (Top 30 in Germany) wink but it is research based, so if this is your forte then by all means. If you are more practically oriented, IT systems development/business management and co that would grill you in readiness for the professional working life, then FH it is. This of course is based on perspective and of course do a proper research about your course of choice and its course contents especially (There can be serious K-Leg if you do the naija style of following the better named courses as them fit shock you when you enter grin).
thanks bro, you are the man!!
Both schools are linked and so FH students have access to facilities at CAU like the Library, sports center, fitness center.etc. There is also the semester tickets that cover the whole of Kiel (train, ferries, buses). Only difference is that CAU students get a rebate on the direct bus to Hamburg airport (7euros instead of about 15euros and 12euros for the round trip). FH students have to pay the full charge but that is nothing to worry about because the airport is not a frequent trip and there are alternative ways of going on long trips for really cheap prices.
Housing is kind of reasonable here though it could easily become a nightmare (as moi experienced). The studentenwerk handle student accommodation for both schools and there are cheap to mid-priced rooms available (availability is higher in the summer as there are less applicants and intakes in both universities). Early application is usually the best thing to do but there are also other options that would suffice till one finds right footing.
Working as a student here is just like any city in Germany, available but conditional. Ability to speak the language even if it is the pidgin version (like Williamso would call his) would make things a bit easier. Another thing is that everyone needs to realize that you have to bear your cross and so do your own research, ask questions and talk to people about what you need. For example, when we got to Kiel, we were played all the work stuffs and what we needed to do to start engaging (mostly meant that we would wait a few months). The funny thing is that when men started digging, stuffs that even those we met here didn't know about were available and now they kind of say we came and raised the ginger level. Hustle is usually at its peak in the summer months (In Kiel, the Kieler Woche is it for men ooo, we die well )
Yes, you have to worry about your next renewal as Kiel only gives a year's permit but still egal as you will learn....... (open ended tins)
Abeg bring your food oo,as much as you can carry so you get to ease yourself into the bread/potatoes eating mentality here and of course save yourself some cents by eating in. There are afro-asian stores here so noodles, titus, kote, croaker fishes are available. same with palm oil, plantain, yams et al.
Me no get power for babes matter o but if that is a condition then I have one for you......start working on your 6packs and throw a few sentences of Deutsch into the mix and you are set (a few good dance steps may help too as men dey hangout for nice domes steady).
There is a strong Nigerian community here starting with the Nigerian Students' Association to the Nigerians in Kiel Association (them dey host very bad party every December), so you are sure to get all the help you need right from naija.
# For more information about the city, contact pompido, aibee01, topeajis and willy2000. thanks bro, you are the man!! |

clintonsparkz: sorry but what's actually special about university of Kiel? I thought Bayreuth is actually very good, plus great job opportunities as it is in core South, or is because of the course? I am asking cause I have both of them on my list Actually its because of the course. Quantitative economics is the best preparation for a Phd in Economics. |

Harrycul: Hi Everyone, good morning.
To gurus in the house, I need your advise the below issues.
1. I have gotten my masters admission from Kiel University (Quantitative Finance, to resume 1st of October 2019) but I'm currently trying to raise the blocked account money of 8867 Euro as quick as possible. Pending when I fully raise the money, do you advise I go ahead submitting my visa application now due to how long the process, then before my interview date would have paid the blocked account money? Are there any negative implications to doing this?
2. What blocked account company is best to use, Coracle or Fintiba, bearing in mind that Coracle gives free travel insurance, do not request for health insurance payment till you get to Germany and do not deduct any monthly charges.
3. What is the best travel insurance you advise I utilize?
4. Trust I can obtain a birth certification from Lagos High court.
5. What's the best time to send in your student visa application? and which is the surest application route on going it?
6. When is the best time to apply for accommodation? when did you apply bro because from their website the application process starts by first June? |
