Foreign Affairs / Re: Senegal’s President: Bassirou Fayeone Publicly Decleared Personal Assets by benjaminlawson(m): 10:02am On Apr 05
Very good of him, this happened because he was elected by his people and not selected by few people including the electoral body. The election in Liberia and Senegal were judged to be free and fair and a reflection of people' s will, that is why there is peace over there. Former head State Abdulsalam and Bishop Kuka peace committee in Nigeria should be focused in our next election on INEC following their rule and security agencies abide by rule of providing security only during our election. That is the only condition that will guarantee good governance in Nigeria. President Tinubu that is preaching unity without rule of law, justice, accountability and equity in the continent is not speaking the mind of generality of people of Africa.

Hope they will not go and bring scrap and unserviceable tractors and call them new tractors, because the where about of that of the first 10,000 ordered under buhari is no where to be found now. Apart from this, the cost price for each tractor must be made known to compare it with market price.
Politics / Re: Diesel Price Drops As Dangote Sells ₦‎1,225/Litre, Supplies Petrol May by benjaminlawson(m): 11:38am On Apr 03
No one should celebrate any monopolist they are enemies of consumers and nation in general. Let the government encourage many producers, if possible let the government assist them with loan as emefele did to dangote himself. This is the only time we can celebrate, not one monopolist.
Politics / Re: FG To Remove Electricity Subsidy, Current Tariff Rates Unrealistic - Onanuga by benjaminlawson(m): 10:04am On Apr 03
COMPAQ:

Metering is the main issue. All the comments about paying for darkness have no basis if that person is metered, cos you only pay for what you use.

Are you part of them? People are complaining of increase in price of energy from 65 to 200 naira, and you are talking of meter, would meter reduce the price.

I only pity the families of these wicked people called our leaders, by the time God begin to deal with them, all their family members will not be speared. Can you immerging, removal of subsidy on virtually everything in Nigeria; education, health, fuel, electricity etc, not because there is no money to pay it, but purely to have more money to steal, that is why verification of name only will cost our government nearly 500 million naira, sinking of a borehole for 190 million naira instead of less than 10 million naira, renovation of undilapidated building for 15 billion naira, the list is endless. They should not forget that those that ruled this country wickedly faced one judgment of God or the other.

Do you know what, some criminals killed the son of a senator in Kaduna and they ran to Niger Republic, DSS tracked them to that place and arrested them, despite the fact that they did not show their faces. But the criminal that shows his face for the whole world to see in Sokoto cannot be tracked, that is Nigeria for you.

The so called Nigeria rulers will run to foreign land, whether they are in government or out of government, to enjoy good quality life, but they all failed to reciprocate what they enjoy there in Nigeria. They only stole our money and move there with their families. The small development they claimed they make, they will mortgage the future of our unborn generations. That is why even the NASS budgeted 190 million naira for a single borehole which the highest price suppose not be more than 10 million Naira. But God will deal with them all.

Let every one with this kind of bad roads to continue to show it on all social media, so that the minister of works and all government agencies and state government will can see the deplorable nature of our roads, because our so called leaders don't feel what we are feeling, due to the fact that wherever they want to go they go by flight. It is only on social media we can express our feeling.

I don't expect this type of statement from someone who called himself a man of God, was that what Christ taught us. Why must you be talking about those who want to influence you negatively. Always do what is right in the sight of God.

My own concern is, why conducting the inspection by night, does he want it to escape public view? Why not in the afternoon when all the deficiency and lapses in the project can be vividly exrayed.

The federal government should start paying this security agencies good salaries and welfare - this will reduce corruption and bribery in the system...

What if someone outside get access to the security personnel posted to guard the accused is lured with huge promises that he had imagined he can't get one tenth of it even if he retired successfully from service...

Don't let us attribute what is not the cause of an event, is NNPC and CBN official not well paid, even is the governor of CBN not ranked among the highest remunerated officials in country, does that stop them from corruptly enriching themselves.
Politics / Re: Binance Executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla Escapes From Custody In Nigeria by benjaminlawson(m): 10:12am On Mar 25
Our government officials are just putting us in mockery state, where on earth will a criminal be put in a guest house? What is the purpose of our correctional centers, or DSS or EFCC detention facilities, all those people who colluded together and facilitated his escape should be sacked immediately and head of that unit be seriously warned.

They should remember Sodom and Gomorrha, that was the sin they committed that brought the anger of God upon them, because they go against God' plan for marriage, for He created them man and woman, husband and wife. God's mercy is still available if they can repent.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Has Become A Killing Field Under Tinubu – Atiku by benjaminlawson(m): 9:11am On Mar 23
I don't like these Nigeria politicians, they never fight the good of ordinary Nigerians. Atiku that is saying this now, where was he during buhari government? Less I forget he was in Dubai, if not, I cannot statistically say with confidence that the number of people that die during 8 years of buhari rule is less than that of Tinubu's 9 months old.

If top government officials and politicians can play according to our rule of engagement, both financially and other wise, Nigeria will bounce back. But in a situation they will take government money to BDEs and covert naira to Dollar with no records of who have done that, our economy will continue to cry.

Politics / Re: Kebbi Governor Idris Distributes ₦12bn Worth Of Ramadan Palliatives (Photos) by benjaminlawson(m): 10:18am On Mar 22
DIVINEEVIDENCE:
This crop of governors must be the most foolish set of politicians I've ever seen.

Why not invest ₦12 billion into revolutionizing the Agriculture sector ?

Purchase tractors and other farm machinery, distribute or subsidise fertilisers that target the nutrient deficiency of soils in different local governments, distribute super grains or stems or cuttings or fruits like Anambra governor did with coconuts, drill boreholes for central irrigation in mapped out places, build access roads to farms, install and maintain storage and processing facilities, subsidise pesticides, encourage people to farm and plant, combat banditry and willful destruction etc.
12 billion can go a long way.

But trust Naija politicians to always look for a way to abuse any program to help them loot.

'Palliatives' began during COVID-19 but years after the lockdown, they are still in love with the word.

I am disgusted by these handouts from governments that feed a man today and leaves him to die of hunger later.

This is wickedness, disguised as kindness.

All the statement you made above only apply to a same country, but in Nigeria where our rulers are supreme emperors, they only think of how to loot. Do not be surprise that the man may not buy food more than 500 million naira, whereas he is claiming 12 billion naira for it. Why cant he collect the account number of these people and post the money into their account directly, for people to buy what they actually need and the man be held responsible and accountable for the money, no they will just claimed one big figure so as to loot their state treasury. They we all face judgment of God here on earth and also in eternity.

Tinubu is trying to copy obi template but always ends up as a clown he is as always. A corrupt man will always smell of corruption no matter what. In the end this "news" is all for the masses to feed on. They will still continue

Please let us leave Tinubu is harken to advise of Obi or that, as government herself has said, the time of politics has gone, it is now time for good governance, kudos must be given to Mr. President for listen to good advise that can move our country forward, irrespective of where the advise came from, either from party in power or opposition parties or even ordinary Nigerians.

I always advocated that every government department must be periodically probed, may be every two years, to unraveled the rot there. This selective probe only when there is allegation does not augur well for our nation and economy. Also our financial institutions who always colluded with these corrupt officers to perpetrate this evil must be made to pay for it by CBN from their money, this I think will minimize the evil.
Education / Re: 2 Katsina Universities Dragged To Court For Banning Christian Fellowships by benjaminlawson(m): 4:53pm On Mar 19
Freedom of religion is just written in our constitution for written sake. The only law that is uniformly implemented if FAAC law, where our money is shared to federating units. After the sharing, then their is 36 countries.

FiftyFifty:
Good move by the two universities. The North is finally waking up from their slumber. Southern Christians should go back to where they come from and school there. Is that too difficult to understand?

Which means you must be ready to finance the university with money that is generated from the north also, not the money that comes from Christian south.
Business / Re: Aliko Dangote Donates 1 Million Bags Of Rice To Nigerians by benjaminlawson(m): 4:35pm On Mar 19
Nigerians don't need handout, let the economy be good, so that individual could afford their own meals. The money he suppose to pay as tax were waved for him, running to trillions of naira every year, but someone being paid 30,000 naira minimum wage is being force to pay tax. Also he has constituted himself to monopoly power, where he sells his goods at maximum profit, because there is no competition or collusion of few sellers, he also get huge billions of Dollar as loan from government. Now saying he is donating 1 million bags of rice, who counted it to determine that quantity, or what is the value of that rice as compared to abnormal and monopolistic profit he has been making from poor Nigerians.

Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Appointees Are Nigeria’s Problems – Allen Onyema by benjaminlawson(m): 12:25pm On Mar 17
I completely disagree with the statement, Tinubu appointees are never his problem, but his incompetency to check and monitor them, we have past president like Obasanjo who don't take any nonsense from any of his appointees. Mr. President should wake up and use all the constitutional means to control his corrupt appointees.

The problem is not the expensive quoted prices, the borehole in most cases will not even being a liter of water. I have one in our community that did not bring any water till date, and these people will claim they love their constituent that voted them.

The NNPCPL MD is a complete hypocrite, he was talking of illegal oil theft, what of the official one they are perpetrating? Or it is by mistake according to Falana (SAN), that more than half of our oil terminals were not metered. They are just taken our oil out without accounting for the quantity involved, he is now talking of oil theft, whereas, he is deeply involved by not allow meter, to determine the quantity of oil lifted at any particular time, the question is who allow the theft prosper? that why he rightly said that all of them were involved.

Can we see hypocrisy of this government, they told us the messes to endure hardship, while they continue to embarked on jamboree all over the world. Why not do it with resource persons virtually or at worst invite them to conduct it in Nigeria. The government claimed that they lack foreign exchange, at the same time approved wasteful use of the same scarce foreign exchange.

Nigeria law has turned to common man's law, our politicians and other elites are above Nigeria law. Now, that anti graft agency should immediately stop all prosecution in that state, since some one is not touchable. What a country full of useless politicians. Everything they touched they destroy.
