Inec is the cause of all these litigations and public unrest, if people see that the election is free and fair, they will willingly to accept defeat, but a situation that allows manipulation and rigging, this will definitely lead to unrest. Inec should be well policed in future elections for peace to reign in our nation. Nasarawa people should accept the verdict and move on to prepare for nest election and make sure they secure their votes against mandate thieves.
Politics / Re: Few People Looted Nigeria Through Subsidy In The Last 40 Years - Tinubu by benjaminlawson(m): 9:18am On Jan 16
Sule Lamido have said it all, that Nigeria elite have united in looting our nation. Mr president just confirmed it now. How can a sitting president declared in a public function that that few people have looted our country through subsidy scam, and because of these few people, more than two hundred million Nigerians must suffer by buying petrol at high prices which now leads to hyper inflation. Why cant me president investigate them and send them to prison as he has done to Emefele. Or is he telling us that these people are more citizen than others, that they can commit crime with impunity. That is why I regarded Emefele' s ordeal as persecution not prosecution, because the law that put him behind bar, should also be applied to subsidy scammers.

This is happening in Abuja, the capital.

How do these misleaders sleep at night?

You asked a right question, but if they cant sleep at night, they will not be buying cars for themselves worth millions of naira, buying yatch for vacation on the sea, allocating money for house renovation and building library they will not use and construction of car park, anyone who couldn't sleep at night cant be thinking on all these.

My questions are, is the Inspector General of Police, Chief of Army Staff, Director DSS, and other heads of security agencies do hear this type of news? What is the essence of all these security outfits? Do we have two government in Nigeria, that some people within the geographical boundaries of our nation will be acting against our peace and security and all these agencies that were established for this purpose fold the hands and allow it? What is the justification for huge budget allocation given to them? These the question that our government should try to answer.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Ranks 22nd In Cheapest Petrol Prices Globally - Global Petrol Prices by benjaminlawson(m): 8:52am On Jan 08
This clearly shows that our rulers in Nigeria are bunch of wicked souls. Why must we be on number 22, when we have abundant crude oil in this country, why cant we be at par with Saudi or Egypt. And also we are also poor to the extend that we are referred to as capital of the world poverty. But instead of this people allowing us enjoy this God's given resource, cheaply, they make us pay through our nose before we can get it. The money they are making were being used to corruptly enrich themselves, that is why you hear in Nigeria that a Government official embezzled trillions and billions of naira even with impunity.
Education / Re: WAEC: Computer-based Test Will Lead To Mass Failure In Northern Nigeria by benjaminlawson(m): 11:55am On Jan 06
The problem of North is the people like shettima who are advocating for Northern students as if he loves them, they only keep these innocent children in this condition of educated illiteracy to exploit them, why cant they say this to Jamb when they introduce it. Student are sent to school to learn, why cant they teach them and make sure they are up to require standard. When they introduce GSM, they are able to cope and use it, ATM of bank they are able to cope even the illiterate that has never been to school use them. Is it not the same allocation being given to other state were given to them too why is that other state are developing their own state educationally and northern states failed in this responsibility? But this man that is claiming he is fighting for northern students, let him show us his children, the level of their computer literacy can hardly be beaten by any student from any where, they deprive these youths their legitimate right and they will then fight hypocritically for them as if they love them, but their own children are enjoying all these benefits.

God will deliver Nigeria with these sets of criminals we called leaders in this country, if not because the country has been turned to criminal syndicate, who would the whole accountant general of federation pay public money into a private account, this is what all of them are doing, they will tell us no money with government, because they have shared all the money among themselves. EFCC, should do the needful by inviting her for questioning, and the president should sack her immediately. Also the criminal act of using consultant to execute government project should be abolished, what is the use of all ministry staff? That every project will be executed through consultant, and 10% of our scares resources are paid to the so called consultant or better still, if staff of ministries are so incompetent that they cant execute government policies, then, let the be sacked. So that we cant waste money on staff salaries and at the same time engage consultant to implement government policies.

So you expect a northerners to contest and win for 2027 election .. I am surprised PDP is still in bed with Atiku..The main reason Atiku lost the last election was becos it's the turn of the south but he decided to contest anyway .His action eventually made Obi leave for another party and the south was divided and with it some PDP strong hold.
It would be foolish of him to contest again.

Yes I agree with you, it is the turn of south, Atkins should forget it, even if Obi did not continue employment is welcome if he can do the needful and make live better, by arresting those that scared our subsidy regime, arrest them collect our money back, send kyari who bastardised it and return our subsidy to make life easy, we will support him to continue.

We want the train of this investigation to reach NNPC quickly, where we have large scale of subsidy scam. All these billions of naira being discovered will be a child play if the tentacle is spread to NNPC. EFCC should quickly fast track their investigation to them. Every official must be accounted for their actions and inactions. It is now they will not appear for investigation, when they want to be screened, they will put on their best attires and being accompanied by relatives and friends, but to account for their stewardship, they will be running from pillar to post, God will catch them all.

TopBanter:

Tinubu this, Tinubu that. I should have known never to get into it with an Obidullard only concerned with talking about Tinubu and claiming everything is the fault of Mr.President.

The simple answer to your question is that responsible employers, in times of national crisis or belt-tighening, pay a living wage if they can. I.e wages that cover the cost of living of their employees as a way of supporting government effort. This is done willingly in many nations worldwide bar Nigeria.

During the credit crunch of several years ago, EU nations even came together to bail out troubled nations like Greece with cash floats.

Nigeria is going through harsh time as she must because of existentialist reforms that must be put in place when Tinubu did and without delay.

No sane person can pretend it can be otherwise but you insufferable IPOB bingos do not wish well for Nigeria and just wish to use everything to bash Tinubu.

We are not the first nation in crisis that is not that the fault of the government of the day or economic hard times that has been ocassioned by urgent reform that may cause adversity in the short term but must not be put off even a second longer.

The UK and many nations in Europe went through similar due to the economic fallout of the Russia-Ukraine war. They have recovered somewhat today

It is only in Nigeria, because we are not united as a people, many blame and insist one man must do it all, because of their own ulterior moves, whereas a combination of effort from responsible stakeholders, like private sector employers, can help out immensely.

People like you is the reason why we are not move forward and we are suffering. What brought about IPOB in the matter of hardship, even if they complaint are they not affected, or Yoruba are enjoying buying fuel at 190 naira as before this person announced subsidy gone without plans. You claimed the problem should not be blamed on one man, but he is the one that makes the two policies that brought these hardship upon us. You also mentioned that even Europe is having some economic challenge, is it the way the person you are defending as a leader suppose to live, he told people to endure hardship, but live in affluent, by buying expensive cars, hatch, outrageous renovation of houses and Dubai shopping in the name climate conference. Their own leaders suffers with masses not the poor sacrifice and political leaders increasing their allocation unjustifiable.

Sowore has effectively turned himself into a joke who is out of touch with the Nigerian reality. I doubt many civil servants or government workers are paid as low as 30k monthly.

Yet millions of drivers, POS attendant, gatemen, supermarkets staff, cleaners, shop assistants etal are paid 25 to 30k monthly by their private employers.

How is the wickedness of private employers the fault of political leaders? Nigeria is very sick and need solutions beyond the 'attack all leaders' simplistic rhetoric of Sowore and his ilk.

For your information, you are arguing blindly, many government workers earned less than 20,000 naira, go to States and local governments, you will see it for yourself, or ask NLC in states, you will be surprised. Many State government are wicked, even the palliative the federal government direct them to pay, 90% of them did not pay that 35,000 naira, even when their allocation is nearly double because of subsidy removal, yet they refused to pay.

God will judge these set of wicked people we called leaders in this country. Masses will definitely rescue themselves from their corrupt activities one day by His grace.

Good development.

But what about non- state government workers like traders and etc.

What help will the state governors render to them? It is as tho all state governors always forget there are other people in a state and the civil servants usually only enjoy these things.

The usual argument will be that the civil servant will patronize them with the increase but that sound somehow.

The traders you talked about, are they not the one that will collect what ever is given to civil servant. Since fuel subsidy removal regime, these people have increased their prices, what they buy they sell prevailing prices. Palliative to civil servant will bring more income to them, because the money will be used to buy goods from them, more over there is palliative also for SMEs. Sonia a win- win for them.

Tinubu must recoup his investment first. He paid so much to become president and now you people want him to work for you?

If truly a majority of Nigerians don't want this government, here is an opportunity to still unseat them democratically. Otherwise, Nigerians should stop complaining and support the government to succeed amap.

For me, the harsh truth is that Tinubu bought the seat at a very high cost. So, it would be naive of us to expect him to deliver much until he has got back his investment AND MADE PROFIT. That's a business man for you.

Don't you know that vote buying is an illegal act, much less of recovering money spent on vote buying. Any one that comes to power through vote buying is an illegal government. And the mam swear to uphold our constitution, was it buy recouping the money spent on vote buying part of upholding our constitution. So the government that has all state power is complaining of saboteurs, they are the real saboteurs due to their corrupt activities. The government that cannot deal with these less than 0.01% people, but they can deal with more than two hundred million people by removing fuel subsidy on the excuse that there is scam in it, instead of dealing decisively with this few people, masses must suffer skyrocket inflation, to the extend that government has to come to the aid of some people before they can travel Christmas. Mr. Ex governor I disagree with some of your statements, one that it is buhari that removed subsidy, this is not true, intact buhari made provision for it till June ending, but tinubu ended it at may ending. Even if buhari did not make such provision for the rest of the year as subsidy, what stops him from making supplements appreciation, afterwards buhari did not make provision for the purchase of yatch, renovation of house in Lagos or Abuse and many other, but additional budget was made for them. Also by reappointing the man at the center of subsidy scam, as NNPCL MD, is an act of disservice to this nation. As Emefele is answering for his sins so should NNPCL should.

God will answer our prayers include that of Ameachi, am not a politician but we must all pray for the prosperity of Nigeria, because we don't have any other place to be called our own except Nigeria. I want to take you up on your last statement that PDP did nothing for 16 years not 17 years as you have even claimed. Ignorant people like you or people that has short memory of past events, need to be educated a little, even if PDP did nothing in your own eyes, I will refresh your memory with the following facts; they paid up all our debt, and free us from the burden of debts. The party you are defending brought us back to burden of debts so bad that the whole of Nigeria income is not enough to service debts, we still have to borrow to service debts. The GSM I and you are now using to express our view, their government brought it. All the projects the party in power claimed they have done were actually started by government you condemned without borrowing, corruption was not as bad as this that NNPC failed pay anything to federation account claiming that all money from our major source of income was used to pay fuel subsidy as if the previous government did not pay fuel subsidy. It is the same government that claimed they feeding our children in school with nearly a billion naira every day even when those children were with their parents at home, their policies were so bad that we have money in banks but cannot assess it the to what they called naira redesign, can you immerging that on the even of an administration a minister went and hire an aeroplane and said it marks the take off of Nigeria air. The number is countless, so let us raise our voices in prayers and hope that God will divinely intervene in the affairs of Nigeria, because our politicians are bad and wicked.

Thank you for the above assertion, am in total support of it, those who defending this disastrous called government, by the time the token they were bribed is finished their eyes will be opened. Those who are blaming Ameachi, that he did nothing, was Nigeria so bad to the extend that cost of goods has tripped, cost of patrol was increased from 185 to 710 naira per liters in some state, diesel above one thousand from 700, the product that already been deregulated before the came to power, while salary still remain the same, and this was due to wrong decision of Mr. President on our economy; removal of patrol subsidy and floating of Naira. The money they claimed will be saved, we have not see the impact, we only see poverty being multiply on a daily basis. So I say big Amen to Ameachi's prayer.
