Guys considering the manner or speed with which NDDC started this year scholarship process, starting from the last day of registration (28-02-2014) to the aptitude test(04-04-2014) and few days later they called for Oral interview(17-04-2014), the time span was less than 9 weeks if I am not mistaken. It is now over 16 weeks now we last heard from them.I thought by now, we would have known our individual positions. LORD HELP US in Jesus name. #TeamOptimistic

After the aptitude test, they invited people for oral interview.

@Global, the man that did my clearance during the oral interview told me then that it is 19500 pounds, and he also said if you are going to Coventry, Coventry usually give 1k pounds to all scholars for those going there, so your fews is minus 1k pounds.

You have a point....I guess there are other issues, it cant just be becos Mr. President hasn't sign the budget...at least release the list, so scholar's can start processing their travel documents.

I am a past recipient of this scholarship and I can tell u that NDDC does not have any affiliation with the UK embassy as getting the visa is entirely up to you.
As regards the TB test, I suggest you book a test at one of the test centers and do it whole waiting .
If the balance of your scholarship stipend is less than the required amount needed for upkeep than I also suggest you have an alternative plan.
I believe the list will be out this week though even people working in the education department have no idea when the list will be released. As of late last week the list was already with the MD for approval so Fi gers crossed

cabaye: coventry is another university of nigeria in the uk according to a phd candidate i met during the test. i was also told to expect seeing plenty of nigerian student both sponsored and self funded. nddc na their big customers.dont be suprised if every one offering your course are all round nigerians.lol

This na serious matter ooo. Abi NDDC think say we no go apply for visa....or they think we will be heading straight to the airport after collecting award letters.

I strongly believe that NDDC have everything under control as regards TB or medical test as well as the Visa processing and every other thing that is required before we travel... They will definitely have MoU with the various schools they are afflicted to as well as the UK embassy.. They may do somethings underground 4 us considering the time factor, even before the list will be released, after all they know those going already. This week is gone, the president is back.. Next week looks very fruitful. #teamoptimistic

EMMABC1: LATEST: ladies and gentlemen my brother an nddc contractor went back to d office of d chairman this afternoon. It's still d same old story- GEJ has not signed d budget. As I write to u now, every dept of nddc is stagnant and suffering, including their formerly busy website. But d goodnews on my side is that he was privileged to look into list and behold my name is in d final list. Like I suggested before, we can help ourselves and nddc to by pressurising GEJ and even Okonjo thru whatever means( facebook, newspaper, radio, 'long leg', peaceful protest, etc) to sign d budget. God bless us all.
