Genea:my dear, why e pain you like this na? or Are you one of them ![]() |
ElizaVeta:Dont worry dear, I am coming to slay that ass. Give me a sec. |
Mznaett:you are absolutely correct. It's funny, even looking at it from a nairaland point of view, How many people are following this particular thread? Haven't you noticed how abandoned the educational section of this forum is. If it was Tonto Dike, Snake, BBNaija or one celebrity walking pantless this thread would have been flooded by now. It's a pity. |
GMBuhari:I thought I was the only one who saw that........With all due respect to egbon Seun, I was gutted by the comment. |
Please fellow Nairalanders, What can be done. The future is no more safe. Let me tell you a story, immediately after my degree examination I got an offer to help my department on contract basis. I was paid to do so. I was opportuned to invigorate examinations, an unforgettable event played itself out during one of the examinations. I caught a girl with piece if paper, I collected it from her, few minutes later I saw her with another paper and as expected I did justice to it, In the spirit of invigilation I moved to the front see then later to the back only to find this same girl with a phone. I tried to collect the phone but she refused and was raising her voice the lecturer in charge was surprised and and but scared because the girls action was abnormal. Okay, fast forward to last month I ran into her, Without any remorse she told me and I quote 'Hope you are now the minister of education, its normal others are doing it. If I don't do it I will have to pay five thousand to sort the course because it means I will fail it. I thought I have heard it all then she continued 'This is January and most of our clients made a lot of expenses during the Christmas preparations especially the married ones'. I was filled with awe and disbelief. That day I came to the conclusion that Nigeria is in big trouble and I just pray we come to that realization before its too late. |
Seun:Does it mean followership is more important than what is right and that benefits the society. |
I have so much to say but i rather make it simple and short. So much have been said both inter-personally and on various social media platforms about the trending Big brother Naija and the crazy frenzy state it has placed most Nigerians, Africans and the world in general in. To think that the winner of the BBNaija is expected to go home with 25 million Naira and a car and to win, all that it requires is to live with a set of fellow crazy people do all sort of immoral things and win. Meanwhile, winners of the best mathematics competition in Nigeria which is aimed at producing the best minds in the nearest future walks home with the below prizes; 1st Prize: =N=1,000,000 2nd Prize: =N=750,000 3rd Prize: =N=500,000 (Source: just Google it) While the teachers that helped in grooming those students get peanut in return; 1st Prize: =N=400,000 2nd Prize: =N=300,000 3rd Prize: =N=200,000 (Source: Just Google it) And you expect them to be motivated? My question is why can't this other big establishments help cowbell as co-sponsors to attain a common goal of grooming future Nigerian kids with bright minds. For once, the world is taking the Nigerian entertainment industry serious. Attached to this article are two videos, one of 13 year old Oluwatunmise Idowu setting a record in cowbell maths competition and the other Bassey sucking cocoice Boobs. can you guess how many youtube views Tunmise got for her record 449 views, while the other got 75,882 youtube views. Funny, Who says immorality doesn't sell faster than originality and ingenuity. Everyday we talk about how the youths are the future and leaders of tomorrow and yet we forget that our tomorrow starts now. I am not here to criticize people who watch BBNAIJA or the inmates who earn millions just for kissing, drinking, caressing the breast of a fellow participant or having sex on live TV. I am just campaigning for a change of attitude towards our educational system. Just watch the two videos i uploaded along side this article and ask yourself the question below and you will see why I am bothered: What lesson is to be learnt by Nigerian Youths on BBNAIJA and Other beauty Pageantries for it to have gotten more sponsors than the morally important programs? What foundation are we laying down for the coming generations, what message of hope and legacy are we leaving behind. Nigeria is broke yet the sponsors are dolling out millions on highly immoral programs. Who is fooling who? I am sapiosexual, I am against ill norms. Cc: lalasticlala fynestboi seun Dyt |

I am going to make this really brief and very clear to understand in lay man's language. I have a girlfriend we have been dating for a year now, I love her so much and I know she does love me too. She is sweet, caring and tender but she has one major issue, She hardly accepts fault and I have never heard her use the word " I am sorry" even when she knows she is wrong. She did it today again and i really dont know what to do. We are currently far from each other because I am a copper and currently serving and I am seriously planning for a great future with her but that attitude turns me off. My fellow Nairalanders Lalasticlala, Myde, magazingeguy, Nma27, idydarling, Kellyimma, Ladyf debbie, Fynestboi, Berlynn, Meklex, Seun, sparklefresh, Missmossy, Flakesyblaze, geegirl101, jane0000, ebubey, kessluvall, sinaj, Hannysmilez, switstelly, lalyiva, emmyspark007, ik4life, Dyt What do I do? |
Very funny indeed chriskosherbal: |
I was also posted to Yobe......Are you in Lagos? |
I was also posted to Yobe......I am confused as to what to do. I am confused because me and my girlfriend agreed we won't try to influence our posting (God Knows best). She was given Kano in the stream one, she accepted it and she is currently enjoying it there, I doubt if there is or will be anything to enjoy in Yobe. |
Anytime ![]() horllamy: |
I am writing this as a means of showing appreciation to Horllamy.....last week I created a post here about repairing my Laptop broken screen. Few hours after creating the post I was quoted by Horllamy for me to whatsapp him, which I later did. Let me cut the long story short, I visited computer village last week Thursday with my laptop for the repair and I have to say, he did a great job and he charged me moderately as a friend though we are just meeting for the first time that Thursday. With my experience with him I can tell you whole heartedly that the young man is trustworthy and very professional. I promised to sing his praises here as a means to show appreciation. Thanks Lukmon, I appreciate. |

I really liked your post, it's really educational and too good to ignore. I am a blogger, I created my first blog in the year 2010 under the blogger blog platform (Note: it's running Adsense till date) Thus, I didn't follow it up with all seriousness, I know with a fact that blogging is very profitable and lucrative. But that's by the way. I am a university graduate waiting to be called up for service in January next year by God's grace. I have a business idea I have been nursing since my second year in the University. It has a lot to do with provision of services that has to do with academic works and books in particular. I have this business idea properly documented and scripted to encourage time to time improvement and to discourage forgetfulness. At the end, I know it will be worth all the wait and strategic planning. The major problem is finance as it requires a website that fits the requirement of what I have in stock for years. I think I will be needing a partner that would be as passionate about this dream as I am. My only fear is, I have watched a lot of Nollyword and Hollywood movies where partners end up killing themselves because of a business both of them built. This honestly sends shivers down my spine. NOTE: The driving force here isn't profit alone, if it was I could have dived head first in the beginning but it's much more than that. My question are: How much will a standard website cost me? Do you agree with my brother who also thinks all business requires partnership to succeed? How lucrative is the educational niche? (Just curious) |
Please, i need an expert to help create or redesign a blog for me. Just tell me how much it will cost. Thanks. |
I realized that the most successful people in the world are those the society at one point regarded as foolish, stupid or what have you. This people go against the norms and dictates of the society to get to where they are presently. People like Walt Disney, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Henry Ford, Kirk Kerkorian, Amancio Ortega, David H. Murdock just to mention but a few, defied the norm to get to where they are presently. Some of us wish to be them, some out of stupidity have made themselves dropout using the above mentioned billionaires as excuse. What a shame. Those men have something extraordinary, they had a dream, guts, zeal and passion. They had a dream, they damned all consequences just to follow their dreams. Some saw opportunities and without delay took it with both hands. Bryan Tracy would say "Leap and the net would appear". My question is what is stopping you from grabbing that opportunity? Is the fear of failure? But how can you fail when you've not really started. You only live once, opportunities will come but what counts is our ability to take them without hesitation I will leave you with a stanza in a poem by Longfellow: Those heights by great men, won and kept, Were not achieved by sudden flight; But they, while their companions slept, Were tolling upwards in the night. In conclusion, I want you to know that all great ventures entail great risks, the willingness to go boldly where no one has ever gone before. the key to success is for you to set one great, challenging goal and then to pay any price, overcome any obstacle and persist through any difficulty until you finally achieve it. Good Morning fellow Nairalander........ Helping Hands International Rocks....... |
