As at last week, Nairaland is the 14th most popular site in Nigeria (source: MOZ site explorer).

No doubt for your site to become popular and get organic traffic, you need to build backlinks from high authority domains.

Nairaland fits in perfectly for this. But does anyone out there get FREE (organic) traffic from nairaland?

Sometimes you should know some templates are sick, what you can do in seconds, some templates will warrant u even doing special coding.

Do you know you can make money from those domains without selling them?

If you still have time before the domain expires, I will advice you monitize it, have you heard of domain parking??

When you visit some sites and just see links to other related sites like adverts, those are parked domains, and the owner of the domain gets paid when people visit and/or click stuff on your domain.

If you have used the domain for anything serious and it has high Domain Authority, then you can also list it for sales, people are making thousands of $$$$ selling domains. In this case you will require an appraisal certificate for each domain then list it for sale.

The above example is bad as the bots crawling your sit have more work to do in trying to understand the relationship between your slug and your content. It is easier if you use

http://bennymark.com/how-comment-nairaland

It is also important to perform a keyword research before writting any post for your blog.

Also, your articles should target long tail keywords with low competition, this will give you better chances off ranking higher in Google search result page.
