chifreke: Clean DBS implies, a Disclosure and Barring Service report with no bad record. It's for people in the UK. If you are, then you can apply to DBS for a report or your employer will do so on your behalf and with your permission. It helps recruiters make right decision on whom they employ, especially when they work with vulnerable persons. If you are in Nigeria, police report serves close to the same purpose. I believe it is the closest to DBS report, for someone in Nigeria. It's up to the employer to decide if that's good enough for what they need it for. 2 Likes |

umarwy: Thanks. Corrected £100 per month grocery shopping is to some extent feasible but that's going to take some really good skills depending on occupation. I think £200 per month will be safe. |

When the Loan offer is accepted by the beneficiary, Global Standing Instruction (GSI) mandate will most likely be activated to ensure full repayment of loan. Global Standing Instruction (GSI) enables the bank to take both principal and interest from any place the loan obligor (loan beneficiary now debtor) has money if such a debtor does not pay back as agreed. With BVN, there is no way you can hide in any financial institution in Nigeria except you bury your money in the ground. Also, defaulting financial agreement means you get a bad credit rating with the Credit Bureau Association of Nigeria. This triggers a red flag when you ask for any credit facility (e.g. borrowing money or doing credit purchases like "buy now pay later" ) I doubt NPF MB will have problems finding those to enforce this digitally and physically Zzyy: |

If you have questions regarding following the instructions you received, reach out to the Bank via the contacts in the message you received or go to the nearest Bank branch to you and find out yourself. adetola77: |

1) How long will the payment of the said amount would take before the beneficiary have acess to the money? The beneficiary is informed about the loan amount approved based on NYIF initial application, beneficiary accepts the offer, money is disbursed to beneficiary's bank account by the partner bank (in this case the Federal Ministry of Youths & Sports NYIF partner bank - NPF Microfinance Bank) for immediate access. 2). Is the money grant or loan? Money is a loan - For a maximum of 5 years (60 months), Moratorium (temporary period when repayment is not active) up to 1 year (12 months), and interest not more than 5% (repayment in installments). In addition, beneficiaries shall ensure sensible use of funds, keep good records of their activities and repay their loans as and when due. NobeBeans: |

hotplate: The loan is to be repaid in full - that is, principal and interest of about 5% per annum. The loan period is up to 5 years and you start paying back after a Moratorium of at least 1 year. When the loan is granted, all assets purchased under the scheme must be registered with the National Collateral Registry (NCR). Also, the Global Standing Instruction (GSI) mandate will be activated to ensure full repayment of loan. Global Standing Instruction (GSI) enables the bank to take both principal and interest from any place the loan obligor has money if such a debtor does not pay back as agreed. With BVN, there is no way you can hide in any financial intitution in Nigeria except you bury your cash in the ground. Also, defaulting financial agreement means you get a bad credit rating. This triggers a red flag when you ask for any credit facility (e.g. borrowing money or hire purchases). So think twice and get your financial calculations right. 1 Like |

Mosopzy23: There should be passport office in each of the 36 states but I only know of Abuja, Lagos, and Delta offices. You can contact their support service via their phone line available on Nigeria Immigration Service website. |

Mosopzy23: Check the posts from the beginning, there's enough information on how to go about it. You can do the online application process yourself and pay the official fee. Choosing Ikoyi or Abuja passport office for capturing (aka interview), you can get your passport within a few working days. 1 Like 1 Share |

boujeeassnigga: It cost 500 and paid via Remita. Check NIMC website for more info. Try to check if there is middle name in your BVN. My guess is that some missing fields (e.g middle name) in NIN record originates from BVN record. |

boujeeassnigga: For the enhanced passport, if the name on your application is exactly the same you won't have a problem but if it is not the same with your NIN record you have to correct the discrepancy. 1 Like |

vhuqnl: On the mobile phone line you have the number attached to your BVN, verify DND is not enabled by sending STATUS to 2442 (if DND is enabled, deactivate by sending ALLOW to 2442) then dial *346# to get your NIN via USSD - service cost ₦20. Copy or take a screenshot of the NIN if you see one. With your NIN you can print a slip from a NIMC office. To reactivate DND send STOP to 2442. 2 Likes 1 Share |

AustinT575: Passport is passport. Nigeria Immigration Service knows not everyone has NIN that's why they are still issuing the former (standard) e-passport without NIN. |
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by bennymine: 4:53pm On Jul 28, 2020 |
AustinT575: The normal e-passport is still a very valid passport. The one with NIN might be handy as an identification document in Nigeria when the need to show NIN becomes highly mandatory, considering how slow it has been to produce National ID cards. But there is definitely much more reason, technology-wise, the other is termed enhanced. |

Goddys: All passports currently being issued by NIS are e-passports differentiated by improvement as standard and enhanced. The improvements are NIN inclusion, 10yrs validity, and other enhancement. 1 Like |

Goddys: You get a NIN verification failure if there is a discrepancy in your application when matched with your NIN record (i.e. names and date of birth does not match including arrangement order or any omitted name) |

Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by bennymine: 1:41am On Jul 28, 2020 |
Hubbysluv: It's is free, but for now, the only location to get this done in Lagos state, Abuja, or possibly in the country, from my inquiry, is some passport offices. My advice to everyone processing NIN, make sure your BVN details match with what will be on your passport because the federal government law makes this a must. This how it works: Nigeria Immigration validates your application with NIN; NIN validates your application with BVN and so any discrepancy will cause passport application validation (verification) to fail. Soon all applications in Nigeria will validate with NIN and so NIMC is making sure that there is no discrepancy between BVN details and NIMC records of Nigerian residents. 4 Likes |

ashieduplus: Asaba is fast but you might not have the option of getting the enhanced passport there. I don't think the type of passport matters except you want new technology and 10yrs validity. |
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by bennymine: 1:24am On Jul 28, 2020 |
AustinT575: If you choose the enhanced passports (costing ₦25,000 for 5yrs 32pages, ₦35,000 for 5yrs 64pages or ₦70,000 for 10yrs 64pages. There is about ₦2800 additional fee for each) you need a NIN, which you will see on the passport data page when you get one. You don't need a NIN if you choose the standard e-passport. You get the choice of standard or enhanced before making payment and this depends on your choice of application processing (capturing) centre (e.g Ikoyi versus Alausa for Lagos). 1 Like |
