Main reason why he was impeached by the same PDP assembly.

Was orji uzor kalu political career done. After spending time in prison for corruption.

Was T.a orji done.

Obi is no difference from any corrupt Nigeria. Politician.

Na ibo people dey try white wash am.
Yet again you goofed!
If he was impeached for three years, how come he was still able to fight his way to still become governor through the supreme court and no EFCC was able to charge him to court over the same 250m?
Secondly, this same man has been in opposition for 10 solid years and yet no EFCC boss whether present or former has deemed it relevant to draw out that same matter....it's either they have nothing on him or you and sowore as usual are spewing beer parlour gist
Oga there is a reason why there is a brain above your eyes and hands!

Sapasenator:
My biggest annoyance with Obi was him joining LP. Obi worked majorly for Tinubu's emergence by crippling PDP. The best chance Atiku had to be president was 2023 and Obi took that away. Why is he complaining against a man he helped install. Or Obi is not intelligent enough to realize he worked to Tinubu in the last election?
Same old stories from PDP wailers!
Obi did this obi did that!
Same Obi U guys were mocking on national tv and labelling him a paper weight politician who won't even win in his ward let alone his own LGA!
Your party refused to learn from their past mistakes by zoning the presidency to a northerner even when it was obvious that Buhari would be done as northerner!
If Obi hadn't gone to LP to test his political might,he would have still remained in PDP waiting until he will become an elder states man in a party that doesn't stick to their constitution!

It all lies.

As a governor he could easily have talked to the state commissioner.

And also settle with the house of assembly.

He decamped to PDP inoder that his tenure will not be probed.
U r speculating!
The state commissioner receives orders from the centre which is controlled by a PDP president!
The House of assembly is looking for a way to throw him out because of his shrewd lifestyle!
Even if he when to PDP and now in LP,how come successive EFCC bosses haven't questioned or prosecuted Obi?

He would have been probed after leaving office for his criminal activities.

Reason why he decamp to joined the ruling PDP in order to avoid further investigation into his tenure as governor.
Guy this statement of yours is illogical!
If there was any opportunity to nail peter Obi's political career,it would have been done by the same PDP dominated house of assembly that had once impeached him!
If the 250 m belonged to Obi,the house of assembly would have taken out Obi long ago!

You guys will not stop amazing us. Continue, this money in question is not owed by the state government but owed by a contractor. The police and the then Anambra House of Assembly did thorough investigation on the said money and it was discovered that the money belonged to the contractor, as he went to borrow it from bank, as a loan. Google reports of 250m found with Anambra contract by Anambra House of Assembly and Nigeria Police and clear your ignorance.

To be sincere, all former governors, presidents, vice presidents, senators in Nigeria embezzled public funds. Abeg, people should not start tribal war. OBI is one of them. There is no saint among them, I think this is what Sowore is trying to point out.
Sowore says the truth as it is right?

After resorting to his usual tacky pulling down of his opponents,he expects their supporters to see him as angel Gabriel 😂😂
Sowore....your allegations against Obi are unsubstantiated and pathetically baseless!
The 250million you keep claiming to have been taken by Obi is nothing but beer parlour folklore spewed by the same propagandists who celebrated Buhari's victory like an elated kid welcoming his dad home and expecting a candy!
The question Sowore and other clownish agbadorians should be asking is how come EFCC and ICPC haven't found one evidence to nail Obi or even brought him in for questioning on the 250million matter?
The EFCC boss was appointed by Tinubu and trust me if EFCC had a strand of evidence against Obi,he would have been behind bars by now!

Obi currently has no immunity on him hence it's expected that anyone with evidence against him should show up or remain quiet!
If Sowore believed he has evidence,I challenge him or anyone to walk up to EFCC and present evidence to EFCC!
But they have none!
Tinubu was clearly a drug baron and the evidence is still there till now...why is there no evidence to arrest Obi who is currently a nightmare to Tinubu and his benighted followers!

We are still waiting for that yabaleft Igbo man since 2022 who claimed Obi sells hard drugs and was responsible for a lady being in an Asian prison because she was allegedly smuggling drugs for him!

Sowore I know that you are on nairaland!
Your baseless accusations will never make you win any election!
My brotherly advise to you is to go back to ekiti state and contest as a HOR or senate member so that we can test your political popularity!
Until then go and give an account to ur tribal and deluded supporters about how you embezzled the little money that they managed to contribute for your failed electoral campaigns in 2019 and 2023!

Wickedlywicked:
God bless you for this. Federalism is the best but are we practicing true federalism in Nigeria? The answer is no. What we practice here in Nigeria is parasitism where resources from one state is used to feed the other lazy ones. We claimed to be practicing the American federalism yet we abandoned the core of the system.
If we can’t practice true federalism then we should go back to the prosperous regionalism that was abolished by that jinxed ibo man in 1966. He did the abolishment because of his own selfish ambition and the domineering attitude that the igbos are known for. The system was yielding results at the time but he felt threatened that it would limit his federal power as the then head of state (president)
I will keep saying it, the igbos are the roots of the problems we are facing today as a nation. An Igbo man vehemently opposed the proposal that would have made it easy for any region to leave Nigeria anytime they felt the need to. Yes, you heard me right, the SE (Biafra) would have easily left Nigeria if Nnamdi Azikwe, out of his envy and quest for power, didn’t oppose the secession clause proposal made by Obafemi Awolowo. Again, another group of ibo men started the first-ever bloody coup that snowballed the country into her first-ever bloodshed (civil war)
Today, the children of the greedy Azikwe are now begging to have that Awolowo’s idea that was trashed by their visionless and short-sighted father. Make everybody siddon, sit tight and enjoy this inglorious marriage called Nigeria abeg grin We die hia
True federalism is still the best if practised in it's fullness!
Not like what is practised in Nigeria where there is not state or community policing!
No resource control!
No decentralization of seaports!

We copied but it has failed us woefully. Prior to copycat we were doing well when we practiced regionalism.

The value of the currency was far better when we practiced regionalism. The reason we need a change back to what has worked for us.

So, it's common sense we have to move away from this shocking federalism that was forceful forced on us by the military government.
Guy we only copied the tags!
We were just answering federated units without implementation!
Okay let me ask you.....in this federalism that we are practicing,is there decentralization of policing as practised in the country we are copying from?
Is there resource control?
The sharing formula is supposed to be from LGA to state and then to Federal as practiced in America but we turned it upside down where the federal government controls everything and decides what to give to each state or LGA according to the value of their resources!

Secondly, the value of the currency wasn't because of regionalism but simply because we were producing what we consumed and also exported some which gave value to our currency!
The strength of ones currency is based on the country's level of production which is dependent on factors like adequate security, efficient power supply, cheaper transport system, unified tax and accessible roads to rural areas!

If internal policing, seaports and resource control is taken off the exclusive list,Nigeria in the next 2 years will develop rapidly!

Regionalism was good but it's no long a usable policy for nigeria...the new norm is fiscal federalism(if practised in it's fullness) where states can operate as if it were a country of its own!
States can stand on their own esp considering the abundant resources available in such state in Nigeria!
Lastly I don't really think you understood what true federalism entailed!

Oga, has u.k gone pass regionalism or autonomy?
Since we are doing comparison, can we start with the value of both country's currency?
Are you not aware that we haphazardly copied the structure of America?
We have gone past regionalism!
What we need is the full implementation of fiscal federalism!
Every state should have their own police!
Every state should be given full autonomy to enjoy the benefits of their natural resources!
Every viable state should have their own access to seaports!
Politics › Re: Tinubu Gets Bill On Regional Govt Next Week - PUNCH by bentenny(m): 6:12pm On Jun 08, 2024
These people are still wallowing in the past!
We have gone past regionalism!
States should be given full autonomy according to true federalism to stand on its own and use it's own resources for the benefit of its domain or citizens while giving an agreeable percentage to the centre every month!
This is what the Americans that we copied federalism are currently doing!
What we are currently practicing is feeding bottle federalism making state governors lazy and LGA chairmen docile!
The Senate must start with the decentralization of policing, resource control and ports!
Let every state fend for themselves and watch how development will reach everyone!

cool
Oga go and check the faac allocation of states before and after subsidy removal and you will realize that most if not all of them can pay!
For instance,a governor that used to collect 2-3billion now collects almost 8-9billion and yet they claim they cannot pay?
It's not like the funds are used for infrastructure or productivity...a governor recently spent 10-15billion to build an edifice which is unproductive.
If the governors cannot pay, they should reject the recent increase in their faac or the FG should remove the added funds they gave those states!

On a more serious note, NLC should make more pressing demands beyond minimum wage that affects the entirety of the Nigerian population, not just the civil servants and salary earners. How about insisting on government tackling the inflation rates and high cost of living, price regulation of goods and services, reducing the electricity tariffs, creating enabling policies for business owners and ensuring the welfare of every Nigerian.
That's a good idea!

That's is the most unproductive organization In the country.
10% of them are outside the country.
Some haven't gone to work this year.

They are the most corrupt (even more than the politicians).

If you leave civil servants without salary they wld survive on bribe they take from citizens.

80% of them work less than 12 hrs per week.

Again forget politics. Judge by their conduct do you think they deserve it
Maybe the people you know who work in the civil service behave this way!
However,it will be extremely wrong and illogical to paint every civil servant with the same brush!
There are civil servants that have been coming to work from the very day they started without even applying for leave!
There are civil servants that work their socks off everyday from January to December....some put in 25-35 years of their productive life in civil service with discipline, dedication and commitment!
What do they get in return for their hard work and dedication? Absolutely nothing!
Yet their so called smart colleagues who cheat the system to amass wealth for themselves are now the same politicians that you keep hailing!

immortalcrown:
Nonsense! That means she is incompatible with the man.

Just admit that you don't understand the meaning of marriage and the level of commitment that is required in marriage. Anybody, whether male or female, who plans to not share a room with his or her future spouse will not be commited and sincere in the marriage. The inability or the unwillingness to share one room clearly means incompatibility. Quote me anywhere.

All the reasons presented in this article are childish. Only two of those reasons appear a bit reasonable but are not enough for someone not to share one room with his or her spouse. Let me address those two reasons.

1.
Menstrual pain:
When she battles with the menstrual pain in her separate room, is the husband expected to check on her? If yes, why should she have a separate room? Is it not easier for the husband to check on her when they share the same room? Or should he not check on her? If yes, who will be blamed if she becomes unconscious and something goes wrong? If pregnancy disturbs her and she vomits and becomes too weak to feed herself or put her room in order, will the husband be expected to take care of her in the situation? If yes, it is wrong for her to use menstrual pain as an excuse to have a separate room. If unfortunately she becomes bedridden to urinate and defecate in bed, will the husband be expected to take care of her? If yes, why should she use menstrual pain as an excuse to have a separate room?

2.
Giving her siblings and her friends access to her own room:
What will a married woman keep or do in her matrimonial home that her husband is not worthy to know but her siblings and her friends are worthy to know? Answer this very question if you are not supporting infidelity in marriage. Remember that infidelity is not only about sex.

Every other reason presented in the article is very silly. You know that you keep rooms untidy but you are not willing to adjust and learn how to tidy up your room. You now want to use that bad attitude as an excuse to have a separate room. Any adult that identifies his or her weakness and is not willing to work on it is very insincere and manipulative. Quote me anywhere.
Gracias...nothing more to add!
