hmmm...very interesting even though i slightly dont trust the credentials of the article but what they are saying about telenovela story and settings are worth pondering over...i think its unfortunate what i read about the initial story of elena's ghost...still trying to comprehend the fact that forbidden passion or fearless heart cud have been altered....if i cud borrow some of the words of the article..Predictably, as these changes were implemented the telenovela became a TRAIN WRECK STORY WISE ....ok it is well

..am really having a serious laff here(sorry about that)...so fearless heart was shown to 'viewers' after going MIDWAY and once it got good ratings,the organisers ADDED more characters....OMG..so what can you say about forbidden passion? why were more characters NOT ADDED since the novela was having a high rating MIDWAY....? ...that ideology is preposterous and unthinkable..please sorry 4 sounding a bit direct and blunt!

please note that ALL the characters you see on fearless heart(AND THE ONES YET TO APPEAR) were all PREARRANGED EVEN BEFORE THE TELENOVELA STARTED! I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT!

first of all...am happy we are now in agreement that sum novelas are unique and superb with the progress of their STORYLINE....see a standard storyline is the HALLMARK of any successful film or novela...once the storyline is compromised either due 2 poor ratings or character favouritism,it will lack the necessary ingredients 2 bcome a HIT...

and yes it had good ratings AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE TELENOVELA AND NOT MIDWAY...good or bad ratings from viewers and fans start after the CONCLUSION of a series or novela or a blockbuster film and not midway....comon..THEY DONT WANT TO LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG THAT SOON NAH..WHERE IS THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE?
imagine what viewers wud have said and done about the character of bianca in forbidden passion had they found out during the STORYLINE that she will kill herself...

Jummaima: Oga Bentenny...... bottom line is.......sometimes, I repeat sometimes story lines are changed!!! For whatever reasons, whethere reactions to viewers wants/comments, or actors/actresses being unprofessional etc. Sometimes, storylines just get changed ,just a bit.

Forbidden passion, the original one was made in Chile (tiltled, Aski memu), and in that version Bianca's character shot herself in her room in the presence of Bruno and Ariel, with Nina running on the stairs when she heard the gun shot.(Not at the wedding venue, like we saw) Also, Yayir's Character died from that illness, while our own Yayir survived.

So, whethere Telemundo, changed the story before they started shooting FP, or they adjusted it mid way is left to them!!!

just went through the link u posted and it comfirms once again what i have been saying that when the storyline is compromised,the novela loses its flavour and quality which also questions the competence of the organisers of such telenovelas..no wonder such telenovelas dont make it to the top like the likes of fearless heart and forbidden passion....storylines are meant to be done with or without the consent of the viewer thought...yes SOME novelas may have their storyline changed but that doesnt indicate that ALL novelas go through a story change..infact i am of the belief that organisers of such novelas are so inconsistent and lack creative skills..
like the parting shot of d link,This author believes that this level of response to viewer reaction ultimately compromises the overall quality of the series.

I think it's a big mistake to always give viewers exactly what they say they want, unless the writers don't mind feeling as though they're writing fanfic. It's like letting a toddler plan all the family's meals.

tanks...yeah during my spare time,i watch some that are interesting.the truth is dat soap operas tru telemundo are now better organised,if u cant mite up wit week days,the weekends present an opportunity 2 view all unlike b4 wen u have 2 wait till 10pm on AIT 2 watch an episode 4 d day ...also the telenovelas are very interesting with better plot scenes and lovely makeups esp d ladies

Oh please, miranda met antonio when he has changed the whole world knew he went to rehab, she is just like most girls who likes the good bad guy,besides Antonio is a charming guy (not too handsome) but he has this killer eyes and smiles that what made sofia fell for him despite his scandals, and miranda too.

I dislike sofia for been annoyingly naïve at first but abeg the girl try sha, Antonio did her demeaning things which is difficult for any woman to forget like that, there would always be fear that he might hurt u again so I don't blame her. But she tried to get back to him when their baby was born but antonio refuse to believe her that camilia tried to kill her and other threats until everything became obvious now.
Miranda did nt experience 1% of antonio's dog life + threats from the devil camila. So she can't take credit for loving him as he is.

If Miranda is as smart as she claim, though hard but this is time for her to back off from antonio cos she knew antionio was with her cos Sofia rejected him and he is still much in love with sofia. Antonio would marry her out of gratitude only

lovelydamsel: Telenovelas are not season movies,they are mini soap operas just like the Tinsel and Days of Our Lives.they are shorter than the normal soap operas.can't remember what such plays are called though.soap operas the storyline can change anything can happen.it all depends on the scriptwriters and directors

yes u r rite telenovelas are not seasonal movies per se(tinsel is actually a seasonal film because its into its 2nd or 3rd season or so...)....i used it 2 drive a point 2 a lady on dis thread...am still of d opinion dat storylines hardly change especially if well composed and articulated like forbidden passion,behind closed doors,fearless heart..etc..i keep asking..what were the writers and directors of such telenovelas tinking wen dey formed a half storyline only 2 give another half of d storyline as d movie progresses? ...with the little i know 4rm script writing,dats gross incompetence on their part joor ...but thats my humble opinion sha

trux: wow!!! with all these debate and analysis there is a lot to gain from CL I personally bliv there some good things to lean.
1 people do change if they really wanted to
2 don't be quick judger
3 family comes first(u can giveup anything for family personal experince )
4 there is always a second chance( as long as u still breathing)
CL is one of best soaps and to think was just one mumu soap from the begining.

....no need 2 say more...u objectively summarised your own lessons 4rm CL....one thing i have discovered is dat everyone learns different things 4rm a particular issue(or movie)...thumbs up..enuff said!!

FEARLESS HEART was rated in 2012 as one of the best telenovela ever done...i guess the ratings are also connected 2 the fact that it was a star cast...
