I also had the privilege to apply for a state government job in my state in march this year too. After elections were concluded in april, and the ruling governor was returned to office... it was not long, we were shortlisted in May for CBT. Within the space of 2 to 3 weeks, CBT and interviews were concluded as we learnt the commissioner then for the ministry overseeing the board conducting the recruitment wants everything concluded before the valedictory service planned to be organised for the outgoing cabinet members would take place. Omo, see as men dey happy say, in the next 1 to 2 weeks, we go sabi our fate. Na im dem dissolve cabinet before the recruitment could be concluded. Luckily for the former commissioner, he was given a bigger portfolio when new cabinet was being set up. The setting up of cabinet members took close to 2 months or so. We heard nothing again about the recruitment. Lo and behold, new commissioner came in... took another 1 month extra or so before settling down. In September, he finally decided to release list, coman see confusion. A board member who is a distant relation assured me that my name must definitely come out in the list. When list cane out, he called and told me my name wasn't there. Funny enough, my coursemate who got same CBT score with me, and was interviewed by same panel together at the same time, his name came out. How my name was missing, I cann't tell till today.

WHy am I writing all this epistles? Just to drive home the point that, once there is change of power or office, lot of things happen.

But this DSS own, in fact, this one is just too much. Honestly speaking, I admire you guys' patience.

I have just decided to stop bothering my source. I leave everything in God's hand. I believe all would be well. DSS or no DSS

Well, may be not just cadets, but I assure you there was a directive somewhere on that figure, don't forget, police force has been directed to recruit 400,000, a figure that is unprecedented, I think there is massive need for manpower, so don't be surprised, however, it depends on the agency ogas to either obey the directive or not

Let me add that with regards to new recruitment, we should not despair at possibility of new recruitment, infact once you hear of new cadet recruitment you should begin to be happy; this is because my source (very reliable, but who has been very economical with words/promises) that most likely more people will be recruited to add to the waiting list, that Oga had ordered the recruitment of 5k more, but pls keep it to yourselves as classified for now...so pls don't despair at the sound of new recruitment, it's for your good.

Don't depend on that Emilio26 information, it was someone on this forum whom probably created that account an posted that info, frankly speaking guys nobody know what is going on or if at all this recruitment is even going to be concluded.
Indirectly i know this Emilio26 on this platform an i don't really blame him for his actions.
Everybody is just so frustrated by de whole thing, don't count on de assumption that camp is going to happened by February 2020 cos that was just a fallacious statement by someone among us here whom i said i know indirectly.

This guy claims we shouldn't depend on Emilio26's info cos it's a mere fallacy from a funny guy among us, and while he is entitled to his opinion, I want to humbly differ from his views. Emilio26's info is the most dependable update for now until proven otherwise, based on the following points.
1) He gave real dates, not the "very soon, so soon, few days, few weeks, any moment" that some sources have claimed
2)In depth knowledge of issues; he seemed to have valid facts of things going on within the agency, unlike some sources that claimed it's lack of funds that is delaying the process
3)He was not boastful or too optimistic, but said things as they were, not motivational speaker either;he did not say he was 100% sure, or things like some of our sources said
4)He is not a member of this group! From all indication he is not a job seeker and never had to be here. He only registered to get us informed. Therefore guys, until February reaches and he is proven wrong, his is the current update, so let's brace up and stretch our patience a little more

De Agency is very much aware of de awaiting cadets for de recruitment of Basic course 30, but at de moment alot of things are going on within de agency an recruitment isn't a top priority of de department.
Measures will be put in place to make sure that by de last week of January 2020 all prospective cadets would receive an invitation to resume training at de state service academy Ojo lagos by de 1st week of February 2020.

But sir, if trully recruitment isn't a top priority of the agency how come guards and junior officers are in camp, and it's only cadets that are neglected these years? I don't think the agency is been fair here
