I just graduated from the university and I'm yet to serve but,I posses all the other qualities needed for the job and I live in port harcourt except,no working experience... Can i still apply?

Dame Gambrosia: This can ONLY be possible in Nigeria. . .where parents still feed, cloth and house adult children even in their 60s! NOT ANYWHERE IN THE CIVILIZED WORLD! I dun know ANY of my relatives/friends or accqaintances that had parents with ANY SAY in choices for spouses. NOT IN THIS DAY AND AGE. . . unless with people like OWELE ROCHAS who had to marry-off a 37 year-old daughter to some hungry-looking dude!

Well in this age,parents are suppose to respect their children's choices cuz,matters of the heart are really serious issues but in Nigeria,they've not changed one bit... They've to either tell their sons/daughters not to marry from a particular tribe or,they shouldn't marry the girl/guy cuz they don't jes like him/her..

Hey people,please I want to know from the married ladies and men here,your experiences with your parents and also,your fiance or fiancee's parents concerning your choices of partners? How did you handle your parents? Did you let go and moved on to the next available guy/girl? Did you stand your ground and insisted he/she,was your choice and that was all that mattered? Did your pastor told you,he/she wasn't the one?and did you listen or not and how has your marriage been?

Please share your experiences with parents here..you may be helping someone out,of their delemma..no insults please..

The man owns himself and the roles of both the mother and wife,are very important in his life and they can't be interchanged.. But the wife is more important cuz,she is the one that will be with him,guide him,love him till death do them part... That's why they always say,if you marry a bad wife,your life is ruined but they don't say,if you have a bad mother you are ruined..

However,I'll tell my friend to brace herself for whatever comes out and also continue to pray since,they've not broken up yet.. There's nothing God can't do.

My friend is in a very dark place now cuz,she feels her relationship is crashing.. They've been dating for almost two years now and recently,he engaged her.. However,the problem started when he was to take her to see his dad. Before he engaged her,he has taken her to see almost everyone in his family except his dad,and they all love her. But just recently,he told her that he spoke to his dad about her and the man said,his son can't marry her cuz of where she is from..
And to complicate things for her,his mum has joined the dad saying,she had a bad dream about them and so,she is supporting the dad on his decisions... When I asked her what her fiance is saying cuz,at the end of the day the decision is his to make and she told me the guy said,they should pray about it and after a while,he will meet his parents again and if they don't change their minds,he will let her go cuz,it might be a sign that it isn't God's will for them to be together..

When I hear people kick against going through your man's phone,I kinda get confused. The reason most people give is; you can get hurt by what you may find,which is very true but,does it mean that he can go through your phone and it's alright but,if you go through his it's termed"snooping around"? I don't know if I'm right but I think,if partners need their privacies,they should all keep their phones to themselves but if one of them is always checking the other's phone,then it's ok for both parties to do same.
