hinwazaka: . To be honest, you are the worst analyst on this platform, you are never clear on issues, you are always way of the mark and your partisanship is glaring. You should have simply given your take on the issue and not take a swipe at the op. The message the op wanted to pass across was the difference between the administration of Gowon and that of Buhari. And also FYI: Jonathan was never clueless like the washed up retired OBJ would like us all to believe. If you know how smart and cunning Jonathan is you would have pity for Buhari A government no matter how complex it is, mirrors the personality of the man at the top. Take a constructive look at Buhari's government and put it alongside that of Jonathan and you will see clearly that which everyone fail to realise Since you know better, what then is the difference @bolded? |

Mogidi: In American society Obama or Clinton faced having their children removed by social services for "abandonment" (children require nurturing)
Chelsea and the Obama kids are children, no one would have queried Buhari if Yusuf was 10yr old, there's the difference. Mogidi, how old do you think was Chelsea Clinton when she accompanied her father to Nigeria? She is married with a child now if you must know. I am very sure she was not below 10yrs when she came to Nigeria. The picture of her I saw dancing with Obasanjo didn't suggest she was under 10yrs. Haba! |

Chelsea Clinton accompanied his father Bill Clinton to Nigeria when Obasanjo was president and Americans did not complain. She even danced with Obasanjo in a dinner party .Why are you fussing about Yusuf following his father to America? So if you were Buhari's son,you no go follow your papa travel? luvmijeje: Thanks. FOR ATTAHIRU JEGA: A TRIBUTE On January 11, 1993, Newswatch named Attahiru Jega its Man of the Year. He was barely 30 years old when he had been elected president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities in 1987 and successfully led the union in its confrontation with the military regime. Along the way, he endured detention while resisting incredible pressure including You can check his Wikipedia page for more that regime’s famed capacity to co-opt opponents and the timelessly Nigerian appeal to not embarrass a government headed by one’s ‘brother’, in this case, a fellow Northern Muslim. Jega’s ASUU prevailed after a gruelling standoff in 1992 earning the concessions it was demanding for improvements in university education while he cemented a reputation for integrity and principled activism. Jega’s most recent job as chair of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) came to an end a few weeks ago. Few people leave such a high-pressure job with their reputations intact. Jega handled the task of refereeing Nigeria’s politicians with remarkable grace and fortitude and, in the process, presided over an epoch-making election that has gone some way towards restoring confidence in our democratic possibilities. In overseeing the polls, Jega withstood considerable pressure from vested interests to sabotage the nation’s rendezvous with destiny. It is interesting to be able to trace a line of congruence over a span of nearly thirty years between the adventures of the activist academic in his thirties and the dignified 58 year-old public servant trying to make the most of one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Consistency in public life is such a rare trait. Not everyone has been able to transit from civil society activism to holding public office creditably. Professor Jega is a worthy example of a high performing activist and high performing public servant; a role model in a society desperately in need of role models. He is my Man of the Year. |

2. Seven "High Calibre" Rifles Recovered Dasuki Sambo was NSA for the periods 2012 and July 2015. His position as NSA makes him "enemy" to some people. Having Seven rifles with him for his personal protection is not out of place. Is it not silly to reason that a man who plans to topple the State will only have just Seven (7) rifles? It was even clear that the DSS have no idea whether the rifles were licensed to him or given to him by the appropriate authorities. How does this appear incriminating? this comment is very silly! very very silly! I don't even know what to say! |
