Good evening mama's. Please oh my ds has constipation. He grunts and shoes when he wants to poo and someone's he only manages to fart and then after so many screams, grunts and rolling, he will poo small.

PS - I'm breast feeding and also giving him formula.
I started with SMA gold, then I switched to NAN. I've tried tummy time, and moving his legs like he's riding a bicycle but it's not working. It's so bad it doesn't let him sleep. I've equally tried reducing the number of scoops of the formula

Abeg make una help me. It's painful to see him like that everyday. It keeps him up all night which means I'm equally up all night.

I think it was mommy Zaynie that posted it or so. Give him warm water every morning. Also mommy liftedhands said she gives one scoop less than what was specified in the feeding manual. Hope you understand?

It's been a stressful few days!
From going to the hospital everyday at 2am to drop expressed breast milk and staying till 10pm. It's been hard. I've not slept in 2days!
He is now sucking directly from breast and mehn he can suck oooooo!! He can suck!!!

In all I thank God cos it's better than him not eating at all. The pain and sleepless night is so worth it. 
Ilan is doing well, and we have been discharged. Just waiting to fill paperwork and get home to rest. 

Pls what can I do abt swollen feet? It's so bad it hurts to walk. My bp is normal

Also my left nipple and areola hurts when Ilan sucks. Pls what can I do?

Thank God for speedy recovery dear... boys dey suck na, you no knw?? He is just starting. Like mommy enque told you, take lots of water and reduce salt intake...try to bath as often as possible so that you don react to heat (excess fluid usually pass out through sweat and can give you rashes or eczema).
If you can, get a nipple cream or if you have petroleum jelly (mine is equator from US, very veryyyy effective), take enough and rub it generously round the nipp.le... but please, wash ur nips b4 breastfeeding Ilan ok. Hope he is latching well dear..

The doctor said that the pushing was stressful for him that's why he swallowed some fluid but that he will be fine

As at tonight, he's been taken off the oxygen as his breathing has improved but I can't breastfeed him till the doctor says so. 

Even though labor eventually became very painful, it was still a supernatural delivery to me because some women begin this journey and never make it out of the delivery room! But I started, I got in, and I came out with my son
