Europe, America, Asia even some Africa countries are NOT on the same level with Nigeria when it comes to infrastructures; WE DONT HAVE the BASIC INFRASTRUCTURES. CBN and other commercial banks are part of Nigeria, within 9ja and operational in Nigeria environment. Who says it's not idea? Whenever i'm in Nigeria i'm not comfortable at all carrying cash about. We can't do this in a YEAR time! Think about the internet how many people in Lagos (just to use this as example) have access to it? What about the almighty LIGHT/POWER? These two can't be divorce from the usage/attainment of this lofty idea; an it remains a lofty IDEA. |
As anyone told this man that: -They don't use card/debit cards in Nigeria yet -The market place don't have POS (point of sales) machines -The gas station don't even accept ordinary vouchers -Without usage of debit cards, the plan is going to distort the economy and cause anomalies. |
We can only move forward if we thread the part that Awo, Jakande thread: Selfless service - don't think about urself alone; what about other people wanting education Commitment to achieving a goal - they were interested in leaving a positive legacy Start small, think big - schools were built on visually all the major streets of Lagos, Ogun etc as well as affordable housing. Respect to human dignity - compare the life these new governors want to Jakande and Ajasin. My dear brothers, dream is good yet the realism on ground tells me that we may have a very minute success ( ref: Fashola/Tinubu cold war ) Lets pray for them and not just wish. They are politician to the core; lairs to the bones, these ones |
This is 96/97 accord, if America spec. |
Jonathan is winning in the whole of the south. . Including lagos. . ekiti. . ondo. . .ogun. . oyo. . he is leading in the middle belt states of kwara. . .adamawa. . taraba. . plateau. . benue and will split states like kaduna. . .Niger. . Nassarawa. . so where is my forecast off?. . if anything i underestimated GEJ strength in south west Nigeria I should have know n that the average yoruba man will never vote a hausa for President. . .
GEJ is not likely to win in Niger, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Adamawa states. It may play out these ways: Buhari wins more votes cast ( because of the cheer numbers of votes cast in the North as against the one in the South ). Jonathan wins more states the whole of South and 2/3 states in the middle belt area. Buhari will get 25% of votes cast in Lagos, Oyo and in all middle belts area, You may try to crunch these figures to see my point that we may end up going to second round of voting in for the presidential election. What do u think? |
I hope you guys are checking the figures as results are pouring in from both South and North. As it stands, Paddy Lo, your forecast is nothing but a mere wish. The only thing i don't feel comfortable about now is how the election is turning to North Vs South of a thing. And if the trend continue like this early results, we are ending for a second round. |
It appears it's very hard for most of the younger generation to understand the difference in xters of Buhari and Jonathan. Suffice it to say most of them don't know what their rights is under a free Nation which Nigeria should be; they have seriously been socially tortured to accepting continuation of a government that sees nothing wrong and do not know how to plan for their future. If by any means this goverment continues, most of you that will vote for PDP will have yourselves to blame only that we all have a stake in this country. It's very reasonable to have a change to see what others would do in another 4yrs. Jonathan is not the problem. PDP is the problem. Vote wisely. Vote for change. |
Thanks sir. I'm back at your place. AVAILABLE |
"As a class, you and I and our friends who comprise the elite are incredibly blind. We refuse to see what we do not want to see. That is why we have not brought about the changes which our society must undergo or be written off. We have no option really; if we do not move, we shall be moved. The masses whose name we take in vain are not amused; they do not enjoy their punishment and poverty." -- Chinua Achebe in the "The Trouble with Nigeria" (p 25) The problem lies in our inability to think about tomorrow; for our children; rather we engage ourselves in religion, tribal and self delusion. A soul search means we should look beyond these people and see what they are for rather than what we think they are. What's wrong in a change? The electorate should take this opportunity to show that power actually reside with them. And if by tomorrow the new leaders fail to deliver, then we simply take back our government by voting them out. I'm not in anyways condemning GEJ as an individual, but he's not a tree that he should make a forest albeit the rest of the candidates for the presidential election. Let's think for once that we are in a mess. Look around you, what changes have you noticed for the past decade that is positive in comparison to the negative happenings. |

Na waa ooo> The president is making this huge policy statement without any consideration about time frame. Then it's a political gimmick. I want yam? How do i get it? Where i get it? Who provide it? How do i continue to have it? Those are simple questions that affect the basic choice of people. You just just give order to get a thing that's not available for various reasons, is to me, a mere foolish statement. What he mentioned will take like 10 yrs to implement considering the way we do things. There's nothing bad about that, though other than he want it to be done now! Yea, he has to start somewhere; i know. The problem is this immediate action will lead to another SUBSIDY. Don't ask me how because it's already implied if you really know what is subsidy and how it works. I know i want to start doing something in Nigeria but, where is the power and other infrastructures. Let him do these things one after the other and stop making big POLICY statement like is talking to some BOLI sellers all the time. |
