Fani kayode once wrote "I am weary of a 100 year old forced marriage that is clearly not working..it is not a crime to call for self determination;yet we will eventually take our freedom by force,if it is not freely given to us:we shall take it by fire,by the shedding of blood & by our own bleeding,if necessary. We will take it by fire and by sacrificing our lives if that is what we are forced to do..give me Oduduwa or let me die...He said this in his agitation for Oduduwa Built2last: The hatred people have for Fani kayode and PDP will not allow them read what he said in the above article and the sense in it.
I know Junaid will not make such senseless statement during GEJs time but now that PMB holds sway. we should expect that.
below is my earlier assertions on realisation of Biafra and eventual breakaway of Igbos from Nigeria. If Igbos want to go. whats the big deal. all these attention and palpable fear of Nigerians on Igbos is becoming too much. haba. If they want to go, lets free them peacefully. all these Igbo and Biafra news is becoming boring.
I think that the governments move against Radio Biafra is coming rather late and giving it all the publicity they never had.
I am not one of those who fool themselves that Biafra will not be realised one day. History has it that those who have been held as slaves or third class citizens always gain freedom. The Jews gained freedom from the Egyptians after 450years, Indian got independence from Britain, 1948 the Jews stubbornly carved out a state for themselves in the middle east. The black Americans now vote and contest elections. The scotish will break away from the British someday..its just time. The followership of Radio Biafra is crazy and if the agitation has not died 40years after the war. It wont die again. White Americans told black Americans that they will remain in perpetual servitude. Today history and time has proven those white Americans wrong. Pro-Biafran groups are doing all they can to gain global world leaders attention and trust me they are gaining momentum. The last Biafra day celebration accross the globe gives credence to this. BBC, New York Times and Jerusalem Post has reported in Biafra in the last one week. Thats a reach out if you ask me.
Here is my proposition. I will not tell Igbos to go or stay. It is their right to choose what they want. As a matter of fact the push by many people for them not to go is giving the struggle much more popularity. There was war in Nigeria years back with a monumental pogrom that left many Igbos dead. Nigerian state must not pretend all is well and keep moving ahead. There is need for a reconciliation and assimilation meeting between the state of Nigeria abd Igbo leaders. Ask your Igbo friends at work if they truly will desire to leave Nigeria. 8 out of ten will say yes. The more reason i think the agitation for Biafra actualisation will not die.
The Niger Deltans who were cold enemies with Igbos are gradually aligning and having clandestine meetings. Veraciously clamping down on Igbo Biafra will not work. The support and sponaorship is high and we must not pretend that the inventive power of the Igbos will not help them in this Radio war. How about NBC licensing Radio Biafra with a Different name like Radio Igbo or something else.
I write this because i have the deepest concern for what will become of our great country Nigeria in the coming years if its not well managed. I am married to an industrous Igbo woman who has given me 2 sons. I asked her on bed last night if she supports realisation of Biafra, she said she will sponsor yhe agitation when the time is right. My wife has never mentioned Biafra but its deeply seated in her. We are both highly educated and understand rights. She and my two sons are all i've got. The Irish marry the English, yet the Irish is planning to secede, so, don't crucify me.
There is need for a wound healing meeting now before its too late. We will appear delusional if we think that the Nigeria of 1960 is same today. History has a way of proving those who say things are impossible wrong. Some people said PMB will never become Nigeria's president again. They said he was old, he is a dictator and all sorts. Today he is the president. Biafra will be realised if Igbos are not fully re-integrated into Nigerian politics and all the hate against them stamped out. |

socialmediaman: Read this before you conclude:
I am not here to find Fashola innocent or guilty or hold a brief for him. I do not have the details of the contract so i would wait for a statement from Fashola before drawing my conclusions. Fashola is definitely not crazy to award a contract of 78 million for just a website upgrade. There could be more to it, let's give him some benefit of doubt
If you're knowledgable about websites, you'll know that a contract like this would involve much more than the website itself, like:
Development of custom school management software (ERP system)
Development of taxi service management system ( example Uber)
Development of other custom software management systems for the Fashola projects
If that's the case, then This is no biggie, it's worth the amount, but I am not holding brief for Fashola on this as I do not have details of the said contract award, when he releases a statement, I'll do my own personal assessment about it. We're in an Information Age though, his bad. But for now, I'll say innocent until proven guilty. My dear SOCIALMEDIAMAN i beg to differ with ur opinion on this..in ur great epistle on the 17th of july titled OUR CRIMINAL POLITICIANS MUST RETURN OUR MONEY u made a clarion call in the nineth paragraph urging Nigerians to avoid ethnic sentiments beclouding our sense of judgement in issues regarding the recoveries of our stolen monies..if u fail to condemn Fasholas fiscal and financial reclessnes in the award of contracts during his tenure..then the share in the general evil is certainly yours..The likes of Fashola and Amechi and many state governors have blundered the resources of Nigeria over the past decade with impunity without prosecution..78million for a website development...? Politics › Re: Jos Bomb Blasts: Angry Protesters Burn Churches — Police by Bgino(m): 5:34pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
sinizia: Let me get this straight..
An Islamic terrorist, brainwashed to believe that taking other people's lives will guarantee him or a her 77 virgins and a place in paradise, straps himself/herself and bombs his/her fellow Muslims, and like the cowards they are, the irredeemably violent-ingrained average Northerner takes out his frustration on the Christians who did nothing at all to them?
What's wrong with these Northern beasts? Why did Lord Luggard yoked us together with these wild beasts in human skin? What did we do wrong to Lord Luggard?
Mohammad or Allah gets mocked in Denmark and innocent Christians are killed in Nigeria. What kind of people are these? Many Yorubas are Muslims but they are not violent. Why always North? Why can't these people live as one with people with opposite beliefs with them? This is how they killed Victor Moses' parents and rendered him an orphan. Fashola a YORUBA Muslim has lived with his Christian wife for more than 16 years, they have not killed each other. They respect each other's religions and views. I've never read where Fashola threatened his wife to join him in Islam. But if it's a Northerner, you'd have read that the man killed or threatened to kill his wife. Can't these beasts take a cue from Fashola and other Yoruba Muslims? Must violent be attached to these Northerners?
A Christian converts to Muslim, nobody kills anybody, but a Christian who converted to Muslim and got hailed, later re-converted back to Christianity and behold, these animals sought to kill him. Why are we in this country with the Northerners? Why can't we go our separate ways? We are not ONE!!
My brothers/Christians are killed yearly in the North, but there's no reprisal attacks on Muslims in the East. All abokis are safe anywhere they are, but when other tribes goes to their enclave, they get slaughtered. When is this madness going to stop? What did a church building do the demons? Is the building the bomber? This is raw envy and hate and thirst for blood.
For all these years Christians have been slaughtered like rams, no-one has burnt the mosques. For all the deaths the Hausa-Fulani herdsmen have brought on innocent people, no Mosque has been burnt. But a Northern Muslim killed Muslims and a church is burnt? Just imagine!! These people are nothing but reproach on this country.
Every tribe lives as one, except the Hausa-Fulanis who unleash mayhem everywhere they go. What did this Church do to those illiterate vampires? Did the church carry out the bombing? I hate these bàstards!! sadly one of them ba*tards is now the president.. |
Politics › Re: Keep Praying For Buhari – Jonathan by Bgino(m): 11:02pm On Jul 05, 2015 |
Kenai: The difference between Jonathan and Obasanjo?
One, after serving his tenure, has simply returned to his quiet life, accepting the will of the masses and understanding that politics is not worth the blood of the masses. He may have his shortcomings (which he never denied), but he understands the reality on ground that taking cheap shots at your successor's flaws is not a sign of superiority. He has simply wished the country success and moved on with his life.
...And the other? Despite the numerous big fraud scandals that can be traced DIRECTLY to his name (Halliburton, Siemens, missing oil vessels, Econet scam, National Library scam) this old but immature gorilla has still refused to leave the podium and act like a decent statesman. The same fool behind the blatant electoral frauds in 2003 and 2007 never missed a chance to take cheap shots at his successor like he could ever hold a candle against him. The same creature under whose administration Sharia was legalized in a secular country, had the audacity to come in front of a camera and rip his party membership card apart, all to the morronic applause from the ever gullible simpletons known as masses. The same "do or die" politician has refused to respect the wrinkles on his fat, ugly, saggy body and go take a rest for good. Whispers from the grapevine even suggest he's fielding some personal candidates for appointment under the new government. Agadi nwoke n'enweghi ihere. Shameless old man who couldn't even handle his scattered household but could draft an 18-page letter to the president, trying to sound like a saint. Alas... He is but a hypocritical attention-seeking agbaya. u are so on point about obasanjo..that man stole more than Abacha |

nerodenero: House divided against itself will not stand.
I think in all, I will blame PMB and this statement, 'I belong to everybody and nobody' will be put to test soon. I blame him because he called for a meeting at the ICC and yet he didn't attend the meeting. Who does that? The meeting he called for led to Saraki being elected Senate President and Ekweremadu snickking in through the back door. Besides, how will PMB feign ignorance of the fact that some of his members are too over-ambitious?
PMB feels he is the National Leader of APC and yet doesn't want to interfere in the NASS problem. If truly he is the leader and he shares the same position with the APC leaders on the names recommended by the party, then it's just right and proper for PMB to compel Judas Saraki and Dogara to show honour which they lack towards obeying the position of the party.
Since 1999, OBJ held PDP together, Umar Yar'adua did same and it was under Jonathan that PDP crumbled like a pack of card due to poor handling of challenges, PMB should not allow same to happen under his administration. Any loss by APC is PDP's gain.
Though PMB is a leader and not a polithiefcian, but it is the combination of the two that is needed to survive the political landscape. PMB, the time to act is now. how can u be so sure it was President Buhari that called for that meeting...why would he summon a peace meeting without attending...does this really make any sense to u |
