Good day everyone, I will like to ask; Is it compulsory for the bank to address to the school on the letter of reference for a SOA or the usual "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN" Is acceptable??
The SOA will be submitted to different schools for consideration. Thanks in advance. |

Lol... My brother, it is o. She said that was how it was written by the school. More like Bleep ; Bleep Ltd. She got admitted into Saint Cloud State University, Minnesota. Hollyholy: Are you sure this bank statement is real? Strange o |

Okay... And you were approved Visa or you haven't gone for your interview? She's actually looking at getting an entirely different SOA with a larger available balance. dipdat123: . Well my corporate soa is not like that o. I only have the company name written on it. |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by BGodsonMay: 7:42pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
The name is written then followed by the company's name dipdat123: . There’s no place on your corporate account where the personal name of the corporate account holder is written. You only have the corporate account name written on the soa for example xxxxx nig ltd |

Thanks for this. But in a situation where both names are different...?? The VO might check her profile to confirm if it's same name. Don't you think so?? This is indeed a complicated situation and I'm completely out of suggestions to give her. dipdat123: I think one can still use a personal SOA even after being denied with a corporate SOA. You can inform the VO that you brought a personal SOA of your sponsor this time around. |

Sorry for responding late, I had to confirm from her first before replying. She said it's the sponsor's full name and company name with 26k+ as SOA and 28k+ as available balance. Chonco: What's written on her I20 form? Talking about the Sponsor and total money |

Thank you for your response. So, she can go ahead and change her sponsor I guess... I didn't ask her that part. edox15: I think most times its advisable to have a SOA with x2 of what the cost of attendance is. Also how was she able to get another date after denial? |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by BGodsonMay: 7:24am On Nov 19, 2020 |
Exactly the same thing I told her coz that's what I've been seeing on all transcripts that have been posted on here. So, her fear now is she's not sure how the VO will react seeing that she's using a different sponsor in that short time after she was denied. Abone2: I think the usual advice regarding SOA is to ensure that the balance is at least 2x the requirement on i20. Also, personal accounts are often preferred to corporate accounts. |

Please house, a friend of mine needs help on what to do;
She was denied Visa last month. Her sponsor's account is a corporate account with the exact amount as with her 1 year estimated cost. Now, she will be having her second interview in December but she's contemplating on whether to get a statement of account from someone else with a personal account and a higher available balance or she should stick with the initial statement she took to the previous one that she got denied. She doesn't have any funding from the school.
Please, everyone's contribution is welcomed to this as she's very confused about what to do. Thanks in anticipation. |

Thanks for your response. Please, what about Mississippi State University?? I want to be sure it's a GRE/GMAT/IELTS waived school. Thanks once again. majorstark: UALR - English Language and GMAT/GRE may be waived based on 1. language of taught 2. interview with program coordinator 3. Years of experience (GMAT n GRE) 4. motivation letter |

Good evening everyone, please I need a list of schools that are language testing waivers for a master's degree. Thanks and God bless. Once again, congratulations to everyone that was granted Visa today. |

Thanks for this. I will do that right away! solihp: Email your school that you'd like the scholarship to reflect on your i20, get the new i20 and print it.
The VO might not look at the certificate, so make sure it reflects on the i20 |

Good morning house. Please I will like to know if anyone has encountered this or has idea on how to go about it;
I received my I-20 few days back and attached to it is a Scholarship certificate stating that I've been awarded an Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship but the funding amount of the scholarship isn't reflecting on my I-20. So, my question is; 1. Should I go with the certificate to my interview? And what should I say when the VO asks why it isn't reflecting on my I-20. 2. Has anyone been in this situation?? And if yes was your Visa approved?? Thanks in advance. |

Kindly check your email sir, I will like to have a private conversation with you, thanks and God bless fairheart: Congratulations to all approved applicants. What can I say? Y'all worked hard for this; some of you had to borrow money to fund this dream. So you deserve the joy your approval has brought to you!
My advise: Don't take the funding for granted! Some people somewhere desperately need them, but they don't know how to get it. It's a huge privilege! I know why I am saying this! Please do all you can to study well and graduate as one of the best students in your department. Success can turn to failure if we stop working hard to build on the foundational success, which is the opportunity to study in the US.
All the best guys! |

Congratulations to you sir! Kindly check your email as I will like to have a private discussion with you. Thanks. Etherealbeing: Hey guys, It’s been a long time coming.
Visa Approved on November 6th, 7AM batch.
This is my third interview, I’d previously been denied twice. This was my easiest and simplest interview, Thank God!
Me: Good morning ( I smiled, even though I was wearing a mask) VO: Good morning, we’ll start with your finger prints... VO: what are you going to do in the US? Me: I’m going for my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Edward Waters College, in Jacksonville Florida.(as calmly and as normal-paced as I could) VO types for a bit VO: what course again? Me: Biology VO: why Biology Me: Well, I love Biology (slightly smiled) also, I want to pursue a career in Biomedical research and Biology serves as a great foundational course me me. VO reads his screen for a longggg time VO: who’s your sponsor? Me: I have a full ride scholarship that covers my tuition, accommodation and all.... (pause) plus, My Dad will cover any other expense I might have. VO typesssssss VO: I intend to approve your visa, please keep your i20.... Me: Thank you so much. VO: I wish you good luck, thank you.
One advice I’d give is to sound as natural and sincere as you can. The two VOs kept warning people against reciting crammed speeches or anything from the school website. One of the said ‘have a conversation with me’.
Oh and wear comfortable clothes, I stood for a long time.
Forever grateful to Mr Fairheart, even though I didn’t tell him about today. He helped me the previous times and I'm grateful to everyone on this thread.
God is real and God is good guys! Never doubt it. I pray you experience his Love and Grace like I have. |

Thanks so much for this. This is really really appreciated. I'm grateful ZionSpecie: You just have to use what is available for you. A very strong reason why the person is spending almost all his money on you will do. If it's your parent, that will be easy. Otherwise the person must be so indebted to you either because of how your parentsvgor him to where he is, or he has been the one footing your school bills from time. There could be many more reasons though |

Noted! Thank you for your response. Cocao: Your school does not need to reupdate your I20. If you can print out a sufficient balance from your sponsor and you have confidence in convincing the VO, then you can go ahead |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by BGodsonMay: 2:02pm On Oct 25, 2020 |
Thanks for your response. It's very much appreciated. Considering your points, do you suggest I get another SOA with a high available balance and have my school update my I-20 or is there a better option on how to go about it?? And yes, my uncle is my sponsor. Thanks once again Cocao: I think the fund is too small. You dont have any funding from the school and you can only show just a teeny little over one year's estimate. Do you think its enough to convince a consular? Secondly, who is your sponspor? If it is uncle or other relation, how do you justify an uncle giving you all the money in his account for studying? Please mull over these |

Good morning everyone. Please, I'm still waiting for a response, thanks. BGodsonMay: Good day house! I've been follower of this thread and I must say that it has been educating, all thanks to everyone of you contributing his/her little idea. I'm awaiting my interview appointment at Lagos consulate. In the meantime, I'm kinda confused about the amount of money available in my sponsor's SOA although it was approved by my school.
The total estimated average cost is $25,219 While the available balance on my sponsor's SOA is $27,880. I don't have any scholarship. Please what are my chances at the interview with this funding?? Or do I have to print an updated SOA showing a higher available balance even if it's not going to reflect on my i-20 since I've received it already??
Suggestions please. Thanks and God bless |
