An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue the Certificate of Return to former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, who won the March 9th election for the Imo West Senatorial district.



INEC had withdrawn the Certificate of Return after its resident officer for the election, alleged he made the announcement of Okorocha winning the election under duress.



Delivering judgement in an appeal filed by Okorocha at the court, Justice Okon Abang this morning, said INEC lacks constitutional jurisdiction to withhold a Certificate of Return. According to Justice Abang, any person declared a winner in an election by the returning officer, remains the winner until petitioners succeed in upturning the declaration at the election tribunal.


He added that it is only the Federal high court that had exclusive jurisdiction to rule in such a matter.

Okorocha left office on May 27th. In his valedictory speech, Okorocha accused some members of his party of working to make him politically redundant. He alleged that the refusal of INEC to issue him his Certificate of Return, was politically motivated.

Chicago goons gunned down a woman, while she was holding her 1 year old baby in her arms – and it was caught on video.

Brittany Hill, 24, was shot and killed while talking to a group of men in her neighborhood. A car drove by, rolled down the windows, and shots rang out – hitting the mom who tried to shield her baby from the gunfire.

Unfortunately, Brittany was immediately struck by one of the bullets in the abdomen, but was able to keep hold of her child and then turned to shield her baby from further gunfire, prosecutors said.

During the jussie smollet’s case, Cops said they found a paper packet containing 2 small plastic bags with white powder, but there are no specifics about what that white substance was. The House of Representatives yesterday passed a bill that puts an end to the existing dichotomy between higher national diploma (HND) and bachelor’s of science (BSc) degree holders in the country.


The bill which was sponsored by Ali Isa and Edward Pwajok from Gombe and Plateau states respectively, prohibits the dichotomy and discrimination between first degree holders and HND in the same profession, especially those in the public service.

Honorable Pwajok who sponsored the bill, said the discrimination between University degree holders and HND holders was morally unjust. According to him, University degre holders are placed on N100, 000 on entry level while their HND counterparts are placed on N70, 000 salary.

A 26-year-old blogger has a skin condition that forces her to stay away from the sun and only go out under the cover of darkness. This means she has to live her life like a vampire.



Andrea Ivonne Monroy suffers from xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), which means her skin can't repair DNA damage caused by sunlight. The sun's rays could cost her her life so she stays away from it.


On the rare occasions when she has to go out in the day time for a medical checkup, she is forced to cover up completely, including wearing a protective hat and mask, to protect herself from the sun or risk skin cancer.

Her one-in-a-million genetic condition has also forced her into early menopause. People with the condition have an average life expectancy of just 37.


Andrea Ivonne lives with her parents - Maria and Martin - in San Diego, California, and the house must always be kept dark during the day with curtains that block out UV light. The family can only use LED lightbulbs inside and Andrea Ivonne has to carry a light meter with her.



Due to her condition, Andrea was home-schooled by her mum and she works from home. She has never been able to go out to work. Her body’s severe reaction to all light, especially sunlight, means daylight actually hurts her eyes.

Andrea has had 27 surgeries so far. The first took place when she was six to remove cancerous growths on her face. She has also had other cancerous growths removed from her stomach and hands.

IT was reported that Blac Chyna has been accepted to take a course at the Harvard Business School Online to study Business Analytics. this was dutifully confirmed and her acceptance letter.....was shared online.

Now, Harvard have denied she was offered an admission.

In a follow-up report,......TMZ states that they received a statement from Harvard itself, which read, "Harvard Business School Online has not admitted nor provided an acceptance letter to a person named Angela White" — meaning the letter she gave the outlet was a fake.

It was also revealed that the admission stunt was put together by a PR firm run by Christian Emiliano, who sent her team an email offering "to do all the work and even take a picture of her wearing a Harvard hoodie ... for a price."

In the mail, it was claimed that the fee is $3250 and the plan was to add "attended Harvard" to her resume in order to boost her brand.

"Our team will complete all the course work for you, all you have to do is take one test (we will provide you the study guide) and then take credit for the program," the alleged report said. "You can go on the Harvard campus and take a picture with a Harvard hoodie on / you can post updates on your snapchat and Instagram Story."

As for where the $3,250 goes ... "$2,250 for the course/$1000 for us to complete the entire course for you."

A woman’s face and neck has been left covered in blisters after a facelift procedure went TERRIBLY wrong.

The woman, in her 50s, went to Taipei, Taiwan, for a plastic surgery. She is believed to have had Thermage treatment, a face-tightening procedure using radio-frequency technology that heats deep layers of the skin to stimulate collagen – Unknown to her, her skin had become burned from the inside after having the treatment.

She returned home after being given the all clear.At home, she started feeling a sharp pain on her face that was quickly followed by the appearance of burn blisters. She went to a hospital but ended up in intensive care for three weeks as she was covered in second-degree burns.

Due to her burn injuries, she will need to wait at least two to three months before undergoing any new procedures.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has launched a probe into the credentials of applicants dating back to 2009.

THE IMPLICATION of this probe is that – persons who cheated the system to pass the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to get into school and may have even graduated and participated in the National Youth Service Corps will be arrested and their certificates withdrawn.

The Head, Media and Information of JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, said this during an interview with Punch on Monday saying the probe had begun and it would be completed in record time as JAMB had acquired software which would be able to identify fake biometric data.

Speaking in a separate interview on 95.1 Nigeria Info FM Abuja, the JAMB spokesman said,

“We want to do what we call biometric verification dating 10 years back. Even if you are now working and we discovered that someone wrote exams for you, we will publish your name and the law agencies will do the needful. We have the biometric data from 10 years ago. We will compare the photos with thumbprints and names. We discovered that a candidate could have taken exams with 30 different names.”

The JAMB spokesman said it had become important to expose exam cheats to serve as a deterrent to others. He said the photos of those found culpable would be published for all to see even if they were now working class persons.

“If you graduated from university and you did not take UTME, it means the foundation is faulty and the building cannot stand. We have already started the probe but we will go deeper after the exams.

“It will not take too long. We are using software, so it will just check the biometric data of candidates and if the biometric data of someone shows about six different names, then it will notify us. So, if one person’s photo brings up different names and we have spotted this, we will find out where the person is and then we will pick them up.”

A 25-year-old woman's face was badly torn by her husband, such that about half of her face lost its skin and you could almost see her skull. But doctors managed to reconstruct her face again and it's being referred to as a medical miracle.



According to Medical Creations Instagram account, the woman was assaulted by her husband and he tore her face. Getting her back to normal would have seemed impossible but doctors managed to do it and, looking at her now, it's hard to tell how damaged her face was before the surgeries.

Medical Creations wrote:



A 25 years old female presented with alleged history of assault by husband over the left face. There was degloving and avulsion of the left side of her face including the nose, forehead skin and eyebrow on the left side, upper and lower eyelids and part of the cheek. The globe as well as eyesight was intact. The extra ocular movements were present.


A thorough debridement was undertaken, and the devitalized tissue was excised. Meticulous suturing was done to relocate the avulsed structures to their respective
positions.



After four weeks, costal cartilage graft was used for nasal augmentation. At follow-up one year after the trauma, and after two
surgeries, the patient was satisfied with no functional defcit. There were no nasal or ocular complaints. Eye opening and closure were normal. Doctors felt that the cosmetic outcome was suboptimal, and offered the patient the options of scar revision over the forehead, staged removal of skin graft over the cheek, and a more appropriate eyebrow positioning. However the patient was satisfied and was not desirous of any other surgical procedures suggested to her
