Politics / Re: Abia State Is Now The Least Revenue Generating State In The South by Biafrarep(m): 8:22am On Nov 10, 2021 |
Penguin2: For Abia State to be in same league with Ekiti and generating less than Ebonyi is actually scandalous. If Abia State potentials are optimized, it should be earning among the highest IGR in Nigeria considering the potentials in the state. However, it is not only Abia State that has defied logic in this IGR issue, I think Kano is equally doing terribly in that aspect, they're actually the worst because with all the federal government allocations, trade and commerce, industries and bloated population, that state should be in the first 5 states in IGR generation. The reason why Abia State is at that embarrassing position is because of poor governance. There is almost non existent infrastructure like good roads and ease of doing business which is a disincentive to tax payment. If you own a business in the city and the road leading to your factory is impassable causing you losses in revenue you will never want to pay tax. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Lagos Leads As States’ Mid-Year IGR Hits ₦849.12 Billion by Biafrarep(m): 4:57pm On Nov 09, 2021 |
aribisala0: You must be an otondo to be asking this sort of dumb question. Every state in Nigeria recieves billions of naira every month from federal allocations. Out of it, all civil servants in that state will PAYE will be deducted from all their salaries, same with contractors that execute projects. Remember that PAYE forms bulk of the IGR of most states in Nigeria! Are you now getting the point? If NW has only 5 states instead of 7, its IGR would have been much lower than it currently is. On the other hand, if SE has 6 or 7 states, its IGR as a region would be much higher than it is currently. |

Based on their standard template for Southern Nigeria, I would expect the Nigerian police to retaliate by burning every house and arresting every young man found within a 10 mile radius of that community. If they can't do that in the North, then why do they always do it in the South?? 11 Likes |

nazicartel: Lagos is nothing without the rest of Nigeria! It is the activity from the rest of Nigeria that makes Lagos what it is and not the other way round!! Bulk of the so-called IGR comes from PAYE. Now federal government has almost all its parastertels and agencies in Lagos and Abuja, so you now know why they are earning the most. 3 Likes |

Every day they keep peddling fake IGR yet hunger has almost finished all of them. What they won't tell you is that PAYE i.e. pay as you earn is responsible for most of the so-called IGR. Now over 90% of all federal government agencies, ministries and parastertels are in Lagos and Abuja, with the remaining others in Kaduna and Rivers. That's basically why they account for most of the PAYE tax. Again, while all other regions have 7 & 6 states each, SE has just 5 meaning a massive loss PAYE tax that would have accrued to the region had it been they have 6 or 7 states. Rubbish!!! |

Education is critical in this life, that's why Igbos keep getting ahead of others. If he had been born in the North, he would probably be an okada rider or Fulani herdsman 118 Likes 10 Shares |

Ebi2233: You guys are not naturally intelligent and neither are you educated, that's why you think you can use intimidation and violence to seize your neighbors lands. Now let me educate you how you all going to lose all those stolen lands. 1. Onece Bini people completely take control of Gelegele as they're currently doing, it will totally cut off your settlements in Ondo state and the Yorubas will claim it fully using logic and diplomacy. 2. Okrika people knows that Ikwerre and Ijaw can't possibly live together, so they will eventually distance themselves from Ijaws fully so they can integrate fully in P.H 3. Ubani Igbos in Bonny and Opobo knows that ijaws have nothing to offer them except violence, instability and underdevelopment so they will naturally team up with their Igbo brothers to become the new "Lagos" flush with peace, stability and progress. 4. Oro people in Akwa Ibom will naturally go with their Akwa-Cross brothers. 5. With the loss of Gelegele and Ondo Ijaws, the Itshekiri and Uhrobo will isolate the Ijaw settlements around Warri. Ultimately, ijaw will have few local governments in Bayelsa and maybe Delta to form their republic with. 1 Like |

Ogogoro landgrabbers thinking they could steal their neighbors lands through intimidation and violence. Don't worry, when Igbos are done settling bigger issues in Nigeria, we will face you guys squarely and ensure that every single bit of land you stole from your weaker neighbors are fully returned to them. Ijaws are too small and insignificant to pose a threat. |

Ijoh: Ijaws are too insignificant to be noticed and even in the next 100 years, you guys will never achieve 10% of the exploits Igbos have made in diverse fields!! The only things ijaws are noted for are all nuisance activities, like militancy, oil bunkering, landgrabbing, oil pollution, and cultism. Because you're incapable of evolving as modern progressive humans, that's why you can't even develop a moderate sized town but instead will be dragging other people's lands. 2 Likes |

Ijoh: You think the original owners of Yenegoa will allow Ijaws to steal their city? Okrika is just Ijaw, stop all these landgrabbing! Let's even assume that they're Ijaw, so how do you intend to carve out a section of a city and put in another country? How possible is that? So, in essence, you can see that ijaw republic is still a fantasy since it doesn't even have a capital. 1 Like |

Only for Supreme Court to impose Hope on Imo State from far away Abuja. What would Imo people have done in such circumstances??! Instead of gloating with your senseless comparison, you better pray that same madness they imposed on Imo State is not contemplated on Anambra state. Because you will still be helpless just like Imo people. Senseless people everywhere!! |

They lost the moment they made "Hopeless" the face of their campaign. They're so stupid to have used one of the most hated Igbo governor of all times to campaign for another failure. Even Andy Ubah looks clueless most times. Contesting against Soludo is like a dullard going against a first class material on a scholarship contest. 1 Like |

GreatBoss: Stop telling lies while hoping that people will believe it someday. There are no Ijaws in Rivers State except those that are living there as non indigenes. Indigenous Rivers people always refer to Ijaws as bayelsans. Ask yourself why they do that? Also ask yourself why Wike threatened ijaw youths to go back to Bayelsa when they tried to protest at NDDC office. Your IYC and the rest are just cult groups juvenile delinquents in niger Delta like identifying with because it gives them cover to be perpetrating crimes such oil bunkering, extortions and other juicy criminal activities. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

How can you say that ijaws in Delta are up 1 million? That's impossible! Igbo speaking aborigines of Delta State are the most populous in the state and makes up about 40% of the state's population. Followed by Uhrobo, then Itshekiri before isoko and ijaw taking up the rear. Mind you emphasis on "Igbo speaking" i.e. entire Anioma as an entity. Meanwhile, I doubt ijaws are even up to 3 million when you consider that Bayelsa is the smallest state in Nigeria yet there are different ethnicities there aside Ijaw. Also, in Rivers, Delta, Edo and Ondo where they are found, they constitute an insignificant proportion. It's just that they make the most noise and also like to use violence to intimidate their fellow minority neighbors. 6 Likes |

Any attempts to rig this election in favour of APC especially now they are saying it will drag till Sunday will lead to more crises.
