Bastardlyrich: How can a SS man taking the turn of SE be a win-win? Goodluck Jonathan has taken the turn of SS, so it's now going to SE. Don't get it twisted, I have nothing against Amaechi, just like other Igbos but this is not about him. |
Politics / Now It Has Been Established That Opobo & Bonny Are Igboland by Biafrarep(m): 9:14am On Dec 16, 2021 |
Now it has been established that Opobo and Bonny are both Igboland, with all facts and evidences already pointing to that, is anyone still in doubt that Igboland/Biafra will be one of Africa's greatest nations if/when Nigeria finally breaks up? I see Bonny and Opobo reclaiming their precolonial greatness under Biafra because it was largely the rest of Igboland that contributed to its earlier massive wealth due to enormous trade that flowed within the region until the British colonialists arrived and forced the great Jaja of Opobo into exile. Since then until now, the two famous city states declined but the emergence of a unified Igboland trading seamlessly like they did in the past will definitely reestablish the greatness of the region. It will certainly be a win-win for the aborigines of Opobo and Bonny, as well as all other Igbos. Unknown to many, Lagos was just empty swamplands when Bonny and Opobo were already great cities! It is actually the loss of these great cities that made Lagos what it is today because if we had maintained trade inflows and outflows through Bonny and Opobo like we did in the past, instead of channeling it through Lagos like we are currently doing, the areas would have been among the most developed in Africa today! Unfortunately, the "jo-men" who were all noted by the early explorers as "teeth-filing" savages may eventually return to their militancy and pirate activities just like they did since recorded history. However, to effectively counter this potentially unsavory situation, we must as a necessity build a very strong navy that will patrol our waters and ensure it's safe at all times. The future is indeed very bright!!! 27 Likes 2 Shares |

9Pluto: You're doing a great job in bringing to awareness, years of blatant falsehoods and ridiculous attempts at rewriting history that was championed by one fraudulent ijaw ethnic irredentist. However, we need to take this awareness beyond nairaland. Facebook and Twitter are the two platforms we must take this awareness to so we can capture more audience, particularly the enlightened elites of Opobo and Bonny. At this point, we already have enough facts and evidences to take up ijaw landgrabbing goons, including their chief instigator, Alagoa. If alagoa is afraid of coming out in the open to confess why he tried to commit such sacrilege on the aborigines of Opobo and Bonny, then we will have to take the debate to him! Doesn't he have social media accounts? We must confront him now he is still alive!! 15 Likes 1 Share |

Gbagura: Yet over 200 afonjas were murdered and their vital organs harvested for ritual purposes in the last one week! No one is safe in yorubaland anymore as you could be kidnapped by skull miners now on rampage across the SW. You better go and insure your head, I heard it's worth just 25k in the black market across your region 4 Likes 1 Share |

sanctity454: Honestly, it is the younger generation Igbos that are investing seriously in Owerri. The older generation had complex issues, maybe due to the civil war. Captain Iheanacho couldn't see the potentials of building a refinery in Imo State but a Northerner did and they're even expanding their capacity. Meanwhile, I was driving around New Owerri few days ago and was impressed with the sort of classy investments springing up around that axis. With a visionary governor, Owerri will definitely become one of the most beautiful cities in Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |

sanctity454: This road is the boundary between new and old Owerri. I hope he does something presentable there and not the usual mediocre crap we are now used to. I wonder why we keep having governors without taste nor class, when I see the kind of exotic recreation centers other African countries are building I feel like crying for our hopeless situation. |
Politics / Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Biafrarep(m): 1:29pm On Dec 15, 2021 |
NkanuSon: It is dying because we Igbos have no passion in it. We mostly see people speaking fluent Igbo as local/primitive/illiterate but see those speaking English as educated/literate/tushed. That's where the problem lies! Nobody will want to invest in an Igbo language radio station when nobody is interested in it. It's all about demand and supply! In the NW, they have Hausa radio stations, Hausa newspapers etc. Same applies to the SW where they have yoruba Radio stations and newspapers. Such investments thrive there because the populace are passionate about their language. These people too would be very happy to converse in Hausa or Yoruba in Facebook, Whatsapp etc but Igbos would rather use English for every discussion, even in kindred meetings!! 3 Likes |

sanctity454: If that's the kind of filling station he can build in Imo State then it's better off demolished! This same man took his modular refinary to Lagos despite the fact that Imo State is rich in oil and gas. Yet he had the audacity to contest for Imo State governorship election! Rubbish!!! 4 Likes |

There is very little or nothing the Hausa can do again to free themselves. The Fulanis have completely caged and emasculated them. Same tactical attritional overwhelming is being done in the SW, with Kwara already in the bag. 18 Likes |

purpulrain: To me, traveling to Ivory coast could be likened to traveling from Lagos to P.H, no difference! If you want to leave Nigeria, why not go to places that are significantly better? Have you also considered language barrier? It actually sounds ridiculous to me when people make such moves except it's for a particular lucrative business. |

Gosh, with such fvrked up mentality, everyone is at risk over there, including you!! Human skulls and other body parts are currently being mined and sold for 25k in large numbers because your people actually believe in such fetishes |

9jah: On the contrary, I think you're the unreasonable and daft one here. It beats me how you will wake up to ask 40 million people what they want if you're not a mischief maker. Common sense should have told you that 40 million people can't possibly want the exact same thing! At best, you can conduct a poll, vote or referendum, or anything of such and take the majority wish but coming to nairaland to write a book only to end up asking a silly question is actually madness to me. |
Travel / Re: UAE Lifts Ban On Passengers Travelling From Nigeria by Biafrarep(m): 8:43am On Dec 14, 2021 |
Sonyboom765: Lalasticala & Mynd 44, has it become official that any misguided juvenile can come on this platform and insult an ethnic group, Igbos recklessly? I'm Igbo and supported both Buhari and Hadi Sariki during the diplomatic row with UAE over the maltreatment of Airpeace and in extension, an insult on Nigeria. Likewise, I saw some monikers who are apparently not Igbos but were against the policy by Nigerian government, yet this juvenile had to profile Igbos for unwarranted insult. If this guy is not appropriately banned, then it would be unfair to ban others when they respond in kind. |
