Yes abia is more populated but remember yobe is a border state and thus has extra trade with neighbors which attracts increase in trade vis-a-vis consumption.

Haha, one funny thing with lies and propaganda is that you will continously need more lies and propaganda to make it stand.

Talking about trade and commerce, are you in any way trying to compare Yobe State with Abia State? What volume of goods and services flows between Yobe State and its neighbors? Will it ever get to 10% of what flows between Abia State and Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Imo, the rest of Nigeria and Cameroun etc.?

Most states in SS except Delta and Edo states rely on Abia State for certain goods and services!

Producers in Aba also supply to customers all over Nigeria and beyond!!

Believe me, no sensible person who is educated will believe this nonsense propaganda.

The same way they tried adding Lagos into the oil producing states commission. Now they are preparing some Northern stars for the same commission using some well juggled petroleum data.

Another thing Nigerians need to investigate is that refinery at the Niger end of Nigerias borders. Who owns that refinery and who supplies them oil..

I wouldn't be surprised if someday in the future, it is proven that oil is being clandestinely pumped from the Niger Delta to Niger republic.
After all, Dangote has already finished his deep water pipelines from the Niger Delta to Lagos for his so called refinery built with huge CBN subventions. And they're pretending like the oil will come from Lagos State..

It is barefaced manipulation of data like this that threw Nigeria to the dogs! Data should be sacrosanct and reliable, so it could help in planning but the reverse is the case in Nigeria due to politicization of everything!!

They're currently manipulating oil and gas extraction data, and soon you will hear that Bauchi and Gombe are producing 1 million barrels of crude oil on paper grin grin

Yes yobe generates vat more than abia because vat is paid buy consumer and this means the are more consumers in yobe than abia.

That of Kano and Kaduna u re mixing IGR report with VAT. Kano has always collect more vat than Kaduna

Get ur fact straight

You're the one who needs to start reasoning rationally like an educated person.

Abia State is also more populous than Yobe state, as shown in the attachment below!

Again, poverty is endemic in Yobe State with a significant proportion of the citizens displaced which ordinarily should negatively impact its VAT compared to Abia State that is relatively stable and has far less proportion of its citizens under poverty line! Based on logic, there should be far more people with disposable income income in Abia State than Yobe State which should also translate to VAT!!

Have you now seen that these figures are nothing but satanic data from hell?!

Lol, they're now using all manner of gimmicks including psychological in their fight against secessionists.

Nigeria is the only country where government data/statistics is totally at variance with reality on ground. Why? Because they always cook and manipulate figures for political reasons!

Now, let's look at this dispassionately without emotional attachment: Yobe state 9.7 billion vs Abia State 2.2 billion shocked shocked

Whoever has been to Abia State knows the state is economically viable. Abia State is unarguably the fourth most Industrialized state in Nigeria after Lagos, Ogun, and Anambra States in that order!

Abia State is also the 3rd most commercially viable state, after Lagos and Anambra!

Abia State is also an oil producing state!

Now, can someone tell me a single industry, commercial activities or mineral extraction going on in Yobe State that made it to generate 9.7 billion against the purported 2.2 billion from Abia State? It even gets worse when you consider that same Yobe is grappling under Boko Haram and bandits, with poverty rates in excess of 90%! Which means consumer spending will be extremely poor relative to Abia State!

Again, it was reported that Kaduna generated 50+ billions last year while Kano generated less than 20 billion in VAT, but this year, they're now claiming that Kaduna generated less than 20 billion while Kano now generates higher!

Why should VAT figures be swinging like yoyo pendulum? Except there was a war, epidemic or natural disaster that occurred in a particular State, its VAT should ought to remain stable except of course it's being manipulated for non-altruistic purposes.

Can't you all see the discrepancies?
The lack of logic and rational explanation?
The weirdness of the figures and their swinging nature?

Who else noticed that all these figures being bandied about and how they're always eager to "prove" with same obviously cooked figures about how SE is generating very low figures increased in tempo the more Igbo groups agitated for Biafra?!

If you guys think that bandying cooked figures to give the impression that Igboland is not viable will scare Igbos to abandon Biafra then it shows how myopic they are. If anything, Igbos have a can-do spirit and will even dare to prove you all wrong!

Embrace Igbos and show them a sense of belonging if you really wish to have them in Nigeria and not through all these ridiculous gimmicks!!

We yorubas love ourselves. We only abandon Igboho and disown oduduwa. When Sowore was in detention, out of love we reminded him that he is not a pure yoruba man and we cant stand with him.
When Adebowale Sikiru went for interview, Femi Osibona only dismissed him because he is a yoruba muslim.

I know you as a person and your ilk don’t have anything to lose. I only pity the Igbo business that will cry that they gave them 20 pounds because now that money doesn’t worth much.

What a dumb nitwit! So you broker peace by slandering Igbos? He who comes to equity must come with clean hands, I guess that adage doesn't exist in yoruba lexicon.

Considering our large numbers accross Nigeria, if we are troublesome as you're trying to falsely allude, we will be having issues everywhere. Igbos are too business minded and enlightened to engage in such. On the contrary, we know those that celebrate agbero culture and NURTW which is unarguably yorubas!

You're really dull, the same SA where there were more yoruba casualties during the xenophobic attacks is the one you're referring to again? They hold you here, you run to another argument, spewing rubbish.

[s]Modified: I appreciate the mods for bringing back the thread.

Afer going through many thread and then doing some thinking, I think we are stooping low because when you argue with a mad man in the market square at the top of your voice from a distance people will not know who is who.
I see these people as troublesome people who are not afraid to drag anyone to their extremely low level. If you go through nairaland, you will see that igbos have problem with Hausa, Fulani, Edo, Ijaw, Itshekiri and even people outside Nigeria. Never have I seen Yoruba people so hateful until the igbos started attacking us prompting us to reply. They are winning because people already think we are like them. I saw a comment yesterday that called out Yoruba and Igbo for tribalism saying “shame on us both” and i felt very ashamed. Since the time I read the post I have not made any comment against them even though I have seen their work especially with Tinubu’s visit to OUK. I realized they are just naturally mischievous and hateful. Also there’s a thread on how the Ngwa (a igboid group) are really bad. After opening the thread I realized this hate is not just against Yoruba but it’s in them to hate. Now why go through the mud with them?
I know it’s hard to ignore an elephant in the room but we shouldn’t become something now that will stick because when it sticks like them we might start telling our children how some tribes are very bad and they too will pass it to their children making the next generation really hateful which is what’s playing out in igboland right now. I will close this post the same I opened it. When you fight dirty with a mad man from the distance people will not know who is who.
I will attack some screenshots that should tell you that you don’t try to make sense with someone that doesn’t want the sense.
Ejo eyin Omoluabi, Omo Oodua, omo ku ootu, oojire bi? Aji sebi Oyo laari, oyo o ni sebi baba eni kookan.
Please don’t let them turn us into a tribalist. They have tried to create many moniker under different tribe including our own Yoruba to attack us.
When you see I’m not Igbo but….
Im Yoruba but… that’s a signal just let them be please.
Olorun a ran wa lowo o[/s]

Very typical of two-faced hypocritical people. Folks like you continue to prove that famed afonja backbiting and two-faced nature is a way of life for you people and never a myth!

Some of us have stayed long in nairaland to know the side that started throwing tribalistic slurs against the other. You afonjas started it! Go and check the period when monikers like Gbawe, aljharem, Demdem and the rest were popular in nairaland and check the ethnicity that was always made the butt of wicked jokes and defamation. But now that Igbos have retaliated and upped the game by beating you to it, you started crying fowl. Very typical of afonjas!!

Igbos are troublesome according to you, yet there is no record of Igbos fighting any other ethnic group in Nigeria since 1970! Can you tell me any other ethnic group that has such record? Now let's compare with Yorubas, since 1999, there has been the following fights recorded between "peaceful" Yorubas and other Nigerians:

Yoruba vs. Ijaws (Lagos).
Yoruba vs. Hausa (Lagos, Ibadan).
Yoruba vs. Fulani (Oyo, Osun).

Yet non between Igbos and others!!

Your frustrations is because Igbos are now beating you in the game you started only for you to start crying fowl while trying to cunningly make Igbos the scapegoat.

Two-faced hypocritical people!!!

Na wa o. Their Christians should unite with Ogun worshippers if they hope to withstand the Islamic fundamentalists.

The funny thing is that while the moon-god worshippers consider religion first before tribe, the Christians on the other hand don't and that's why they're on the receiving end.

Guyman02:
The stigma attached to meth in the South East is really helping to discourage youths from taking it.
Families believe that it can make their children mad and are ready to report suspected takers to community youth groups and vigilante and pay for their children to be thoroughly flogged and detained until they pledge never to take it again and they must report to the Vigilantes office daily to be tested

That's one thing about Igbos I like so much, once they're determined about something, they will go all out. The massive awareness this thing got within days and the campaign that was mounted against it in Igboland was something else.

The worrying part is that the stuff looks appealing to the eye, clear and just like ice crystals and people can move around with it in disguise. If this thing is introduced to Northerners, it's game over grin grin

The stigma alone in being associated with mkpuru miri now is worse than having AIDS in the 1990's.

I bet you, if this problem had occurred in another region, they probably would have ignored it. Even the North has worse drug addiction problem but it's rarely discussed undecided

Lagos generate huge income that it shares among 36 states. If Lagos should win the right to keep her revenue what would happen to your own state economy? Because by then Lagos would afford rail and power supply and even 4th mainland bride but wetin your own people go chop? Ungrateful minion

Still talking rubbish and giving unreasonable excuses. Does Lagos share its IGR with other states too? Is Lagos not getting allocations from oil revenue even when it does not produce oil? Is Lagos not enjoying oil MNC tax even when their operations are in Niger Delta? So whatever you think Lagos gives out, it gets in return from other places in Nigeria!!

I once lived in Lagos years back and couldn't stand the hobbesian nature of life there and I moved out.

That's how you guys keep decieving yourselves, Lagos should never use other states in Nigeria to benchmark itself because that's stupidity. Lagos should be benchmarking itself against its mates like Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cairo etc and those cities are advancing fast while Lagos keeps comparing itself with other states in Nigeria and be bragging with mediocrity.

My crime was mentioning Tinubu.

Now there’s a pattern like never seen before. I mean this is the first time I’m seeing so much people talk down Tinubu’s strides in Lagos.
Like for the first time I’m reading anywhere that Tinubu’s tenure was bad for Lagos. Got me thinking maybe I’ve been misinformed so I created this thread.
I’ve read from everyone that think Tinubu is a bad presidential candidate. But I need people that are better informed about Tinubu’s policy and projects in Lagos. Because of non Lagosian, non Nigerians and some people that were too young in between 99 to 2007 to witness BAT governance.

NB: Please this thread is for Tinubu’s achievement.
Let’s see if there will be any before anybody derail the thread.
Thank you.

Modified: I’m aware there’s already a thread discussing my comment from yesterday thread. Please leave the hate on that thread and comment here constructively.
Thank you. [/s]

Stop talking rubbish, you this afonja bigot! Tinubu laid a very bad foundation for Lagos. Considering the economy and GDP of Lagos, which is higher than many African countries including Ghana, what is on ground to justify it?!

Tinubu has placed his arthritis ridden leg on the neck of Lagosians since 1999, carting away the resources that should be used to develop the city in bullion vans!

Which mega project has Tinubu or his puppets delivered in Lagos since 1999? Any functional metro? Super highways? Trams? World class hospital? World class university or secondary schools? Non!! Even when Lagos mates like Johannesburg, Cairo, Nairobi, Adis Ababa etc already have all these!!

Ordinary basic things like roads, pipe borne water, refuse disposal, good drainage system etc have remained a mirage despite the good foundation Lagos has as a former capital.

Only private sector investments are thriving in Lagos and is even below par considering the potentials yet deluded people like you keep celebrating mediocrity.

Tinubu is a zero material for presidency!
