Politics / Why All The Noise About Arresting Nnamdi Kanu by biafratwo: 12:05pm On Sep 03, 2017
Lately there has been a lot of noise about arresting Nnamdi Kanu which has prompted me to ask these pertinent questions.
1) why make so much noise to create more tension in an already tensed region,
If u want to arrest him why not go straight to his house and arrest him without making noise.
2) I see no reason why FG should shy away from confronting this if not for fear of uncertainty
1st last month the IGP gave some reasons why they may not arrest him so as to reduce tension now why make all this noise now.
2nd concerning breaking the bail condition, first Kanu was first given a bail which FG violated and rearrested him)( was not released despite bail) and was charged for more crimes MY QUESTION IS if FG was that strong not to release him despite bail, so now what are they waiting for since they have done it before. Even up till now FG is still violating Bail condition on El zakazy and Dasuki so what are they FG waiting for
3rd also on the issue of breaking bail condition. If FG now wants to rearrest Nnamdi Kanu for breaking bail condition, it means they are telling the world that the Nigerian Executive government choose to obey judicial pronouncements that favors them. WHY are dey now claiming to follow court order on the issue of them arresting him for violating bail condition, How about the first bail they violated.
From my analysis FG is just trying to intimidate and threaten him with imminent arrest and I don't know why FG thinks threatening him will work this time. Which other intimidation do they want to employ that they haven't before. First arresting him, next killing Ipob members. if hasn't achieved anything.
FG should not think people are daft, if u arrest him for violating bail conditions, Who will your arrest for floating the first bail granted to him because no one is above the law, the executive arm of government have no right to violate judicial pronouncements. So that they would say he was arrested for violating bail condition meanwhile FG started it. Although I think Nnamdi Kanu should not haven even accepted those conditions, But how can you give him such kind of Bail condition against his inalienable human right, imagine ordering him not to be seen with more than 10 people. Why not keep him on house arrest. FG was really messed up big time.

As a matter of fact, if I am to become a pastor, all members will be mandated to participate in politics. It would be the first criteria for becoming a member of my church.
If Christians don't think the politicians are not getting it right, then they should get ready to set things right themselves.

I want to buy my very first car and as a novice I'd appreciate it if you can advice me on what to get considering the following criteria.
1. maintainability (affordable spare parts et al)
2. low fuel consumption
3. off road handling (very bad road where I live)

though i don't have any particular brand in mind, BENZ has always been my first love.

I earn about 300k+ monthly, and I'm just about to start a family.
Budget is 4.5 million.

Any help will be appreciated.

“I think there is something fundamentally wrong with their (IPOB) approach which is the fact that they have made it an Igbo problem.
“They bought into the propaganda that the enemy tried to sell and that propaganda is ‘the Igbo people are out to take over Nigeria and dominate the minorities that around them. They are evil people and they try to disunite us.’ For people (IPOB) to make it as an Igbo problem buys into that propaganda.
“Of course, minorities were extremely involved, died, suffered, and played major roles.”
Some people read without understanding.
Philip Jr was talking to the minorities.
How can something be fundamentally wrong with IPOB's approach yet they buy into the enemy's propaganda?
The propaganda that Igbo people are out to take over Nigeria? I mean how can IPOB (a group crying about the Igbo marginalization) now accept that they want to take over Nigeria?
Even if you don't understand the first part of the grammar how about the latter part where he said "They are evil people and they try to disunite us"?
Afon jars please read and try to understand.

Politics / Biafra: The Truth Of Igbo People And Properties Outside Biafraland by biafratwo: 3:16pm On Jun 22, 2017
THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD - Sam Uche Okoro

For the life of me, I don't understand why Nigerians use unnecessary reverse psychology.
Imagine this:
Igbos are dwelling down the East and need wharfs to do their import /export businesses.
You notice the development they brought to Port Harcourt, and you are desperately desirous of them developing your own areas.
You tell Port Harcourt people that Igbos are evil and no good, then, you contrive and close down the wharfs in the entire Nigerian delta peninsula, and open yours as the solitary wharf for hundreds of millions of peoples. So, in effect, you move in to partake in the headache of the Rivers man.
You get what you are waiting for, as Igbos troop in to trade in, and develop your areas.
Gas pipelines are being built for ease of powering industries, you deftly bypass Igboland and take the pipelines (ELPS) to the west, Igbo's troop into ogun state and Lagos to site their industries; in all these, your short term aim is achieved.
The backhand of God is that Igbos leave in their trail, an unprecedented land buy-up pattern that is second to none.
The illiterate Igbo man buy land, you get money to train your child abroad, or take chieftaincy, or marry more wives. Same in north, same in west.
This is the Israeli model across the western world. Now, you want to Pretend Nigeria is in another world.
Now, the poser; Igbo want to go and set up a good government in their homeland. You start to pretend as if we don't know what the laws and the world say about documented land ownership.
You want to pretend, and want me to believe, that Igbos are not in a vantage position. You want to tell me that the people that own majority (over 60%) choice lands in nigeria are not in a stiff lipped vantage position in this matter??
You must be kidding me. You must be running on a black and white analogue brain. So, you're testing the stupidity of Igbos, by using pro violence Fulanis to threaten them to pack and run and leave their documented lands in the year of our Lord 2017 You must be drinking kangaroo urine. This is exactly 47 years after you seized their properties in an unnecessary gang up war, yet, they own over 60% of all choice and valuable lands in Nigeria yet again Shame on you!! You are failures!! So, you mean that on perpetuity, every odd 47 years, you'll seize, and they'll re-buy and re-build again
You lost big time this time man. I tell you, I can't for civility sake, pretend that I don't know that you are dead worried As an exposed International Law lecturer, so, I should watch the local lawyer, Osinbajo misyarn by accepting that a people calling for homeland government are committing offence against the state??
That people will lose their landed assets because a Biafran flag is hoisted in the UN NYC HQ I should allow people to swallow such crap That Arewa can just say to Igbos, whom they work in their shops and plazas, and hotels, carry your mat and go
It ain't happening. If you want Igbos to have a home country, and probably reduce their investments in your place, you know what to do!!!
You own the majority in the Nigerian national assembly. Go there and vote for Igbo referendum, you own the seat of power, make Presidential pronouncement to the effect of Biafra.
Then, Igbos and their properties will be treated like expatriate and ECOWAS citizens properties. Biafra embassy will arise to discuss with you on your relationship with Igbo's. Most Igbos even automatically qualify for dual citizenship in various Nigerian regions.
It is my duty to correct such errors. Igbos will seek an orderly and peaceful separate homeland country, and still keep their properties in all parts of Nigeria, where their presence upped the value of hitherto valueless lands.
Nigerians stop living the lie, and pretending. Pretence doesn't translate to truth. If Nigeria can't handle the birthing of an independent homeland for Igbos peacefully, then, it is indicative of it being a failed state, and just as Nigeria has sent peacekeeping forces to several countries across the world, it will receive peacekeepers over this matter.
On Igbo properties, please, look elsewhere. Igbos will have a country and keep their properties wherever they bought and paid for them in Nigeria.
Just plain truth.

Religion / Re: Are Christians The Only People Who Will Go To Heaven? by biafratwo: 10:26am On Jun 04, 2017
People have been brainwashed into accepting just anything as right and true especially when it comes from someone with perceived authority such as the pastors and bishops.

The question of getting to heaven has been clearly defined in the Bible. So do not allow anybody deceive you with vain words.

Mark 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Did you hear that? It's the elect he is interested in and unfortunately, the elect is not measured and/or determined by religious affiliation.

The criteria is simple and enough to accommodate anybody from any tribe, race and under any religion.

That standard by which people may be judged by to ascertain if they belong to this elect class is namely that if they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised him from the dead.
Politics / Re: True Federalism, Its Advantages And Implications. by biafratwo: 9:51am On Jun 15, 2016
jagojunior:

Let's call a spade a spade and quit beating around the bush. What y'all are looking for is secession, it is as simple as ABC. Like I said, I'm a realist and it's better you shoot straight than going round a viscous cycle pretending about your true intention. If regionalism comes into play today, what will be the sanction on zones that violate remitting of the agreed percent to the centre? What will be the negotiating chip by the government at the centre? OR
Is it the same center that currently wields enormous power yet powerless to query the states to account for fund utilisation that will hold an empowered zone (through regionalism) accountable? Maybe You are thinking that respect and sanity will only return when power is stripped off an already weak (but wrongly tagged powerful) center that controls almost all resources in the country yet disrespected by every Tom, Dick and Harry living in Nigeria on a daily basis. Please, think again and this time from a different perspective.

Viewing through my lens:
Bottom line is this, any call for regionalism/resource control/true federalism etc right now is a call for secession and the truth is that GREED is the true reason behind that call. I don't want to be a prophet of doom but brotherly, the last time some over zealous soldiers changed the system of resource control in Nigeria (ie decree 34), a civil war broke out. Today, same group is the brain behind pushing for a reverse in the system to what was before decree 34. Trust me, another civil war will follow. If it wasn't greed to control all the resources in every region by those that brought this system upon us, why the promulgation of decree 34 that year? They thought they will live forever and have supreme access to everybody's resources. Karma is a fvcking Dam. The table turned and the music quickly changed. Nigerian history as a compulsory course should be introduced in primary and secondary schools to help us appreciate how far we have come and how we can navigate the dangerous bend we have found ourselves.

Please, disabuse your minds of the illusion that regionalism is the magic wand that will turn everything around for us as a nation.
I will echo it again, value reorientation (especially the leaders) is what we need now. We have come a very long way as a Nation, any attempt to actualize this wishful thought of regionalism/secession/resource control will only bring war. There are no losers or winners of a war, we all share from both sides of the divide maybe a little bit unevenly. Reality check should tell us that the country is too messed up and unripe for any of these right now. A word they said is enough.

However, que sera sera. Shalom!

#My1kobo

The topic is on federalism, it’s advantages and disadvantages plus we want to weigh the options so as to determine what’s best for the already failing country.
But you have just laid bare your fears and it’s ok for obvious reasons as you have somehow outlined in your post.
Fact still remains glaring. The incessant calls for secession and the public backlash against the government is because the current system has failed woefully.
Federalism and it’s many variants is an optimal solution for states comprising different cultural and/or ethnic communities and may just be the solution to the countries problem even though it is not without its demerits.
Viewing through your lense:
1. You should not be afraid federalism would bring about secession. Even if it does, what do you have to loose? Have you not had enough already?
2. GREED is still the bane of the current system. It is evident in party power tussles. So what? It is still certain death both ways.

Value reorientation alone is not enough and we both know that.
Bottom line: Federalism may just be the solution.

Everyone is shouting regionalism or true federalism citing laziness mentality in the current sytem as their reason. My question is this:is there any state that isn't dependent on oil presently? Are we saying that only the States blessed with crude oil currently have the right to be Lazy cos if regionalism comes into play today the proceeds from the sale of oil will go to only them (ie breeding worse spoilt lazy bones).
I'm a realist and the truth is: you can't just come on a hot day in a hot season when the entire country is experiencing so much hardship and start screaming regionalism/resource control. Even you own baby needs to be weaned over a period of time with the sole aim of pushing him/her to Independence. Remember this saying "The peace you make available to your neighbors is the peace you will enjoy", the mess we are currently in as a country needs to be cleaned to a reasonable extent and value reorientation needs to be established in the minds of many of us (especially our leaders) before any discussion about regionalism would yield the expected results.

Does having crude oil in a State translate to hard work by the people of that State? I seriously need to see the hard work in individuals from States blessed with crude oil who have been screaming regionalism like they are better than others.

I read here some days back that the FG is looking for major shareholders in the Brass LNG project in Bayelsa State. Instead of Bayelsa indigenes to look inward and motivate their billionaires to cease this opportunity, they will be playing dumb until outsiders partner with the FG then in a few years time, you will hear them screaming marginalisation listing names of outsiders that are benefiting from that project.

It's a real pity that we really don't know what our problems are in this great country. Bring regionalism today and see how the whack wicked greedy leaders usurp all the power and continue this vicious cycle over again. Even lazy bones are now calling others lazy like the crude oil in their region was brought there through their hard work.

Let's fvcking grow up already, gosh!!
Nobody want's to look inward cos the state is dependent on the federal for allocation. Since the head/system isn't working, the whole body can't function properly.
The merits of a federal system outweighs the ills.
