A man was shot dead mistakenly by a retired army
man during a funeral service in IDU URUAN
LGA,AKWAIBOM state NIGERIA
This happened around 12:25pm on Saturday 6th Dec
2014 at IDu uruan L.G.A where my NYSC primary
Assignment is. A lodge mate invited to her relative
burial of a retired army man known as Late Augustine
Etim who is from IDU URUAN. The burial was
conducted by BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND
STAR(OLUMBA) of IDU Uruan Lga, Akwaibom. A time
came when the priest asked the family member n
villagers to go n see the corpse that's lying in state.
After, they came the retired army men marched to
see their late colleague and TO give him last respect.
While marching out one of them shot out a bullet up
but didn't go off and pistol shook the old man in the
process of trying to check what's wrong the bullet
went off and hit three old men( one died n the other
two had bullets entered their bodies but not that
serious. The two were taken to hospital but the other
person died at the spot because the bullet cut his
throat deeply. Next thing the retired army men
started running to their various homes to hide. And
meanwhile the man TO be bury hasn't been buried
but the Olumbas rushed and buried him before
problem will come up. The man shot dead was taken
TO mortuary by keke man n one of the retired army,
because those with cars flew with theirs. May his
soul rest in peace
