veecovee: I think it's a wise decision and that's if not a trader as the current major owners of the company are trusted (no cooking of results/good corporate governance/protects shareholders interest/done it before) and there's real optimism they will deliver again but like one of the team player here always say - Mr Time will tell. Please plan your trade and trade your plan! Shalom! |

Investors in the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, lost N506 billion of their investment this week following price loss in 60 companies https://trwstockbrokers./2018/03/16/investors-lose-n506-billion-as-prices-of-60-equities-nosedive/ - Kai, the week was really bloody o! hmmm! - Well, no matter the size of your hair cut just take a deep breadth and calm down/restratigize |

In the other news: Economy: Crude is back over $61/barrel following the firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Some assume that will clear the way for President Trump to make good on his promise to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which is theoretically bullish for oil, as sanctions would be reinstituted against the Islamic Republic. Saudi Arabia and others still have enough spare capacity to make up for any deficit. Crypto - warning: Following a similar hard-line approach taken by Facebook, Google will ban crypto-related advertising starting in June, including ICOs, wallets, and trading advice across any of its platforms. "We don't have a crystal ball to know where the future is going to go with cryptocurrencies, but we've seen enough consumer harm or potential for consumer harm," said Scott Spencer, Google's director of sustainable ads. Can this affect the NSE? Shares in Asia buckled under pressure overnight despite positive economic data out of China. Industrial output grew 7.2% in January-February, while fixed-asset investment expanded 7.9% and retail sales rose 9.7%. Equities seemed to be nervous over impending U.S. tariffs, which may now target up to $60B worth of goods, as well as punitive measures against intellectual property theft. - culled from SA Meanwhile the DOW is bleeding! So we watch/act carefully for most things that goes up will always come down and may be vice versa. #Just-thinking-loud: - Always do DD/invest only on fundamentally sound/dividend paying companies/give time after planting - Avoid too much greed and take some profit off the table when price goes up |

Agbalowomeri: That's not good just like yesterday's shut up and all to one person by different people! Does it tell all something? For newbies, Investing can be frustrating at times that's why it's advised: - Do not put all your eggs in one basket - Cut your coat not according to your size but your cloth. #PEACE #ONELOVE |

@Chibuking, - As someone suggested please report this case to the police immediately if not already done....of-course the bastards holding your kid may try to contact you. - Keep informing neighbors, the village head, pastors, social media, friends and well wishers Note: According to some reports most kidnapping in Nigeria are perpetrated mostly by disgruntled family members/close friends/!! - So your son must be interviewed carefully (he may be traumatized) and encouraged to think deeply/truthfully because with your knowledge sure everyone in this forum is aware of the times and should be passing on to their kids/loved ones the wickedness of these times we live in. Now imagine how @Chibuking's son dropped off by mum at the school gate, an unknown person call's him to go buy whatever for him will leave his little sister to go for such an errand for this unknown person.....friends we must teach these innocent kids whom to trust in these terrible times. Questions: - As per age why do you guys drop your kids at the school gate? Is this a one off issue, because of hold up or is this the normal practice - Do you have serious issues with any of your friends, neighbors or family members/inlaws - especially the greedy and jealous ones? - How do you blend in your current environment? - Perform a complete risk assessment (normally done to prevent re-occurrence) of your current location even if it's your village, think and know if now is the time to find peace somewhere else. - Please this should be taken as learning points for us all as we continue to pray for @Chibuking and his family. The good Lord who created the heavens and the earth will perform His miracle as always, IJN. 2 Likes |

leo1234: Depending on size of investment funds, dividing it in different percentages for - Stocks/FD/Cash/Crypto (some are seriously risk averse so this may be a no-no) call it whatever may be a good idea. Some were taught not to put all their eggs in one basket...not matter how few. |

Nigeria's Total Imports in 2017 Drop 8.5% as Exports Rise 59.47% https://www.businesspost.ng/2018/03/04/nigerias-total-imports-2017-drop-8-5-exports-rise-59-47/[/quote] Good news as per Q4, 2017, if this can continue, it will be good. Continuity is how developed economies grew to what they are today making workers, investors and the general population happy. However, corruption/one step forward and two steps backward is a recipe for disaster. #hope 2 Likes |

onegentleguy: Really sorry to say but that's what you get when guys who failed WAEC and those who scored 20% in JAMB to gain admission to the university where they probably got a let-my-people-go are now Judges, government economists, managers, directors etc while those that scored 80% and made first class are either in private sectors or reduced to court clerks/redundant positions in government. You can never give what you don't have! Nigeria is a systemic basket case with a rotten foundation that needs to be torn down and rebuilt else every patch-patch will lead to the same BS! #which-way-nigeria 2 Likes |
