Not UACN but Cash craft stockbrokers, cash craft is one of the major shareholders of livestock feeds.
Yes Stanbic bought out Cashcraft....I hope they (Stanbic) do well like they did in PRESCO during the time of their former chairman - Peterside right?

A TOTAL OF 100,000,000 UNITS OF LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC WERE DONE AS AN OFF-MARKET TRADE TODAY AT N1.00 IN ONE DEAL. THE DEAL WAS A NEGOTIATED CROSS DEAL BETWEEN STANBIC IBTC STOCK BROKERS LTD (BUYER) AND CSL STOCKBROKERS LTD (SELLER).
Looks like something is cooking here as Stanbic IBTC has been on a buying spree of LIVESTOCK. This is the second big volume buy I have read about in a few weeks. Just observing.....patience!

Very undervalued, my brother. The dividends may not be important, we need all the funds to increase our reserve, expand our market share and harness the emerging opportunities in the food industry.

C&I is a stock with good prospect (has always been). My major concern is their incosistency over time. The profit in q2 can disaapear in the next quaters. It is instructive to note that the profit declared in last year audited account was from other income, foreing exchange gains which is not sustainable.
They appear to be getting better going by the improvement in turnover, shareholder's fund, and retained earnings. Only time will tell if they are really out of the wood, though it might be too late then to take position

NB; I have some tasere units here that i bought last week friday at N1
The other good thing going for them is their consistency in dividend payment even though small. Half bread is better than.....please trade your plan. @Bullbearmkt where art thou?

You have never lost man. You will not only recover your money,, just as I've recovered my over 300k from afriprud, you should wait patiently till you make the desired profit, especially when you have invested in a stock like First Bank. We all know this fundamental principles of stock trading, but here, we're always expressing unnecessary fear. Even the so called gurus in the house are not helping matters. I also have over 300k of First Bank, which I bought at #10, but frankly speaking, I've no reason to fear as I would make my profit over time. Stock trading ain't gambling brother!

The main reason you don't have to borrow or take loans from a bank (except you have other means of repayment if things go wrong) to invest in the stock market else your debt will be piling up! Always cut your coat according to your cloth not your size!

It is almost certain insider trader plenty NSE. When FO started losing momemtum today I suspected their result would be bad... NSE is not a level playing field ... all the same money must be made
If you trade on the NYSE sometimes you will feel the same way....however confidence level is high because of deterrent as in if any culprit is caught he will surely pay the price! As for Naija and the NSE good corporate governance will ensure commensurate consequences for any wrong doing........

...not sure I understand you anymore. What you said before which I objected to is that, "No good investor will tell you stock he is about to buy". Saying that I am not ready to buy Dangote Sugar which I posted before market opens is not clear again.

In any case, generalising statement is a fallacy no matter the environment and thanks for the correction.

Calling me unwise for helping others will be happily accepted and I will keep that "unwise" thing till I'm able to help many people discover their potentials and start making money in the financial market.

BullBearMkt:
WHAT IS THE MARKET DIRECTION IN JULY?
Historically, the month of July is more bearish than bullish. As indicated in the table below, between 2002 and 2016, 63% of the time, July is more bearish than 47% it is bullish. Breaking this further down; the years we witnessed explosive bullishness on NSE (between 2002 -2007), July was more bullish as 67% of the times, July ended in price appreciation in the market. On the other hand, between 2008 - 2016, which are the worst years on NSE, the market price appreciated as little as 33% of the time.

Considering above statistics, where will be market direction go this month?

Let start by looking at recent activities this year. From mid April, NSE ASI has since created new 52 week high with many stocks creating new highs every single day as investors' sentiments keep increasing. On top of this, Nigeria economy is said to be coming out of recession as the country's GDP has been consistently growing. All these are pointing to the fact that we are in a bullish year.

Analysing recent market activities, last week Friday's market close was bearish, but that is what I call, "a good bear". Using 5 mins chart, bears initially drove market price down to 32,766 before the bulls came in forcefully and took the price up to 33,117 in order to ensure that NSE price depreciation is kept "low" at -0.46%. Adding market close with previous 3 day candlestick gives a Doji pattern. Meaning for 4 consecutive days market cannot decide which direction to take the price to.

Technically, from the close of Friday, price can go either up or down. So, future trading days are critical to determine market direction in July. If price can close above the highs created in the last 4 days (on high volume), more bulls will be introduced into the market, however, if bears can attack the market ferociously and dominate, a close below the low of the last 4 days will further drive the price down!

REASONS FOR PRICE GOING UP IN JULY
-We are in a bull market
-Growing investors' sentiments
-Growth in GDP and Manufacturing index
-NSE 30 most capitalised stocks Q2 reports to be more positive and market perception of such reports
-Oil price Rising cum Falling in value of Dollars globally: Major determinants will be this week's FOMC meeting and US Nonfarm Payroll reports

REASONS FOR PRICE GOING DOWN IN JULY
-Historically, July favours bears more than bulls
-Many banks exposure to NPL
-Unforeseen unrest locally & govt handling

WHERE DOES BULLBEARMKT STANDS?
Let me state before hand that market does not respect individual opinion or analysis, what we are just doing is to provide educative prediction based on experiences.
If the price can close above previous 4 days high as explained before, I am of the opinion that with the high market sentiments and growth in economic data, July is more likely to end in price appreciation. My trading plan is to pick stock(s) of interest and look for long-term support level to place my entry with a pre-determined stop loss, which I can easily control and allow market to determine my profits (if any).

Welcome you all to the month of July (the month of "7"wink)... what does 7 means to you?

Well I can't say why but I can tell you for SURE that Etisalat posted losses for the last 3 or 4 consecutive years. It's privately owned so these figures are not in the public domain. The troubling thing however is that the losses were increasing considerably y-o-y. If the losses were coming down, it would have made a lil more sense to me cos there's a period required to break even after a business starts...Anyway that's it
Who was the CEO and who are the major investors? Find the answers and you will know why there were loses! #SAD

This is excatly my anger with most of this CEO'S, investors go through hell with them and when light starts to show up they start unbundling the company gradually for their selfish benefits. Leaving the empty can to small investors.

Look at what WALE is doing @Oando after raising so much from investors he keeps diluting their shares and divesting major revenue generating businesses. Why on earth would Oando divest its downstream assets to Helios

The least I expected them to do was sell to existing shareholders at the same price Helios was willing to pay, and list it as a separate entity on the stock exchange. You can't quantify what Oando share holders has gone through in the last 5 years.

If Tony is towing the same line, time will tell.
Yes really annoying...sorry to say but this makes it sometimes frustrating to invest in companies with our people as CEO's as instead of making money for shareholders they make people lose their hard earned money and really don't care about it! Check Japaul, RT Briscoe, UTC, etc promising companies but been milked dry.

Mytradebook of Greenwich Trust Limited (gtlgroup) is a very good and reliable online trading portal. Minimum trading amount to start with is 10k and they have a live data exactly like that of Meritrade. They recently upgraded their portal and included some features like direct funding (using mastercard, verve etc.) and withdrawal from the portal as well as other features which makes the site easily accessible and user friendly

Someone asked question regarding mytradebook as well but I cant locate the post. I hope this answer your question partly. Also, you can just engage their customer rep online on live chat and they'll respond to all your enquiries, or still, send a mail to them.

I noticed that I've not seen much of their mention in this thread but I can tell you they've always been good and has really upgraded based on my experience with them. (**Pls note: this is purely based on my experience with them).

Morgan Capital too is very good only that they have customer relations issues. I hope they work on it soonest.
Please could you share their working - Email address and phone numbers.

When applying for e-dividend at First Registrars in their Ibadan office, I also applied for online access to monitor my shares with them. After I gained access, I saw that for the times that I sold off all my holdings in First Bank and when I again bought, the same shareholder account number was maintained. (That means when I had 0 units and when I later bought, my account number did not change).

I will like to know if this holds for all Registrars?! In which case, one can sell off one's entire holdings and when you buy again, you don't have to apply newly for e-dividend.

Presently, I have the strategy of retaining 100 units of a company's shares when I have to sell. The stress I went through for e-dividend application is scary when you consider how many Registrars one might have to deal with.

Inputs please?!
I've really not taken note of this but I wish all registrars are like First Registrars - men those guys are good/very responsive!
