Wahala everywhere...will it get to NSE? This is why sometimes long term outlook and MMF help some SWAN! Another take on bitcoin - from seeking alpha: Amid fears of running up huge losses, Lloyds is barring its credit card customers from buying bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It follows similar moves by U.S. rivals JPMorgan, Bank of America and Citigroup, which all announced similar bans on crypto purchases via credit cards on Friday. Worries over a global regulatory clampdown led bitcoin - which is still trading below $8,000 - last week to record its biggest weekly loss since December 2013. |
@ Currentprice, Bros please what's your "bedsheet/system" fair price for UACN? Also what's your take on the stock - sell, buy or hold? Cheers |
DaV8King:He who must come to equity.....the clean hands in Naija is growing less and less by the day! Everyone is becoming birds of the same feather. If a judge takes bribe from an accused and sees the same person in his court the next day accused of giving bribe what to do? When will all these stop? Your guess is as good as mine!! |
RabbiDoracle:No be small thing o! Blood on the street!! |
rebekah2011:When there's no rule of law, you will see the bad side of people - no matter where they come from! The only deterrent to fraud and stealing of shareholders funds is when you have a truly independent press and an empowered institution that does their job without fear and interference from government. Do we have such institutions in Nigeria? Crooks will always setup office where they know they can get away with whatever they do and most Nigerian corporate managers are aggressively greedy/selfish they don't care about retail investors/shareholders. We are just fishing with greedy sharks hence must always be watchful! |
emmanuelewumi:Not surprised that Stanbic is there - I hope they are able to shake things up - UACN/LIVESTOCK! |
THE Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, President, Mr. Amaju Pinnick, recently showed what it means to be one’s brother’s keeper. Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/02/kudos-rehabilitation-efforts-wilson-oruma/ Please be careful on what and whom you invest with....Africa especially Naija lacks almost everything a modern society need to prosper especially rule of law. #verypathetic |
All what some companies in Nigeria need is good corporate governance and dedicated team to perform very well. When a good management team joins the board all the fraudulent people begins to shake and do the right things hence the company will start doing well. The guilty are always afraid of losing their jobs hence they will work times two to ensure they are not fired when a good manager shows up. Bad management kills a good company...study what Oando, Japaul, Daarcomm etc does and you will see these companies are supposed to very well if not for bad management/board. #Justpassing |
Theonlycoolmonk:When it's time, take some profit especially if you need the funds for something good. It helps to avoid any regrets while whatever is left will continue the game - up or down. Mostly good for dividend stocks/watchful long term investor - as you get paid your dividend while you wait on more capital appreciation. Do your DD please! |
Too bad working with Brokers that don't allow online trading...you ask them to sell it takes long time!!! Anyways now we know better, thanks to Brokers with online platform. It's good bye Janet (Rabbi I hail o) to analog brokers - gradually exiting ans off we go - forget all these past mistakes. |
LIVESTOCK gradually inching.....don't joke with Stanbic IBTC those guys see far they bought @ 1naira. Apply your DD please! |
Dreamflyin:Please keep doing what you are doing. You can also do MMF - low returns/No loss - call it getting rich slowly, also funds in MMF should just be left alone to compound. Keep following this forum you will learn a lot before venturing into stocks. Good luck! |

bestidafa:Already recovered my losses this year from WEMA...averaged down big time last year...waiting quietly to turn paper profit to real cash and move on never to look back for a long time. Does the market forgive some times? Na wa. |
currentprice:Watching and praying! One of the best investments I made long time ago, this @17 then + FBNH/UBA. #Edited ![]() |
fxuser:Good man, please keep it up at least to make this forum not derail...becoming confusing lately. People invest wisely! One love |
If not sure just follow the trend and jump out when others do...a small gain is better than a small loss! |
As the OcToPuS will say especially for newbies, please no matter what you read or the Bull you see/hear where ever only invest the amount of money you can afford to loose in the NSE....for it's sweet but can also be really bitter. Buy only good stocks with good dividend paying history - especially now. Some who are traders invest all they have to make the kill while others who are investors buy in very small batches. |
Investnow2017:Please add: Dunlop, RT Briscoe, Japaul, LASACO....all nice names...what about UTC is it still on the NSE? Makes me thank Warren Buffet...Like the Lord the market.... ![]() |
RabbiDoracle:My brother I also like reading your name sake...here's another from the wise one - the Oracle of Omaha for us to always reflect on. “Like the Lord, the market helps those who help themselves. But, unlike the Lord, the market does not forgive those who know not what they do. |
Patience and Time as @ onegentleguy always preach here works! Got a good price on Access today been waiting since. Now we move to the second stage (Dividend investor/watch closely) of Mr Patience and Time ![]() |
