Green222: Please Candid advise needed.
On the 8th Dec. 2017, I was gisting with my Best friend (we have been friends now for 17years) about a guy I dated for 7years. We parted ways because he was a chronic womanizer and was not ready to change. I have caught him on several occasions with other women in action; I have cried myself to sleep because of his actions and in-actions. His actions affected my grades while in school. my relationship with him was well known by his family and mine. The relationship almost caused me my life during an abortion I did for him; he never abandoned me, he was with me thru the ordeal. He is a loving fellow that can do anything for me and defend me anywhere. He can go Xtra miles to please me but that does not stop him from cheating on me. The emotional trauma was becoming too heavy for me to bear, I quite the relationship.
Back to my friend. On this particular day, we decided to search the guy on Facebook, we saw him and my friend sent a friend request. He accepted the request the same day and they started chatting. He requested for her mobile number which she gave to him and they started talking on the phone. The guy requested to meet with her during Xmas as we are all from the same locality. She agreed to the request even though she knew she will be traveling home. I was still in the picture of their discussion at this stage.
On the 22nd, my friend travel to spend the Xmas with her brother's family in the West while I traveled to our Hometown in the North Central. We constantly speak on the phone and she never mentioned her communications with my Ex again. Only for her to call me yesterday that she has changed her travel plans. She has traveled back home on the request of my Ex to meet him in our hometown; they have met and he has introduced her to his family and she has done same and both families accepted them. Their wedding has been fixed for March 2018. She said she has asked my EX to call me
She called this morning to asked if my Ex had called to inform me of his intentions to marry her. I said NO. She said my Ex said he does not have the courage to talk to me.
I feel betrayed by my friend's actions. I have a lot of friends that know my Ex and I and also know me and my Girl friend.
Please I need Candid advise on her to handle this issue Let them get married.... They're getting married in less than four month? I think the guy is under family pressure and you friend fall his prey... Just support their marriage and move on |

'Who are you and what are you doing here?' a short man with big eye glasses, who appeared to be the leader (pastor) of the people asked him. Setufe remained silent as he neither understood the language, nor know how to respond. The man kept asking different questions, and only what Setufe did was nod his head signifying he didn't understand them. He kept on staring at the people, taking a mental note of their number. He realized if he didn't communicate with them fast, they could tag him a burglar and descend on him. From what he had seen in Ghana, he would be lucky to leave that place with few slaps and punches, as lynching could be the main act, just as most African societies, where jungle justice was the popular act i.e. Kill first, ask questions later. Setufe thought fast and decided to get their sympathy. He stood up and started crying, blowing his nose at intervals, and wiping his tears with the back of his palms. He was however surprised, when he realised his plan wasn't working. The people were unmoved by his actions and he didn't know what to do. He finally decided to talk, however, as he could not speak in English properly, he decided to introduce himself in French, hoping he would be lucky to have someone who understood French in their midst.
'Je m'appelle Setufe, Je suis Ghanaian'
On hearing that, the church members withdrew a little. Although, little Setufe looked hagard and unkempt, they still didn't believe his story, they thought he was a spy. Few months before then, a female beggar had come into the church for shelter and they had accommodated her. That proved to be a fatal error for them, as she killed their head pastor. The female beggar was a member of the dreaded Boko Haram group. Her plan was to kill the whole congregation, but somehow, only the head pastor died. So since then, the church members had been more careful about strangers. The senior pastor on studying the look on the faces of other members, took a church bell and charged towards Setufe. The poor boy dodged him and ran out of the church premises, with the church members running after him. After a while, they stopped chasing him and headed back. On getting out of sight, Setufe vowed never to set his feet in such a place again. He had hoped that he would have at least, gotten shelter in the church, instead, he almost lost his life there. He resumed his roaming about till he got to a place where some tough looking guys were seated and having a discussion. Setufe was scared, but somehow, the leader of the guys took pity on him and decided to help him. He saw a young and helpless boy in Setufe, and decided to make him smile again. That was how a group of cultists accommodated Setufe, took care of him and sent him to school. Setufe knew they all lived by the day, yet, he faced his academics squarely, and excelled.
They later named him Sete, as that was easier and faster to call, than Setufe While We're was narrating his ordeal to Ashi, Ashi couldn't help but shed one or two tears for him. Life was indeed cruel. He however, marvelled at how Sete's cult-family took care of him. Sete had the best clothes, nice shoes, and one wouldn't know he was a hustler. Sete didn't believe in God or His doctrines. He did think about it too; a God who 'took' his parents and watch him suffer in the hands of his aunts? A God whose children rejected him and almost killed him when he did nothing wrong, and only needed help? Sete felt he was better off without the god. Ashi told him about his ordeals at his former school, and his quest for vengeance. Ashi indirectly asked to join cultism! Sete told him he belonged to the Blue Serpents, and he was ready to help him become one. Ashi knew the Blue Serpents, they were Blade's worst enemy and in fact, they took his life while he was trying to rescue his friends from them. He would never join them, Never! However, he understood Sete, and would not blame him. A man's food is another's poison. Ashi thought about it deeply again before he declined Sete's offer. He was not interested in becoming a Blue Serpent, he wanted something distinct, something purposeful. 'Well, I get boys wey be Vipers, you like that one?' Sete asked. 'Viper me? Baba no o, I nor want', Ashi replied. Ashi knew the Vipers were always blood seeking, thus, he wasn't interested. 'Wetin you con want gangan, boyscout?' Sete questioned, irritatingly. 'Baba, I bin want a parole wey go dey on code, wey no go dey involve bloodshed at all...' Ashi replied, gesturing with his hands, making Sete give out a mocking laughter. 'For this life abi another one? See Ashi, na boyscout abi Man 'O' War you fit join wey go pay you', Sete replied mockingly. Ashi accepted his fate of not being able to get the fraternity which suited his mission and decided not to join those Sete listed. While he turned around dejectedly, trying to open the door of the room, he had a voice. 'Ashi wait', Sete said. 'I think I know what you want, but I'm scared. Promise me you would never sell me out', Sete said fearfully. Ashi turned back to see a visibly shaken Sete. He was surprised. How can Sete be this disturbed? What was he hiding? 'I promise NEVER to sell you out Sete, I've taken you as my brother, and that you would continue to be. You should promise never to sell me out too', Ashi said. 'Well, I promise', Sete replied. 'There's this parole in campus, we don't know them by face, we only feel their hits whenever it happens. We've never seen them fight, and some people think they are just club boys, however, men like us know they aren't. What we know is, they attend their classes regularly, have the best girls in campus, have the best rides, throw the best parties, and also, have the best result. I learnt to be a member, you must be handsome, brilliant and intelligent, three qualities you possess already. The problem is, we fear them, as we don't know how many they are, and how they operate. We only know 'THE FINE BOYS' like we call them exist', Sete concluded still looking scared. 'How do I join them?' Ashi asked looking straight into Sete's eyes. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Reality would dawn on you soon!! Merry Christmas from me to you...
After just a week, Ashi had adapted to his new environment. Although he had not finished his registrations, he had however started attending lectures and it was during one of the lectures that Ashi met Sete, a skinny and soft-spoken guy, at his department. Sete had a funny moutsache which made him look like a cartoon. Sete didn't look a bit like a jambite. Like many students, Ashi and Sete formed cliques at the back of the class and were stylishly disturbing the lectures. The two bonded quite well. On checking his timetable for the next day, Ashi realised he would not make it early as where he was staying at that moment was far to the school environment. Thus, he asked Sete if he could accommodate him for the night. Sete readily agreed to accommodate Ashi, and even promised to help him sort his accommodation issues with the porters, as Ashi was also posted to Sete's hall. Sete loved the aura around Ashi; he looked confident and sound. That night, while having dinner, Ashi noticed some things about Sete. Sete's real name was Setufe, and he was a Ghanaian. He was an orphan, who lost his parents at the age of Seven. Afterwards, he ran away from home when his aunts who took turns to look after him labelled him a serial killer and a witch. The agony was too much for him to bear, so he ran away from home. He escaped to Nigeria as a stowaway, who hid in the aeroplane tyre compartment. It was a miracle that he survived that act. When he got to the Mauritala Mohammed Airport, it dawned on him that he was lost. He had nowhere to go, sleep, and nothing to eat. He could barely speak in English, as he was used to Akan language, his mother tongue. Setufe roamed about the street of Lagos that day, and when it was night without making headway, he entered a church to relax. He didn't know when he slept off. He was still sleeping peacefully on one of the benches when he felt a thunderous spank on his left buttock. His legs went limp immediately. At first, because it was dark, he couldn't see clearly who had spanked him, all he heard were voices. He even thought they were angels in coloured clothes shouting hallelujah. Another slap on his face cleared his blurry vision and he saw properly. He then realized they were no angels, but mortal men and women who obviously had come for a church program.

CHAPTER TWO
When Asiwaju received the letter of his suspension from the university that Thursday morning, he realised the first thing to do was to run away from his parents. He knew they would be highly disappointed in him, after investing huge sums of money in him, by sending him to an expensive private university, despite their average income. He felt like a failure at that moment. He had been played by Snake and he fell for it. He had challenged Snake to a fight at the back of the school's multi-purpose hall, a ploy he decided to lure Snake to Don and his guys. Asiwaju didn't realize it was all Snake's plan, a plan to get rid of him in the university. Snake realized fast enough that if he didn't act fast, he would lose his power and respect in that school, thus, he made pacts with some guys from town to convince Asiwaju to Bleep him up. Don was one of Snake's boys, and the boys who beat Asiwaju up were from the town. Asiwaju let his revenge mission overshadow his sense of reasoning and fell into Snake's trap. Immediately Snake got into the bush behind the hall, he was attacked by Don, and Don made Snake lay on the floor, and have Ashi a cutlass to cut Snake's limbs. Ashi protested, as that wasn't their initial arrangement. However, the feeling of the supposed victory made him agree to do it. While he still had the cutlass in his hands, the school's security members (which one of Snake's boys informed) swooped on them and arrested them all. Snake started crying and acting like Asiwaju wanted to severe his head from his body. Pictures of the scene were taken and they were all taken to the University's security office. Statements were collected from all the boys, and they were all detained. The following day, they were released after some documentation. The University's disciplinary committee later took up the matter, and after few weeks, suspended Asiwaju. The initial plan was to expel him, but several members of the university pleaded with other members for leniency, so he was suspended instead, albeit indefinitely. Snake and his boys were pardoned, and Asiwaju knew indeed, Snake had long legs. His revenge spirit got heightened at that moment. Asiwaju was asked to evacuate the school's premises immediately, with further decisions to be communicated to him later.
Having heard what happened, Adamma had dumped Snake. She realised Snake was using her and was treating her like a slut. She missed Asiwaju and wanted to go back to him. She missed his silly attitudes, his innocent look and his handsomeness. She knew she had bleeped up. The problem however was, Asiwaju had turned her into his enemy. In fact, he had plans to revenge on her someday. Ashi saw her as a cheap girl who would do anything to have power and popularity. Well, she got both from Snake. Adamma suffered seriously in the hands of Snake. What she thought was fun, turned into pain for her. Snake would Bleep her everywhere and anywhere he wanted. At first, she enjoyed the escapades, until Snake bleeped her in the presence of her friends, who somehow recorded the act and spread the gist. The Most Beautiful Fresher was indeed a hoe. Snake didn't stop at that however, he collected money from her at intervals and literally made her his slave. She would cook for him, cleaned his room, wash his clothes, and give him sex. On few occasions, Snake had told her to bleep three of his boys together. She felt like dying. She could not have friends anymore, as everyone knew she was Snake's plaything. In fact, Adamma once contemplated suicide, but on a second thought, she decided to be strong and make amends. She would stay strong and fight Snake, somehow, anyhow. She wanted an escape route from her misery, and Ashi was her brightest hope.
While dragging his travel bag outside the university gate on a lonely path, and contemplating where to go from there, Asiwaju's received a call from his father. His father was happy as he broke the news of Asiwaju being admitted into the Federal University of Lagos. His father asked him if he would accept the offer or continue with his education at the private university. Ashi immediately told his father he would be more than happy to change school, and infact, he would be home as soon as possible to start his education all over again. His father was happy and grateful to him, Asiwaju had just agreed to attend a cheaper and better university. What a good son he had, he thought. Having spent two days in a cheap hotel, reminiscing his activities, he finally went home to start his life all over again. He was grateful for his second chance, however, he knew he still had an unfinished business with Snake and his boys, and maybe, Adamma too.
He resumed the Federal University the following week and his first day at the school was hectic. It was nothing compared to his former school, however, he loved the school and felt at peace with himself. Nobody knew him there, and he would be a good boy throughout. What Asiwaju didn't realize right there, was that it was the birth of 'Showers of Mercy'. A figure who would be several people's nightmare. |
