The JF-17 doesn't really bring any new capability with don't currently posses, I also agree that they would be used mainly for interdiction.

The Tucanos, MI-35M and Drones are the real game changers.
Really..
We don't have fixed wing all day & weather capability and aircraft's that cab deliver PGM, and that's a big difference.

You will be amazed at how professional these terrorists are when it comes to improvising. That is what they are using to sustain their operations. Those in the middle east are manufacturing their own guns, drones, missiles etc. Giving them any type of ammunition whether defective or expired is tantamount to giving them resources. They will find their ways around it.

They use street light poles to make their IEDs.
Hmmmmmm we should under estimate them at all grin

JF-17 is just status update, nothing more, there is no new capability they will bring to this war that we don't already have. Except maybe the targeting pods. They will be largely used for interdiction operations which the Alpha jets, F7-NI and the trainers are already performing. What's worse, the small number we brought means at least one will be on standby at all times, one may be under going maintenance while 1-2 will be deployed for operations most times. The drones and the tucanos are a different topic entirely. They will boost the war efforts.
I bet to differ with you on these ?
The targeting Pods it self will bring more devastating effect, plus the all day & weather capabilities. The drones and Super Tucanos means no hiding place for BHT.
All of these incoming assets if properly utilized with check BHT text move.

I am now convinced that the "tactical withdrawal" of the Nigerian military is actually a valid and reasonable strategy.
It happened in marte, several terrorists ended up dead.
The terrorists attacked Askira Uba few days ago, they faced little resistance as they advanced into the town, they even went as far as looting an armoury and burning a church, out of 40-50 of them that attacked the town, more than 30 of their corpses were discovered.

The army now simply withdraws whenever there is an attack luring the terrorists into a kill-zone, wait for air support to arrive and when the terrorists start running in disarray, the army counterattacks maximizing the casualties on the part of the terrorists with little to no casualties on the part of the army.
The problem with this tactic is that a lot of equipment are lost, either the terrorists becomes successful in carting them away or the airforce destroys them. The army should find a way to empty the armoury while withdrawing.

Check this thread for more info on the attack.
https://twitter.com/CalibreObscura/status/1360311415328952320?s=19[/quote]Nice one @whyem15, in my own opinion the tactics his working for them well. The only problem I have his loosing scarce military hardware, we need to work hard and improve on this tactics.
Anyways the jf17 and drone would go along way in assisting them.

I wonder what sort of munition was used to destroy this ISWAP FV-103; what a devastating hit from a NAF 9M-120 ATAKA or Alpha Jet mk.81 bomb?
I know NAF strikes have grown incredibly accurate at delivering unguided drop bombs but hit still baffles me huh
