see who dey call person shameless, Mr Jonathan regime has come and gone so stop blaming them,we are speaking of the present, so after visiting kia defense industrial complex this is the best they can come up with. going about displaying mad max inspired trucks is not an achievement.

that someone don't buy into ur craps don't make them shameless.
That thing you call mad max junky his saving lives, have seen it !
Dude what you don’t know his you have to start from somewhere, Proforce his a good example until they got to the ARA II. The NA his on that part also you can see how that mad max junkie his gradually evolving!
Your so called Jonathan got money that can buy us hundreds of T90s and BMP/BTR and MRAP but they ended up buying up T72 that are almost grounded likewise the REVA MRAPs. The Chinese big foot MRAP was a good one tho !

I know you’re one of the pained ones: modernizing an army takes years ask countries like Egypt and Algeria ... etc

You'd see how some jaundiced monikers will never see this (like you've always been saying), and later call you names and tag you a lover of the administration
If we can spend almost over 1-trillion dollars on the airforce, then the army which is the main arm facing terrorist on the battlefield deserves the same.
I know Mr president and M.O.D top directives are making some procurement lately, we all agree it’s encouraging. The truth remains we can do better than these! If every elected politicians are using bullet proof cars then our frontline troops deserves better !

Thought there is a rumor of bmp purchase from Russia.
Yeap.
We need the mixture of the MRAPs and the BMP !
The MRAPs accommodates enough troops to move your soldiers from point A to B, while the BMP is a little bit cramps and tight but can deliver heavy fire power.

Some of these ambushes troops encounter can be easily avoided or neutralised when their is a deliberate attempt to get Intel's either on a 24/7 basis or atleast before any form advance is made and this is why I stubbornly canvass for a form of aerial surveillance one can't over flog this issue. For now, the cheapest option for the army will be to go for light drones even if they ain't armed the aerial surveillance will be too useful to neglect. eg Let's say before a unit travels to another location surveillance ought to be carried on that route before they embark on such journey. The US border patrols use hand held drones to properly track movement within the borders why can't we try it. Every unit ought to have one with them when going on patrol to enable them have better understanding of their path/environs.
There is a guy in Abuja that makes light drones had the capability of being airborne for 4hrs and it radio Comms have a range of 100km, his drone can take very clear pictures from 3000ft. He was interviewed one time on nta, where he took the reporter round his workshop the guy was once a Maths Olympiad he studied in the UK and worked for sometime at Google. I feel his drones can be of great use in the interim pending when we get better. I don't think it will cost more than N500k to get one.

Why is no one giving such ideas a chance atleast let us try it and fail so that we know we atleast gave it a chance.. Desperate times requires desperate measures.
Honestly you’ve spoken well, Our top “guns” are still doing things in the very old way.
Until we make Armored vehicles standard means of transport & 24/7 air coverage we will not be able to deliver final blow to this blood-suckers and reduce casualties due to ambush.

Learnt there was an ambush on our troops along Damboa road.
Until we make MRAP’s our least means of transport for soldiers in the N.E. frontlines, we will continue to suffer from ambushes.
BHT will always stage ambush and result to gorilla tactics has a result to keep relevant, But with well protected vehicles our troops would be able to fight through such ambush or repel it.

I much would it take the federal government to buy fairly used varieties of MRAP’s from the United States and order between 200-300 MRAP’s from Proforce to encourage indigenous products.

You’re worst than are nuisance!
Same person that would call a Orsis T5000 sniper riffle another name and still be arguing blindly when corrected, posting a video that old tagging it a recent one.
They’re not fans dude, they know the deference between truth, facts and what is not both(truth & facts). Unlike you that you only hate the military chief just because his from a particular region of the country. And it’s so glaring in your comments; they are sentimental, uncalled for, unnecessary and most of all out of context.

Most of you here are are just funny illiterates. You know the system is horrible yet you're ready and always gallant to attack anybody that dares tell you the bitter truth. You're no different from APC supporters who won't hesitate to strangle anybody that talks about the bad side of this government, neither are you different from the Christian's who will threaten you with hell, doom and misfortune if you dare say anything bad about their pastors. That video clearly shows soldiers pushing an APC and expose themselves to danger. Some of them were complaining same way they've been complaining of low ammunition and general welfare. Ask yourselves are these things supposed to be like that? Yet you'll waste no time to tackle anybody that exposes shìts like this.

The truth is that many of you on this thread happen to be kids of senior officers , na why the system dey always sweet you for belle. Your dads sit all day inside AC with his colleagues strategizing how to divert money for the latest runz to the ogas at the top so they too can have their own share while the real soldiers are cramped up in dirty barracks or sent to mount road block or sent to fight BH. bidexiii for example once told me about how his father used to take him on a drive to the defence HQ.Instantly I knew that was where his love for the army began. If you wanna see the rabid side of his døggy attitude, just insult buratai grin

There's a reason you're called Nigerians anyways, you can barely think.
Shot your mouth ...!
“when did I personally tell you my dad drove me to military barracks ......etc”
Yeap I once said that on the thread but not with you personally,I do not know you neither have we met ?
people like you wouldn’t insult past service chiefs who did nothing. The video you posted was has a result of your hatred for buratai, not because his not performing but because his from the Northern part of the country.
We know you’re part of past embittered military officers or probably there friends that are not benefitting from your corrupt deals again! Thank God all military procurement are done by the federal government/M.O.D no show for you guys again cry
Keep trolling till you land yourself into trouble !
Dude am a big fan of Buratai, his not perfect but he has surpassed past chief in all aspect, his hatred is going to drive you insane !

Finally I don’t attack anybody that insult Buratai, “naa you get your mouth”, I was only stating a fact that the video you posted was old, that’s 100% correct and truth ! You’re the clueless rookie

OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE: AIR TASK FORCE DESTROY TERRORISTS’ LOGISTICS BASE SCORES OF FIGHTERS NEUTRALIZED IN A DEVASTATING AIR STRIKES AT TONGULE, BUKAR MERAM IN BORNO STATE

1. A Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs) logistics base has been destroyed and scores of their fighters neutralized in another set of successful air interdiction missions executed by the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE under the subsidiary Operation LONG REACH. The air strikes were carried out on 25 June 2020, at Tongule and Bukar Meram in Borno State after series of surveillance missions indicated a resurgence of terrorists’ activities at the 2 settlements. Accordingly, the Air Task Force dispatched Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets to engage the 2 locations.

2. At Tongule, where recent credible intelligence indicated frequent convergence of BHTs, about 35 terrorists were spotted by the NAF surveillance aircraft in different parts of the settlement as it vectored the fighter jets to attack the target area. The munitions from the jets hit designated areas within the settlement, destroying some structures and taking out many of the terrorists.

3. Similarly, at Bukar Meram, a BHT logistics hub on the fringes of the Lake Chad, the air strikes, which were carefully timed and executed in multiple waves for maximum effects, resulted in the obliteration of designated portions of the terrorists’ facilities. Several of their fighters were also killed in the process.

4. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commends the ATF for their dedication and professionalism. The Defence Headquarters equally urges them to intensify the air offensive against the terrorists and all other criminal elements threatening the peace and security of our beloved country.

what is wrong with you? The A29 clears a whooping 165 m in a second and you say a proficient gunner can strike it, which gunner biko? Do you think BHTs and ISWAP have guided aircraft guns? Asides that, the A29 rockets have an 8km range which gun will they use to hit that distance? Even Russia is still developing an AA system of that range.
