And what about the munition the wings carry huh
Am not saying it's right but av seen a lot of pilot do that in naija and foreign pics, I don't think it poses any harm to the wings of the aircraft.

NAF DESTROYS TERRORISTS’ VEHICLE, LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE AT TUMBUN SALE, TUMBUN ALLURA IN BORNO STATE

The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists’ vehicle and some logistics infrastructure at Tumbun Sale and Tumbun Allura on the fringes of Lake Chad in Borno State. The operation was conducted on 8 March 2019 on the heels of intelligence reports indicating the presence of ISWAP fighters along with some vehicles and logistics support items well camouflaged under the dense vegetation within the settlements. Accordingly, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet, supported by an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, was dispatched to attack the terrorists’ hideouts in successive strikes resulting in damage to several structures as well as the destruction of one of the terrorists’ vehicles, which was seen engulfed in flames.

The NAF, operating in concert with surface forces, will sustain its efforts to completely destroy all remnants of the terrorists in the Northeast.

ChuksTalking:
As a retired staff of the Federal Ministry of Defence with years of meritorious service and some knowledge of what happens at the ministry, I can say authoritatively that Nigerian army cadre from one star brigadier general up to four star full general is the citadel of corruption, half-baked competence, backward mentality, out-dated thinking faculty, unrepentant looters of public funds, expert in procurement over-invoicing, specialists in kick-back bribe taking from weapons purchase funds through OEM, not interested in modernization of equipment, unpatriotic men, careless plan-less vision-less humans, merciless on their own country, merciless on civilians, merciless on lower file soldiers fresh recruits privates up to old warrants NCOs, the most technologically nonchallant , fraudulent liars deceiving the ignorant FGN that has no military equipment understanding, deceptive liars fraudsters and connivers with MoD perm secs and DGs in doing very wrong procurement of weapons for Nigerian army and deliberately avoiding the best affordable effective necessary weapons to defend Nigeria from rising rival powers like rival Chad or strong insurgents like Boko Haram, Maghreb-Sahel ISIL, Savannah Bandits, etc that have turned Nigeria to same level of shameful ranking with Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia.

ATGM funds have been provided for repeatedly and looted repeatedly, by diversion and exclusion fraud tactics. All presidents since 1999 seem to look the other way pretending not to see it just to satisfy the unpatriotic unprofessional generals from staging coup-detat overthrowing governments from 1999 to 2019, so they are indirectly given free hand to steal weapons money indirectly through the disbursement system so that audit cannot trace it, as it is done by wrong type of procurements including buying second hand for the price of brand new, buying Toyota instead of IFV BMP, buying unguided shells instead of ATGM PGM SSM that have been used all over the world by fellow third world nations since 1960. Example, Nigerian Cobra APC has only light bullet guns, but Rwandan Cobra APC has Red Arrow ATGM because that is normal standard for best firepower.

Today after spending over USD 30 billion on defence both the regular and some extra budgets from 1999 to 2019, of which close to USD 20 billion was appropriated to Nigerian army, no single ground to ground missile was purchased by Nigerian army in deliberate diversion of funds by smart stealing.

The hearts of 7/8 of Nigerian army generals is grossly dark wicked dishonest corrupt unpatriotic unethical unprofessional untrustworthy, poorly informed about modernization, unwilling to learn, not interested in correction from those who know better, in their Nigerian arrogance of the ignorant who thinks because he passed NDA courses and a few 3 month theory paper courses overseas, he is now equal to a Russian army general with his brain based inside his Abalti Barracks in Yaba.

They have also denied world standard training on infantry tactics to privates up to warrant NCOs, eating money for overseas training that NAF and NN does for airmen and ratings of very low file. The average NA infantry man cannot match world standard because he is denied the right training which these boys are ready willing to receive if given opportunity to be trained by the best academies overseas or by trainers invited to give field craft training locally in Kaduna to raise the standard of our privates to NCOs. You cannot give Enyimba coaching to players and expect Chelsea performance from them on the field.

Nigerian army generals have no plan for future modernization, all their minds now is illegal personal profiteering from Boko Aramu war at the expense of true national victory. For those little kids on internet who have not been career educated in real ground warfare, who now say Nigeria does not need ATGM with year 2020 around the corner, they are ignorant oppositions to the progress of Nigeria, so maybe when they grow up to become 30 year old varsity graduates with a job and go to Apapa Tin Can tokunbo car market they will buy 1960 Peugeot 404 as personal car in 2020 since they wish their country's army is to use unguided weapons into next year 2020, they too should buy Volkswagen Beetle 1500 made in 1960 as family car to ride.

Clean up your kiddo ignorance by googling the cost of ATGM made in the East Europe or Asia at peanut USD 500,000 for full system pre-loaded full of missiles, and check the speed of the missile as in faster than fighter jets, then find out meaning of fire-and-forget missile lock-on. You are commenting on what you don't understand, but I won't deny that kids will be kids.

When a country is hijacked by the types of over-greedy army generals and Ministry of Defence perm secs - DGs that Nigeria has with senators that cannot supervise DEFSEC with basic knowledge of basic army equipment, then to fully defeat Boko Haram will be a uphill task, and to face a patriotic modernized army like Ethiopia will be a total disgraceful defeat for Nigeria versus Ethiopia that has patriotic army generals and MoD yet with no oil money, a defence budget far below that of Nigeria. Your FGN always appoints nonchalant ministers of defence who have no interest in defending Nigeria, but are appointed to compensate them for supporting a president's campaign funding to win election. The man Danalisco they put there to help us win war versus Boko Haram is not interested in building a modern army, and since the lootable funds are not enough to share with so many generals, the Danalisco refused to ministerially defend Nigeria any more, he abandoned the job to chase governorship of a state where he can eat more money, Nigeria gave you honour you dont deserve, to be our war time defence minister, it was nepotism and cash that got you that job.

Nigerian army generals, one day God's judgement will catch all of you eating weapons money by tricks, you blame NAF for not giving you hundred per cent air support, after you stole by diversion all your own army budget for modern armoured corps third generation main battle tanks and modern infantry corps third generation ATGM that would have given all your FOBs hundred per cent impregnable defence and you wont need NAF to fly till aircraft break in pieces from air fatigue in excess sorties.

NAF used its money well and has bought 3 modern JF17Thunders for a whopping investment of $185 million, 6 modern Armed AW109M tank burster helicopters, if NAF looted her own budget funds how will they have aircraft to give you army generals close air support versus Boko Aramu? You see NAF buying 3 JFT, 6 Armed AW109M, 15 A29, hundreds of Chinese guided air defence and surface attack missiles, GPS-laser guided bombs, 200 American laser-GPS guided bombs, 400 American guided air to surface missiles, 300 Russian guided air to surface missiles, but you army looter generals cannot buy one single missile for your army to win the 10 year long war versus Boko Haram that has killed over 1,000 soldiers and policemen? Is there no end to your greed and unpatriotic selfishness? Until one day the privates to warrants that you turn to cannon-fodder wasted souls that you denied quality training and quality weapons turn against you in mutiny and send you to join greedy thieving Albadesco for yonder?

- Chuks

Not bitter because you retired me prematurely or that you withhold my pensions for refusing to join your personal enrichment while diluting Nigeria's defence capability with inferior army weapons now displayed as ancient history in war memorial museums of other countries while you got budget funds to buy exactly one quarter of what Egyptian army has which is what you demanded from FGN in the documents you submitted without giving specific details as usual of what you will buy so that you cannot be held accountable by asset acquisition audit committees.

Everyday for thief one day for owner, bushmeat go catch the hunter

NAF we pop champagne for 6 brand new Armed AW109M, let NA continue to robbin lootin itself to untimely death
Have met with a lot of NA generals; so arrogant, backwards & monumentally corrupt.
The NA needs overhauling and serious restructuring, on a final note the federal government as to find a way to stop corruption in the army.

**MULTINATIONAL JOINT TASK FORCE TROOPS HUMBLE BOKO HARAM*. grin

- 40 BHT Killed
- 6 Gun Trucks Destroyed
Equipment, Arms and Ammunition Captured

In continuation of Operation YANCIN TAFKI which was launched last month, troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force, comprising Air and Land Components from Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic and Nigeria have for the second time in about 10 days, dealt a devastating blow on Boko Haram Terrorists.

Last night, Boko Haram Terrorists operating along the Kamadougou River, between Niger and Nigeria, attacked troops location in Gueskerou, about 30 kilometers from Diffa in Niger Republic. However, troops showed valour and gallantry by fiercely defending their location and killing 27 terrorists, destroying 6 Gun Trucks and capturing several equipment, arms and ammunition. A few terrorists who escaped the fire fight were observed running towards Gashigar in Nigerian territory and were being pursued as at the time of issuing this Press Release.

In a related development, between 3 and 6 pm today, MNJTF troops also confronted Boko Haram Terrorists around Abadam, in the general area of Mallam Fatori. A summary of human and equipment casualty suffered by Boko Haram during the engagement is stated below:
a. 23X BHT KILLED
b. 20X AK 47 RIFLES
c. 5X AA GUN
d. 12X AK 47 RIFLES
e. 1000 X 7.62 MM AMMO
f. 500 X 12.7MM AMMO
g. 1 X BHT CAPTURED ALIVE
h. 5 X MOTOR CYCLES
i. 1 X MOTOR CYCLE DESTROYED.
j. 4 GUN TRUCKS DESTROYED
k. 3 GUN TRUCKS CAPTURED
l. 3 GENERAL PURPOSE MACHINE GUNS CAPTURED
m. 3 HAND GRENADES CAPTURED

It would be recalled that about 10 days ago, MNJTF troops also struck Boko Haram Terrorists in Dorou in Niger Republic, neutralizing many of them in the process. The MNJTF is therefore determined to intensify subsidiary operations such as raids, ambushes and fighting patrols among others until the last strong hold of Boko Haram in the Lake Chad Basin is neutralized.

Please, disseminate this information to the general public.

Nigerian Army Troops of 22 Brigade repelled an ISWAP infiltration into Ngowm Village on Wednesday 6th March 2019, scores of terrorists killed. Military recovered are 2 Gun Trucks mounted with 12.7mm AA's 2 RPG Bombs and 5 AK47rifles. Additionally captured was a Galil ACE most likely looted from the Cameroonian BIR and almost certainly would have been used by an ISWAP commander. Nigerian Army defensive posture seems to have improved over the last few months around Lake T'chad with better base defences and fortifications.

PRESS RELEASE:

TROOPS DISLODGED BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS NEAR NGWOM AND KUBU VILLAGES

Troops of 122 Task Force Battalion deployed in the Forward Operation Base at Ngwom Community in Borno State have effectively destroyed some Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) when they (troops) had a fierce encounter with the terrorists fighting in 4 gun trucks at about 2230hrs on Wednesday, the 6th of March, 2019.

The bandits (BHTs), had in the recent past, attempted to attack the same troops' location but phyrrically receded because of stiff resistance and aggressive pursuit from the indefatigable and patriotic troops on a noble military expedition.

In the encounter, tremendous success was achieved, - troops captured the following;

a. 2 Gun trucks mounted with Anti Aircraft Guns
b. 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Tubes
c. 5 AK 47 rifles

Additionally, 5 BHTs were forcefully sent to "permanent sleep". Several others evidently escaped with gunshot wounds.

Similarly, on the same day, at about 2300 hours, troops deployed at Gulak responded to a distress call from Kubu village in Shani Local Government Area of Borno State on the nefarious activities of terrorists - criminals operating in the village.

On getting close to the area, the bandits engaged the troops with sporadic firing. In the process, the following incidences were recorded;

A BHT was deleted and 1 AK 47 rifle was recovered. No lost of life or casualty on the part of the Nigerian Army.

The Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Sector 1, Operation Lafiya Dole, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu commended the troops and conveyed the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai's commendation and continued support in the war against terrorism and insurgency. He urged them to maintain the momentum at all times.

Seems there's still heavier arms available in #Libya: This 9K111M Faktoria ATGM was available for sale in late Jan 2019.

It was manufactured in Febuary 1999, has serial 02451 & was likely made in Russia. The Faktoria is one of the more modern/deadly versions of the Fagot ATGM.
