...Please has anybody that did interview/exco for Enquiry Officer on the 29TH of April got medical invite?...Cos I need to know if their silence means rejection...This silence is just too long mehn...

Now am confused, imagine someone that did interview/Exco chat for same Enquiry position weeks after mine has got medical invite and I havn't, what kind of a process is that, huh?...

I did Interview/Exco chat for Enquiry Officer on 29TH April, more than two month and up till now no medical invite, can you imagine that. At least regret email should be sent if one is not being considered again. Worst still I emailed my contact persons, yet no response...

So 18Wheeler, I have a question for you sir.
Does Stanbic IBTC send regret email when one is not been considered again after interview or do they expect one to take their silence for rejection?...

Hmmm! I have done my permutation and I will not be going for the interview, reason being that I dont have enough information on the packages involved in this position, dont know if one will be placed on salary, road expenses or commission...Mehn! its too shady I cant risk that far a role I dont have enough information about...

For those that will be going, I called them and I was told that the last interview day is Monday...

E don land o, I just got a text message inviting me to Obajana Plant on Fri/Mon for interview and documentation...The problem I have little information on what the details of the job entails (salary package and all that) cos the distance is just too far for one to risk and it there and latter not be OK with the package...

I got the call too, it was more like a questionaire, you answer yes or no...
Funny thing is that I applied late, was surprised to even get the call...The offer seems interesting though but I need more details, like is their gonna be pay, who pays the driver, motor boys and all that...

About the payslip/acct statemt n all that just let you don't have em, cos if you aint working there is no way you can...And if you are working buh being paid by hand just tell them your monthly salary n inform em you are been paid by hand, no big deal...

About experience, never mind, cos if you look thro' the JD that wad sent to you it stated 0-2 yrs experience, so no qualms...

About the interview, just be confident, read to their website and read about StanbicIBTC very well, their values, goals etc. And read about customer service very well, study your resume in details, read the JD sent to you especially the tech n personal competencies, it will give the idea of what is expected of you as an Enquiry Officer then you use that to prep yourself...

And above all pray for grace...

With the above with some polished interview skills, then you are good to go...

Interesting discussion, buh there is something confusing in how StanbicIBTC does their recruitment...
The minimum requiremt for their graduate trainee is a 2:1, while the minimum for this ongoing one is 2:2...
Their graduate trainees attend banking school, while in the ongoing one they just conduct training based on your position applied for...
Graduate Trainees apply without a specific role, but here we for specific roles...
And lots more...
Am just curious to why all this differences...

My dear, you have to learn to wait cos you will wait ehn!...I did mine since 29th April and nothing yet and there are peeps that have done earlier than me and have not been contacted...This recruitment is a long thing so you gotta learn to waaaaiiiiittttttt.

18Wheeler, I have a couple of questions as I patiently await my medical invite.

Am just curious, do you have any idea if anybody in the ongoing recruitment have by any chance resume?...just trying to figure out if the recruitment is been concluded individually or otherwise.

The internal staff that are participating in this recruitment, do you have any idea if they are still waiting medicals like us or has their own recruitment been concluded?

After the whole recruitment process, will Stanbic IBTC send us to training school (like they do for their Graduate Trainees) or is it gonna be on the job training...

Just one but they told me I was suppose to go through more than one stage of interview but at the time they said that will be the only interview...An Exco was present at the interview though...

No it wont, categorically. Both fresh and experienced applicants are considered here. You just need to convince them that your experience can be used to enhance and project the organization and yourself. For you to have scaled the test means you have the right aptitude for the job. I don't want to sound like I'm the one choosing the applicants here but... you have atleast shown yourself as a potential by passing the test. Just relax and get yourself thru the less challenging stages. Hope to see you soon as a member of the Standard bank group.

There's nothing ridiculous about an honestly earned pay. What matters here is your experience while earning that pay and how you will use it to add value to yourself and the organisation. If asked about pay, tell them as it is. If they think its important they will make enquiry from your employer. Just ensure they don't receive a contrary info from what you tell them. Good luck.

Congrats in advance. Means you made it past the test stage.
No need to worry about the interview. Just have all your personal details in your memory, kind of memorizing your CV. Then of course some knowledge about the organization; current happenings in the industry; competencies of the job function which is same as customer service officer in other places. About the salary account, just tell them you were receiving your pay by hand and tell them the amount. If you have an employment letter from your present employer you should. go along with it. It should contain some detail about your pay. Just answer any questions honestly because enquiry will be made from your present employer. Ensure you are relaxed and confident. You may be asked about your weaknesses, please say it as it is because that will be used to determine your training needs as you commence the job. Please feel free to ask any further questions and I'll gladly respond as much as I can. Good luck.

At my present workplace wc isn't related 2 banking @all, I receive my salary by hand and wasn't given any offer letter...I hope my not having an offer letter isn't goin 2 jeopardice my chances on ds job?...
Furthermore, my salary is ridiculous (below N30K) cn I quote it anyways, if it isn't gonna jeopardice my chances?...
And lastly, after ds interview do U knw hw many stages of interview ar left till am offer D position...
