Celebrities › Re: The Shameful Fall Of TerryG: A Lesson For Commercial Artistes by Bigcake: 2:50pm On Nov 18, 2015 |
Rapmoney: For years, this Nigerian artiste thrilled us with bunches and dozens of trash! Many Nigerians actually spent this time dancing to his 'beats' filled with meaningless statements as lyrics!!! . It became so annoying when people who know nothing about good music and the generes of music in general started referring to TerryG as a hip-hop artiste!!! What an insult to hip-hop!!! Though, that didn't disturb me much because I know a lot of Nigerians don't even know how to classify music/songs.
When TerryG started this music thing some years back, he was producing and doing RnB. According to him, he wasn't selling records; he decided to 'commercialize' not only his songs but also his life. He introduced all he could into his music...flagrant display of weed smoking, drinking, celestial church bell ringing (Akpako) and other stuffs. After that, he became popular and was riding on the wings of commercial music. For TerryG, the sky was the only limit! .
Today, the irrelevance of this artiste in the Nigerian music industry is very clear; in fact, it is as clear as DSTV!!! . The young man doesn't have anything else to talk about; his weed, drink, Mr bling bling, bell ringing and other stuffs have not been able to save him. That is what is obtainable when one commercializes his music and loses his talent in the process!!! No matter how commercial you go, always remember to keep your talent intact. I know so many Nigerian artistes that are no longer heard after a short time because they either lost their talent or lacked real talent in the first place I believe Wizkid, Davido and some other music folks would still be in the limelight even in years to come because they still retained elements of their talent and sanity musically! As far back as year 2000, I was nodding my head to songs by the likes of Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, etc. Today, it may interest you to know that I am still doing that...and proudly too. Why? It is because they do commercial music but still retained their talent! They do music that suit the American populace, even down to Asia and Africa!!!
Nigerian artistes should learn how to be creative to stay relevant! It is not all about dishing out beats and crazy senseless lyrics to members of the public!!! Where is D'Smart that dis that song about pikin that wanted to drink small stout? No where to be found because he lacked real talent. He was only there to pick the few Naira notes he could while the fake fame lasted!
Recently, some artistes have reared their heads from no where and have started dishing out meaningless trash to the public. Let's see if the 'Share the gala, share the cake' artistes will still be relevant in the industry in the next two years!!! Op, you be mumuu. Dont you know that there is time for everything ? Infact you too small. |

sandraokosun1: My geniune advice to pdp to survive is this. 1. Remove olisa metuh, akabio, fayose and ffk frm representing ur party. The role they played brought them to where they are 2day.Spokemen are key learn frm apc. The more ffk and metu talk the more it sinks deeper.
Dokpesi has tried to apologise and draw sympathy(stating where he thought it aired). Noting that acceptance/acknowledgement of mistakes is the first step in returning to drawing board. I dont knw what the arrogance and stupidity of that over pampered child ffk is about. He thinks he knows but know nothing. Too much licking of bianca/his bleached gf punny as made him loose his brain. Its obvious that for the pdp to zone back to the north means it accepts its error of bringing gej instead of returning to statos quo. Ffk knws nothing abt his own party, or what brought it to comatose and yet the killer party hasnt expelled him for acting on its behalf. What has pdp learned frm its defeat? Whats the need of the conference if they dont know this? You obviously didn't go to school. Your write up says it all. |

blueto: I presume that one of the reasons for the impermanence and indubitable failure to implicitly transits the sublime performance to the senior world cup is because of lack of steadfastness by homogeneous set of players.
we were hoping and maintaing a resolute fidelity on the previous U-17 lads to evovle to the U-20 world cup and win it, since they did absolutely well in the U-17. but they ended up being one of the commiserated teams in the tornament.
this is because they are now virtually deviod of thesame level of dedication and passsion of which they formally possessed during the U-17 world cup. they played the U-17 world cup with great commitment because they know that it was an unprecedented vantage of displaying their phenomenal talents to the world, and most especially to secure the attention and the induction into some prestigious clubs, to play and earn in the top league and clubs! At this stage, they are ready to do anything just to record an impressive performance.
But onces they have succesfully achieved this objective, they begin to exprience a frivolous and a declining enthusiasm for the national team. they no longer put in their best, because of they have gotten want they wanted.
And aslo because of the saying that 'Nigeria is not worth dieing for' If any detrimental situation betide them during national football matches, they will be forgotten without any indemnification for them and their families. Nigerias praise and consider you when you are active and yeilding great results, but they desert you in the time of adversity. And I predicate that such pedestrian mindset by Nigerians is one of the major deterrents to them. Are u in anyway related to Mike Ogbahobon |

meshacha1: 17 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER IN LIFE. 1. Never give up on anything;miracles happen everyday. 2.Be brave even if you are not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. 3. Think big thoughts, relish small pleasures. 4. Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly. 5. Never deprive someone of hope, it might be all they have. 6. Strive for excellence, not perfection. 7. Don't waste time greiving over past mistakes. Learn from them and move on. 8. When someone hugs you let them be the first to let go. 9. Never cut what can be untied. 10. Don't expect life to be fair. 11. Remember: Success comes to the one that acts first. 12. Never waste an oppurtunity to tell someone you love them. 13. Remember that nobody makes it alone. Have a greatful heart and be quick to acknowledge those who help you. 14. Never underestimate the power of a kind word or deed. 15. Laugh alot. A good sense of humor cures almost all of life's ills. 16. Don't miss the magic of the moment by focusing on whats to come. 17. Watch for big problems. They disguise big oppurtunities.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sacrilegious: Why I Was Demoted As A Pastor! by Bigcake: 10:50pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Freegift75: This is a true life story
My immediate siblings are twin brothers, same mother and father. November 5, they will mark their 39yrs of age. Taiwo and Kehinde happily married and lived comfortably.
Taiwo married a banker while Kehinde married University non-academic staff. They are both devoted christians and they both live in same town.
About a year ago, we lost Taiwo in a fatal accident and left a surviving wife as widow and three kids. Six months later, as their senior brother and the breadwinner of the whole family, I summoned Kehinde to re-marry Taiwo's wife to continue playing the role of husband.
Kehinde and Taiwo's wife agreed to marry each other but Kehinde's wife kicked against the union. Kehinde only has one child and since 8yrs now nothing more.
Kehinde's wife got provoked, lashed me with demeaning words and thereby reported me to our Church senior pastor at the headquarters and I was demoted for involving in sacrilegious belief.
It's a shock today again to have received a letter from the headquarters that I'm no more needed as pastor in their ministry due to this same issue.
This is a ministry that I had spent a lot towards its growth. The land our branch was built on was bought by me alone.
Now, what is my offence? Bros, the fact is that the spirit of God was never in you. How can a Pastor create such hatred amongst family members and expect a pat on the back from the Church? Children only come from God: That Kehinde's wife had only one child is not good enough reason for you to fashion the idea of ancient marital practices: By so doing, you only succeded in creating animosity in the once loving family: you deserve what you gat: |
