Thank God, they are not in opposition party. How do we fight corruption and crimes in this country if you guys reduce everything to witch hunting? Are you telling me that these two people you mentioned are innocent? You will tag the next suspect an opposition member.
because the govt has an inkling that they want to defect, thats the reason for all this, u know dino has defected
its not about u or me saying its witch hunting. any reasonable person can see the hand writing on the wall, its too obvious its witch hunting.

have u ever imagined that Bukola Saraki, the son of Olusola Saraki, a former bank MD,a former two time governor, having his second term as a senator, and now a senate president for the past three years that makes more than N80m monthly as senate president will send people on a bank robbery with his vehicle and his name boldly written on it. To steal how much I beg u.

u are just quoting Nnmadi kanu, kanu was just annoyed over past happenings and betrayals. in constitutional conferences we were with u people, in senate we were together with same goal, in house of reps, the same

btw, I don't see anything wrong in breaking up a country that hasn't worked for over 100yrs of its existence. 1914 till date

How did Yorubas rule with Hausa for 52yrs?

Azikiwe was ceremonial president to Tarawa Balewa from 1960 to 1966. He was already governor general before then.

Alex Ekwueme was vice president to Shagari for 4 yrs from 1979 to 1983.

Aikhomu from Edo and SouthSouth was vice to Babangida from 1985 to 1993.

Akhigbe from Edo was vice to Abdulsalami for 11 months from 1998 to 1999.

Jonathan from Bayelsa was vice to Yar'Adua for 3yrs from 2007 to 2010, and president for 5yrs from 2010 to 2015.
VP is ineffective, they are spare tyres. u can see the good tidings in osinbajo but he cant implement it

btw, hausa and yorubas ruled for 52yrs and made that biase constitution and we are all suffering it

What is Rotimi Amaechi doing about it if it is Hausa and Yoruba that are doing this?
the president has the final say, not amaechi. jona didn't do it also because he sabi look hausa face before ha does anything. its annoying. that doesn't mean it should be continued. if the economic reason for that is not well spread, then igbos complain are genuine

Onitsha does not open to the sea.

And I'm sure that whatever seaport from the coast leads into Onitsha by river, would need that river to be dredged.

Who has stopped that river from being dredged?

Let me ask you some honest questions.

How viable has Enugu international airport been since it started its international operations?

One thing I've noticed with Nigeria is that we prefer to use only one thing till it is destroyed and we move to the next new replacement.

Lagos has international airport because it was capital and remains commercial capital and it is cosmopolitan, Abuja has one because it is capital and a cosmopolitan city.

Kano has one for the North and hajj operations and it is a cosmopolitan city. PortHarcourt has one because it is the petroleum capital and also cosmopolitan.

I can understand lamentations about moving from Abia/Enugu to Lagos and vice versa. But one would think that both Airport and Seaport in PortHarcourt would be useful within its limitations to cater for those SouthEast traffic.

And if indeed there is some topographical limitations and bureaucratic limitations, why where they not addressed by a Southern federal government dominated by Ijaws and Igbos in the presidency, ministries and specific agencies that oversee these facilities?

Even till today, a SouthSouth Rotimi Amaechi is transport minister overseeing both Airports and Seaports.

How are we Yorubas to blame?
its a new intl airport , so its picking up. since Enugu came on stream my friends from overseas no longer have to come to lagos either by bus or flight , pay for hotel accommodation while processing his papers for weeks, eat in the restaurants, do photocopy, ply transport up and down etc before traveling. so u see why lagos will continue to be having high IGR, because of skewed policies. My friends now spend less like their Yoruba and hausa counterparts. you are still wondering why the igbos love jonathan, this is one of the reasons: ENUGU INTL AIRPORT

And who has stopped you and the most traveled Africans from using Enugu Airport?

Who has stopped your river ports?

Those with sea port are still asking for improved depth, you are asking for river port that will fly over the shallow seaport?

Thankgod Jonathan was president for 5 years without any Yoruba influence in his government.

None of the WestAfrican nations has our population which explains why we have 4 or 5 viable international airports while they have only 1. Or don't you understand?

Our airports do not suffer from excessive traffic and we don't even have an extensive landmass that might warrant littering the nation with international airports even if the traffic is low.
hope u have heard or read in the news that the govt tax ships that use the east more $5,000 and lagos $2,000. then how do u explain that.
yoruba and hausa govts be using unhealthy policies to strangulate the east. in the long run, this country will sink as far as this hatred exist

there is Enugu airport and pH airport. the government is not the one stoping airlines from going there. the government can build a bus station but you can't force private buses to use your station.

I wonder why you cry babies didn't put pressure on Jonathan to fix all these for you.

I know yorubas give you nightmares but we are not the cause of your misfortunes. the ports in the south south are run by intels an aboki man. face the north and fight them pls. leave us out of your cries.
when we face the north, are u assuring us that u wouldn't join them again to fight us? this is our only problem with u people.

I often laugh when I read statements from Igbos lumping the SS with their SE problem of no port or low port patronage.

I know for a fact that Onne port in Rivers State is ever busy, despite the dip that was due to the reduced oil and gas industry projects owing to the oil price slump. The port is available for those who claim they want to deny Lagos IGR, as though it is Lagos state that is operating the federal ports there.

Ignorant people just love to make fallacious assertions having observed same fallacy regurgitated by many.

It is only in Nigeria that we believe every state or tribe must have international airport, or that every coastal state must have sea port. Even those landlocked from the sea are claiming that they must have riverport, and that the sea port in Lagos is the reason their goal to have a river port has not garnered any traction.

Most countries in the world barely have more than 2 or 3 international airports.

Most of our WestAfrican neighbours only have 1 international airport. Yet we have people that lament that Lagos and Abuja have international airports, as though it was not due to their capital status, and then claim they are being marginalized and deliberately underdeveloped.

Nigeria also operate international flights from international airports in Kano and Port Harcourt. So are those 4 international airports not enough for this country, and are they not evenly spread enough, or international airport must also be a federal character principle?

How viable have those other international airports been when they were eventually upgraded to assuage tribal parochialism?
you are just running away from the truth

if not for tribalism how can a people that does more of the importing and exporting not have an international airport since, if not that jonathan recently upgraded Enugu. and again is there not supposed to a sea port at Onitsha? is lagos not over burdened already? every year u are repairing oshodi apapa express way because 5million trucks ply it everyday. continue, na una go tire.

the African countries with one airport u mentioned, whats there population and how heterogenous are they?
what international status does PH have before now, it was flying only African countries before now.
the complain of the igbos are genuine
