I rented a self contained apartment last year March at 70ķ. On February, this year, the landlord called to tell me that my rent has expired. I told him that my rent will expire on March but he insisted so I told him okay. I also told him that I will be paying by the end of March and he agreed. I thought all was settled until I heard him saying that he has increased his rent to 150k. I was like how on earth and why telling me now. We argued and he told me 130k last while I stood at 100k. I argued that the duration of notice is short. So we couldn't settle, so he ended the call. I later found out that three people were engineering him to increase his rent or throw me out. These three people are close to me. I feel betrayed and looking for another accommodation. Ì wanted to stay because of the yard, we are just two tenants and I have a small garden of cassava.
I spoke with the landlord 8 days ago and we settled and 110k. Just today, he has changed and now demanding 120k. Ìt is getting out of my budget and too, having those three friends around isn't giving me happiness anymore. I am confused.

In life, one must learn to tolerate people for peace to reign. Though peace is not necessarily the absence of conflict. But managing conflict is crucial and critical to harmonious coexistence amongst people especially your immediate neighbors.
As an introvert, I like being alone and try as much as I can to avoid issues. Whenever I perceive trouble looming, I do everything to avert it. I believe in building good relationships with people cos nobody knows tommorow. Besides, your neighbors are like your security, they help watch over you. In fact they are your first family.
I have a neighbor who is doing pretty better than me. He and his girlfriend(a live-in lover) come to borrow stuffs from me. Sometimes, little money. Most times, household equipments and electrical appliances. But when they do, they fail to return them. As for the little money they come to borrow, they don't return it and I also don't ask. My major issue is my pressing iron and Mortar. Once they come to get my mortar, they don't return it after use. I will have to go get it from them before I can cook. They have NEVER borrowed and returned without me going by myself to collect it back. There are times I go and not meet anyone of them at home, then I get stranded and unable to cook my food. I don't use powdered pepper to cook, it's fresh pepper, onion and crayfish I pound whenever I'm cooking, and sometimes, okpehe. Same issue with the pressing iron. We all know how NEPA operate. Nobody knows when the lights will come on or go off, so whenever there's light, I try to iron a few clothes. But most times, I won't be able to do so because the iron is locked inside their room and they are not home. This attitude of theirs is really pissing me off. Mind you, I don't have any issue giving my things to neighbors. My only issue is why don't they return it after use? These are adults who are way older than me for crying out loud. I'm not good at handling issues with diplomacy whenever I'm angry. I just blow up whenever I've had it to the brim.
There was a day I needed to iron a dress for work, Its a dress code for a particular day. I had returned home late that day and forgot the pressing iron was with me and I slept off. When the light was restored in the middle of the night, I woke up to get the clothes ironed but remembered they had borrowed my iron the previous day. I couldn't go to wake them up that night and before daybreak, NEPA had seized the light. I ended up not using the dress code meant for that day, my boss issued me a query and also fined me for flouting the rule.
As I write, my mortar is still with them and has being with them for a week now. I'm planning on retrieving it soon and once I do, I will never give them again. Leaving the mortar with them means they know I don't cook always and I see it as me allowing them to know too much of me. I have a girlfriend who's a baby mama that comes around once in a while and she's really not happy about this. She said it's because I'm too gentle and soft that's why I'm being treated this way.

I feel disrespected.

We are both AA. I actually do not have an issue with sorting bills cos i get a steady funds from my lounge and i work at different events almost every weekend. I think i will just ensure i have other source of income just to be on the safer side. Also, I will get an apartment.

I have switched to GLO 1TB...still available before they jacked it up. My unlimited 20MBPS will lapse early March. If I can use my GLO for 5 months, I'm still within that 20k fee.

Call rates have been bumped up to 25 kobo per second from about 18 lobo per second. Like MTN, Airtel has left some tariff plans untouched. For instance, the 5GB plan/week for N1,500 remains unchanged.

This hike in tariff is meant to support “the ability of operators to continue investing in infrastructure and innovation, ultimately benefiting consumers through improved services and connectivity, including better network quality, enhanced customer service, and greater coverage.”

However, experts have noted that it may further strain consumers’ pockets. According to Bismarck Rewane, chief executive officer of Financial Derivatives Company, the hike promises to benefit operators but will put additional strain on consumers’ pockets, possibly “resulting in reduced usage from consumers.”

This is exactly what happened to me now, this sunday morning by 6;13am .
I received a debit of 3,812.00 and I was imagining what o bought a.d who used my atm card.
So I quickly went to Google to search for E-cart internet service and I discovered its linked to Jumia.
Then o remembered I bought something from jumia on Wednesday.
I received an OTP that day and I was charged for the order.
I never knew that the money wasn't removed that very day.
I don't know why they have to delayed till today?
While I was searching for questions about the debit, Google links me to this morning on nairaland and I started reading comments.
So it's something you may have bought or ordered online that you have forgotten.
Thank you the post it helped me quench my curiosity.

I wish I knew that as a man, you are only valued when you spend and spend. Though I never regretted giving to my family, but I did that at the detriment of my own future. Now everyone has moved on without knowing whether I live or I die.
The small business I was managing collapsed, I called home to inform my mother of the hardship I am currently facing here, All she could warn me is how I spend on women, that I should be careful with them. Me that she knew quite alright that I am the very opposite of what she insinuated. Now everybody has left me behind, I should have focused on building myself first. I don't know why people with good heart suffer heartbreak the most.
The issue is that I don't have anybody to cry for help. Pls I really need help on how to survive this situation, I don't mind doing menial job just to survive, if I can get okada on hire purchase or keke I will appreciate, or if anyone can help me with job, I rounded up my NYSC last year in the North , and decided to stay and do small business but the business failed due to my mistake. Seun, mods, my fellow nairalanders please help your boy. I need a job and I can relocate to any state to start life afresh, since there is life, there is hope. First thing you shoulda do is to move the rest of the money to another account that's more secure or else, this same person will likely withdraw the rest of the funds in minutes unless u block that atm card via the app.

From what the seller told me, you have to buy both the router they are selling and the sim.

U may now decide to put the sim inside another router o and it will work ... infact, it will work inside your phone sef ... but they are not selling just the sim (unless they decide to now sell sim only with that plan now)
