RomanceRe : The Worst Action Your Partner Took After A Breakup? by Bigsteveg(op): 8:45am On Jan 03, 2014
Hello guys, following a trend that was created recently titled 'The Worst Action Your Partner Took After A Breakup?'.......i never knew a guy could go as far as committing suicide because of a girl, here

This happened in Ikorodu town, Lagos State, western Nigeria, residents was thrown into mourning on New Year day when a graduate of Architecture, Ogunsona Daniel Adekunle Adebambo, committed suicide by hanging himself in an uncompleted storey building.

The body of Adebambo was found around 1 a.m. yesterday dangling from a rope tied to the hook of a fan in an uncompleted storey building at 1, Alice Ogunsona Street, Hilltop Estate, Eruwen, Ikorodu.
P.M.NEWSinvestigations revealed that Adebambo, 30, studied Architecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and did his national service in Abia State.
The deceased was found by his younger brother after reading the suicide note he left in their sitting room.
He allegedly blamed his action on his girlfriend’s father who refused to allow him marry his daughter.
A friend of the deceased disclosed that Bambo, as he was fondly called, killed himself because his fiancee’s father, who is from Ondo State, said his daughter cannot marry him because he is an Ijebu man from Ogun State.
Many of the sympathisers who gathered at his residence found the excuse for his action difficult to believe.
Efforts to speak with his fiancee proved abortive as she refused to talk.
The atmosphere at the residence of the deceased in Eruwen was gloomy as family members, friends and neighbours wore sombre look. Two ladies found leaving the compound lamented the death of the man and disagreed with the note he purportedly left stating the reason for taking his life.
•Adebambo, the graduate who commited suicide on New Year Day
Efforts to speak with his brother and other family members were also unsuccessfual as they refused to talk to our reporter.
They threatened to send the reporter out of the compound and confiscate his midget and camera.

A resident of the Hilltop Estate, Ibrahim Adeola, who said he participated in bringing down Adebambo’s body from the ceiling, recalled that he was dead and stiff when they brought him down.
“When the family raised an alarm and we came here, he was already foaming in his mouth and his hand was clenched in a fist. This signified that he struggled till he died,” he said

FamilyRe: Is This A Blatant Housewife Oversight Or Am I Reading Meanings Into Nothing Here by Bigsteveg(m): 11:55pm On Dec 30, 2013
.
Vivanc, Sorry if it comes accross as if some Wives are harsh on this issue, its not that, just that you will face "In Laws" who love it when they can cause friction in the home over unnecessary issues.
Believe me, we all want to be good wives and be in good terms with every in law but dear some people will push you.
You can't please everyone some will always find faults regardless of what you do.
The Poster even from the way he told the story came accross as a fault finder who expects his uncle to openly scold his wife so he can see and be pleased.
The sour point in this story for me is comparing his meal with thay of the maids, haba for what na?
Anyway, hopefully he will learn to cook and eat as much meat as he needs, cooking is good for everyone so we avoid situations like this.

FamilyRe: Problems With Sex Is Ruining My Marriage by Bigsteveg(m): 10:28pm On Dec 19, 2013
Seriously, u'll hear different advises here but if u want a professional advice please get in touch with Funmi Akingbade (cafi.punch@yahoo.com)....she's an expert and she even have a column inside the punch newspaper every sunday. Please, mail her or follow her every sunday by buying punch newspaper. Her column is called 'sex and sexuality'. U'll be glad u did. May God save ur marriage. Stay blessed

Mary_John247: I have been a follower of the family section for a couple of years. I have a serious issue that is threatening my marriage, I have no one to talk to as I am abit conscious about discussing my marriage with others even family. I am hoping to get some advice or ideas from here.
I have been married for a year now, my husband and I dated for a while before tying the knot. We never had sex before marriage, though we did alot of other things, I was just never ready to take it to the next level. After the wedding, trying to have sex was very difficult. I was very tight and it was extremely painful (unfortunately, pain is one thing I have never been able to tolerate). What did we not try, getting drunk, taking drugs. Long story short we finally had sex about 5months into the marriage. I have to say that my husband was very understanding and I will forever love him for this.

The problem now is that sex is extremely uncomfortable for me. It is always a battle for him to penetrate, because for me the pain always feels like the first time. Just imagine that everytime we want to get down there is always a struggle before he finally enters. My husband is tired and has told me that i need to find a way of solving this issue. Infact he said I should not speak to him until I am ready to open my legs and stay put for him to penetrate. He says he is loosing all the desire he has for me at the moment. I dont know what to do, I am so distraught. I feel like a failure as a wife, I mean who has ever heard of a new wife running from sex because of the fear of pain.
I dont know if its psychological or if there is something wrong with me down there physically. All I know is that I need help, because I cannot imagine loosing my best friend and soul mate. Pls is there anyone who has gone through this, can anyone help with suggestions on how I can learn to open up, relax and deal with the discomfort. Because I believe that if I can do this, then I can be able to let go and then it will be pleasurable for him and myself as well.

mogbomoya: Hello House,

2014 is round the corner, and the purpose of this tread is to share easy tips on how a working mother can survive without a house help in the YEAR 2014. (This is specially for Nigerian Working Mothers/Women. Mothers abroad pls share ur survival tips as u guys are used to DIY.)

Some say house helps are necessary evils. I had my first help in January 2013 and this year alone I have had 3 househelps! (The first was a thief, the second was so lazy & rude, the third had eye for my hubby and eventually got pregnant for our gate man). I got fed up and I have lived without them since September 2013. I am happy I do not have a stranger living with me.

I have a 17 months Son, and I am currently 3 months pregnant. The following tips will help anyone who decides to join me to say no to househelps in 2014.

1. You must get ur spouse involved. This is the most important o.
2. Get a washing machine. This is a saving grace cos my toddler can wear 5 different outfits in a day!
3. Get a deep freezer. This helps me to cook in bulk and store.
4. Ensure you have a generator that can power you freezer. (You do not want ur stored food getting defrosted and going stale cos of the erratic power supply in Nigeria.
5. Shop in bulk and store. In case you don't have time to shop, there are various online grocery shops. I love Madam Sabi. www.madamsabi.com You can also get ur office assistants/cleaners to help with ur shopping. For me, hubby does the toiletries and necessary provisions shopping (He buys from any supermarket, pack & shop/Shoprite/ebe ano), while I do the vegetables and meat.
6. Plan ur meals at the beginning of each week. I have a timetable.
7. If you have a toddler, get a Creche that closes 7pm around ur home, so that in case you are stuck in traffic, ur mind is at ease knowing fully well that ur kid is in safe hands. My baby's creche closes by 7pm, and in case my hubby/myself can't make it before 7pm. They take him home and I pick him from there. They also bath and fed my baby dinner and dress him in his night wear, so I just pick and put him to sleep in his play pen, while I make dinner. I take to bed when he eventually falls asleep in his playpen.
8. If you have older kids, get an after school facility, most creches offer this service. They bath, feed ur kids and help out with their assignment. They even help make ur female kids hair.
9. While doing house chores/cooking, my hubby baby sits our son.
10. Have a night schedule / specific bed time for ur children. My son sleeps by 7.30/8pm. so I have 2 hours to fix a quick dinner, have my bath, have dinner with hubby and watch TV.
11. Go for first service on Sundays. i.e if u are a xtian. I attend 7.30am service. Am back home before 10am, and have time to do loads of stuffs.
12. I use my Sundays to plan out all our cloths and shoes for the week. (Myself & son)
13. Get at least one good wig. For those sundays you are unable or too tired to make it to the salon.
14. Get ur hubby to help paint ur toe nails and do ur pedicure. Not only does it save u time, but also a bonding time for you both.
15. My hubby helps with the ironing and washing the toilets & bath.
16. Do not stack up ur dirty plates & pot. Try as much as possible to wash as u cook.
17. Get nice cartoons and sing along for ur kids. This keeps my son busy in his play pen / high seat while am busy with cooking/house chores. (In case hubby isn't around to baby sit.)
18. You do not have to attend / honor all weekend party invitations! I bet most don't even notice u are absent.
19. Hubby baths our son every morning. While I pack our breakfast/lunch boxes.
20. If u have an uncooperative hubby, pray to God and talk to ur hubby.

House, abeg add more tips.
Am a man, but seriously this is the best post of the year. We need something meaningful like this article making front page and not all about childish boyfriend-girlfriend-s.ex issue....GOD bless you and bless your home.
Back 2ur post, think i grab one or two lessons myself.

freecocoa: See the way everybody is shouting "ask her questions" someone even said OP should tell her to return the phone, lmao grin.

Is the OP married to this girl? Why would you tell her who to accept gifts from and who not to? Oh well, it depends on the girl sha, so someone can't innocently give another person a gift ba? So what if the girl told him what she wants for a B'day present?

Her bf couldn't afford it means its now a crime to accept it from another guy? Oh please excuse me, see una mindset, abeg people still give gifts with no strings attached.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Masturbation A Sin? by Bigsteveg(op): 5:47pm On Dec 12, 2013
I think most times we mis-quote the bible, what i know is dat what u dont know as a sin is neva a sin, it becomes a sin wen u know its a sin and dere's a law bindin it.
For example, in nigeria, maurijana is illegal, dat means it a sin against God also, but in mexico and some oda countries, its legal, for me that is not a sin against God there.
I'll say the Holy spirit should help us and let us be worthy of God's kingdom and let our sins be forgiven on the judgement day.
