How do i get a copy of the VFS consent form? I am seeing different forms online and i am not sure which is the right one.

How long does it take to get back the passport after sending it via courier?

I applied on the 30th of December for a visitor visa and just got passport request today. I know this is not a visitor visa forum but my guess is that the passport submission process is the same.

I applied as 2 applications in the same portal and payed the fees at once.

Hello everyone, I applied for visitor visa for my parents on the 30th of December last year with the new portal.
They completed their biometrics a few days later and it was updated within a week
I even asked them to do medicals which was also updated a few days later too. (I was told that they did not have to medicals as it is not necessary these days by people who got theirs without medicals. I am not sure how.)
Ever since the medical update no other update.
Eligibility has not yet started and background check is still in process.
The processing time is now beyond the application processing time for Nigerian applicants, 102 days. I am sure it is being processed in Kenya because in a reply to a webform to submit the medicals slip obtained, It was highlighted that the file was being processed in Nairobi.
I have sent numerous other webforms as a representative and they have also sent numerous web forms too as the applicants. No response has been received yet.
What else can i do? They are supposed to be in Canada in May.

Can you please send me the consent form attached.

The Accra VAC has responded with the list of documents needed for the process. It's completely at your discretion to go ahead or wait until the VAC in Nigeria reopens. I have said it earlier on this thread, I know three (3) persons who used his route to submit their passports and have gotten it stamped and returned back to them. Thus I decided to share the information with you guys.

Has anyone here recently submitted passport for stamping? Please how did you go about it? a colleague of mine got passport request recently buyt there is no clear cut instruction on how to submit it. Thank you.

I have seen paper applicants from India, UAE, receive AIP. I dont know about Nigeria but a GCMS note can help you and others determine if they are working on paper applications at all.

Can someone please make this make sense to me. The Canadian High commission in India posted that they are weighing options to reopen VACS in September even with India having the potential to become the new epicenter pf the Covid-19 Virus. I am not sure why the Canadian Vacs in Nigeria are not yet opened or keeping mute on reopening plans. Does not make sense to me.

It is not highly unlikely. People do it alot. It is only safer with a 2 year study duration.

It’s never impossible to get PR with a year of study but it’s highly unlikely.
It’s a point system and the higher your points , the higher chances of you getting the PR.

It is important to know your CRS score if you intend to use the Express Entry route eventually to get your PR after studies in Canada. The express entry route requires a program of at least 8 months and 8 months of physical presence in Canada to be able to claim points for Canadian education. People get PR as federal skilled workers within months of graduating. To say that it is impossible is false. To say that it is a bigger safety net to go for a 2 year program for a 3 yr pgwp is true. It helps to apply through the Canadian Experience class. Within 3 years you can get a 1 year work experience under the appropriate NOC and apply through the CEC.

How does a 1 yr program not qualify for PR. This is untrue.

YES!
At least a 2yrs program gets you a 3yrs PGWP. Mind you a 1yr program doesnt qualify you for a PR but a 2yrs. So if you go ahead with the 30weeks/7months program, it means you need to enrol for an additional program before the end of thr 1st program to make it 2yrs.

Alternatively, your friend in Canada can request a GCMS note for you. It shows progress on your application even when they have not been updated online. It normal would take a month but the recently i hear people get it in only 15 days.

Please how do I contact Nairobi Kenya visa office as I submitted my reapplication online March 24 and till date yet to receive an update, although I contacted them sometime ago and got the generic response. moreso my friend in Canada raised a webform or IRCC website and I got a mail from them July 23 saying:
" We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible."

change browser or wait 1 hour. It happens to me too.

I use chrome and it has been like this since yesterday.

Here. No major update. sent web form and got same generic response just yesterday. A lot of applicants form may/ June are getting updates.I thought they said they would be giving priority to complete applications.

You can either use webform by typing on Google Canadian webform or you can send a mail to these three emails address separately with subject "Urgent". The body of the mail should have your full name according to how it is on your app, uci number, application number and date of birth.. before you start typing your enquiries regarding the delay. The three emails are

Hello All,
I got my study permit application refused today due to:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on your personal assets and financial status.
I ordered my GCMS note already.
Any idea on when to expect my GCMS note?
I will also appreciate any help in tackling the above reasons.
