The equivalent of a private jet in the bible was a chariot. Chariots were the top level mode of transport for Kings and the like. Let us now ask, how many men of God in the bible rode on chariots while doing the work of God? ![]() With all the private jets, which of these 'men of God' has a ministry that has been more fruitful for the kingdom of God than the ministry of Paul, who never rode on a chariot to do work of God? Same Paul that these same 'men of God' are often using just some of his mere letters as bedrocks for preaching the gospel ![]() If you want to have a private jet, you can, but (in my opinion) that it is simply a desire of the flesh (like having a luxury car or fine clothing) and one should not use God as an excuse for it. Much more has been done for the kingdom without private jets nor chariots. |
The level of mumurity of these Trump supporters high pass Everest. The guy she is supporting, the actual target of the stray bullet that killed her husband, doesnt give a fvck about her and her loss. Trump cares more about ranting on social media than consoling the widow of a man who took a bullet that was meant for him. The are willing to die for him but he doesnt care an iota about them. If these people were not whites, I would have swore they were Nigerians ![]() |
lionshare:LGs cannot be financially autonomous as long as they are not generating their own revenue. The only thing that is changing is who is controlling the finances of the LGs, from state governor to presidency ![]() Financial autonomy cannot happen without revenue decentralization. Who ever is paying the piper not all calls the tune, but also dictates the dance steps to go with it. ![]() In a true federal system, revenue is collected at the lower levels and relevant portion contributed upward and towards the center. In Nigeria we are distributing from the center, further ncentralizing finacial dependence, but some mumu are celebrating ![]() |
The constitution is clear that money for all LGAs should be credited through the state government and the manner of distribution of the funds among the LGs in a state is determined by the state assembly. If governors are contravening the constitution, they should be prosecuted for it and if there is an issue with the current constitution, then the legislature should amend the constitution. If governors re not holding LG elections, then make laws to ensure that they do so But it is terribly wrong for the supreme court to ignore the constitution and ascribe to itself the power of the legislature to make laws. Nigerians are now celebrating an illegality, and the next minute same will turn around and lament the state of affairs in the country ![]() |
OkoYibo:e be like say you too like to dey deceive ya sef |
maasoap:and we can also see him for who he truly is - another hypocrite who chooses to open or close his mouth only when it benefits him |
What has Wole Soyinka done for the betterment of Nigeria and/or Nigerians as a whole that has earned him the honour of a national monument being named after him ![]() His one national legacy is the introduction of cultism into our higher institution, a cancer that plagues it till today, but that is nothing to be proud off, and some may even argue he should be held accountable for it. Guess this is his reward for keeping his mouth shut despite all the suffering the current administration has been inflicting on Nigerians. In the past, he was quick to criticize and condemn past administrations for less. But now that his person is in power, he has become mute ![]() Nigeria and our same old paddy-paddy government ![]() |
mrvitalis:How a human with a functional brain can read the above article but cannot follow simple logic to an obvious conclusion is beyond me Forgive me - are you stupid? ![]() |
Philipponzaghi:which law are they upholding when they are actually flouting the constitution which is the supreme law of the land? The high level of 'mumurity' and 'mugunism' of Nigerians ![]() |
franchasofficia:What is commendable about a politicized judiciary, which is controlled by the executive, usurping the role of the legislative branch? ![]() |
lekonso:YES you wait till the law is amended cos that is how the system is supposed to work! If you dont like how quickly the law is being amended, you take it up with your lawmakers. Abi Supreme Court justices are now lawmakers? ![]() So if Supreme court rules that Tinubu (or any other president) should be life president and his/her son should inherit what is left of his term when he/she dies, you go agree? ![]() All these people championing for LG 'autonomy', didnt some of same people also pilfer when they were governors? ![]() If the governors are pilfering LGA funds why havent they been charged to court? Abi what is EFCC meant for? ![]() |
EmeeNaka:The spirit of the law is only important when there is ambiguity and/or ambivalence in the letter of the law but this is not the case. The constitution is clear and any interpretation that contradicts the clear letter of the law is an usurpation of power from the legislature by the supreme court. The judiciary should interpret the law and not make laws. If we are dissatisfied with the current laws, then the constitution and/or laws should be amended by the legislature. In the presidential system of government, there are 3 arms of government with distinct non-overlapping roles, but in the Nigerian version, there is only one arm with two fingers ![]() |
The notion that an elected official or political appointee should be getting a pension is wrong. What service has any of these criminals offered to be rewarded for the rest of their life time ![]() |

Odibembem:executive at Citizens bank ![]() |
garfield1:versatile in what? According to your logic, so if you need a a surgery, you will not look for a medical surgeon, but would prefer someone who has been a tailor, mechanic and carpenter cos he is 'versatile'? ![]() |
garfield1:- Soludo had a PhD in economics - Sanusi had MSc Economics, with almost 25yrs banking experience, including CEO of First Bank - Emefiele had MSc in Finance with 18yrs banking experience including CEO of Zenith - Cardoso has MS Public Administration One can argue which is more relevant between economics and banking to the role of CBN governor, but every other CBN governor had economics and/or banking experience. Yet you think that Cardoso, with his public administration background and no economics and/or banking experience is the most qualified to be CBN governor? ![]() Thinking like yours is why Nigeria is doomed! |
Tareq1105:What has that got to do with anything? ![]() Simple questions: - Where and when did he get his purported PhD in economics? - What was his banking experience before being appointed Chairman of Citibank of Nigeria? FYI Cardoso did not run Citibank (that role belonged to Emeka Emuwa the MD/CEO) but was chairman of the board by virtue of him representing the Estate of F.B. Cardoso which held 30M+ shares (very high among Nigerian holders cos Citigroup held approx 90% but dont appoint the chairman), which made him one of the few (less than 10 people) eligible to be the Chairman. Cardoso was never a banker cos he has no experience in banking operations, but you dont need to be banker to be chairman of the board of a bank. Another example is Hassan-Odukale, current chairman of First Bank He is a pure insurance guy with no banking experience |
sholatech:PhD from where? ![]() What was his banking experience before becoming chairman of Citi? ![]() Nigerians seem to have an irreconcilable separation from truth |
If the student was a male that was much bigger than the lecturer, would he have even dared assault the student physically? ![]() |
FG and CBN approach to managing the Naira is like someone trying to catch rain water with a basket - arrant stupidity ![]() |
Angelfrost:Madrid dodged a bullet with Mbappe. It is impossible to fit him into the same XI with Vinny and remain balanced. What they need is a true #9 like Vlahovic and to revert back to 4-3-3 with Bellingham as the LCM, Valverde as RCM, Tchouameni as DM and Camavinga as LB. |
MayowaTallguy:ignoring injury proneness, it should be Vlahovic and it's not even close |
Ancelotti got it wrong starting Kroos as a DLP in front of defense and playing Tchouameni out of position upfield like an RCM and Bellingham like LCM (made it easier for Gabi to stay close). It was a bad mix of a diamond and a box midfield for Madrid when Kroos was on the pitch Madrid only became effective when Kroos was taken off and players went back to their more natural position - Tchouameni as DM, Jude as AM, and Modric coming on as LCM but with license to roam. Carlo has to learn that the current best XI for Madrid has no place for Modric nor Kroos. Playing other players out of position to force fit those old war horses has been the problem since last year. Alaba, Rudiger, Carvahal, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, Bellingham, and Vinicius - should be the first names on the sheet. Only question should be which two of Mendy, Rodrygo and Joselu should be added. Kroos and Modric should be subs unless injury and/or suspension necessitate otherwise |
Is there any chance that the sun will rise from the west? ![]() |
With exchange rate at $1:N1200+ in less than 6 months in office, he has exceeded the even the worst expectation anyone had of him ![]() |
If Eleyii claims that he is 2nd worst governor ever in Nigeria, nobody dares to claim to be 1st!!! If you dream that your governor is worse than Eleyii, you should wake up and apologize!!! |
God1000:Consent does not exclude rape e.g. consensual sex with a minor is still statutory rape. The consent needs to be valid to be mitigating. In this case, the argument is that the lady was vulnerable and thus the consent is not necessarily tenable. It is similar to lecturer's having 'consensual' sex with student - the consent is questionable |
Stupidity is becoming endemic in Nigeria. How did saving N49 become crashing the price to N49? ![]() E15 (15% Ethanol) is the maximum concentration allowed for most cars. So even if the Ethanol is free, the max benefit is to reduce the fuel cost by 15% e.g. from N600 to N510. To get it to N49, you will have to be running your car on pure Ethanol and have excess supply of Ethanol. |
How many curses has the Oba placed on the politicians that have been looting the commonwealth of his people? ![]() Very stupid Oba!!! |
