PoliticsRe: Welcoming Ceremony For President Jonathan In China (Pictures) by Billionaires: 4:38pm On Jul 10, 2013
christ4mi: President Goodluck Jonathan Jamboree Travel roster to China:

The President, the first lady, 15 ministers, 46 presidential aids, aids, 18 first lady aids, 12 senior advisers to the president, 8 state governors, 21 Nigerian captain of industries, 6 military chiefs, 10 senators, 8 house of assembly members and the president security detail.

My question is, do we need all these contingents to visit china? The president keep talking of cutting down funds and entourages on his foreign trips, but this trip does not show any sign of that. I wonder what all this contingents will be doing in china. What will Abia state governor be doing in China or what will Bamanga Tukur, PDP chairman will be doing In China? Is this another form of vacation for the boys or just presidential recklessness.

Maybe the; the $3 billion loan from china will be giving in cash and more hands are needed to carry the "Ghana must go bags" or they want to start sharing the money from china. I am not against the presidential visit to China, because China is a strategic country in the world and as a growing economy as Nigeria is, therefore we need to pally with China. My only fears and hope is this trip will not turn around and become another jamboree trip as the others became. Another question is, will the $3 billion loan collected be used for what it's meant for? To me, Nigeria Infrastructure problems are bigger than $3 billion and the said amount will not fix Nigerians infrastructure deficit. Nigeria's infrastructure deficits needs over $200 Billion and $3 billion dollars is just a drop of water in an ocean. Therefore, all signs shows that this collected loan of $3 billion will be wasted as the others.

God help Nigeria.
You dont know what $3b is at 3% APR. Obviously you havent taken a bank loan before. It is almost like free capital. If it takes moving 170 million people to China to get this deal signed, I will not hesitate to trek to China. We the progressives are satisfied.
PoliticsRe: Welcoming Ceremony For President Jonathan In China (Pictures) by Billionaires: 4:10pm On Jul 10, 2013
Deal of $3b at 3% is not a joke. With $1.1b signed now then we are going to see great success in the Aviation, Oil/Gas and Infrastructural development. $1.7b in road construction by Chinese firms is a testimony to chinese that we are with them in their rise to world power, not some mumbo jumbo old power who monitor people's IP under PRISM nonsensical schemes, This is the biggest milestone in the Sino-Nigeria relationship.

Everything is going as planned. Now Amaechi has a lot more in his hands to handle in Rivers State, then he will steer clear Federal Affairs and NGF. Meanwhile, Congratulations to the New Speaker Hon Bipi, we at PDP believe you will carry the people of Rivers State along in your dispositions, the 5 'non-suspended' members can move over to Plan B. congratulations once again Hon Bipi.
PoliticsRe: Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria's Strictest Leader by Billionaires: 12:43pm On Jul 10, 2013
Yes, Buhari was a STRICT LEADER: The Title "Leader" reminds me of Gaddafi, it also reminds me of Yassar Arafat, it reminds me of Assad, It reminds me of Saddam Hussein, it reminds me of Mubarak, it reminds me of Abacha and it also reminds me of General Buhari who took over power from A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT OF SHAGARI.

The Generation of LEADER(ship) is FAR GONE and BURIED. Buhari's credentials as a semi-educated, Boko Haram supporting, Hausa accented, and endemically Islamic personae CAN NOT and WILL NOT move Nigeria AN INCH towards 21 CENTURY IDEALISM.

Only the kids of 1990s who have zero knowledge of the Military Era but with shallow knowledge read from internet will welcome this man called Buhari.

I remember this man, sending his soldiers into the market and forcing traders to sell their Garri and rice below the cost price while he lives in Dodan Barracks palatial mansions with a widening tooth-gap smiling like a palmwine tapper who just caught a bee in his calabash.

Join the FRESH AIR CREW for a FRESHER NIGERIA, WHERE THE YOUTH CAN BECOME LEADERS, NOT A COUNTRY WHERE THE AGED WILL NOT GIVE CHANCE TO THE FRESH GENERATION.

Sorry about the hurt in your soul. Like I always say, Politics is not a game of emotion, you work with emotion and you are guaranteed to die young in this game. Politics is not perfect worldwide, but lets always analyze issues based on by-laws and constitution, because at the end of the day, thats what we swore to abide by. All animals are not equal. Amaechi has been running around acting like Olympus of Rivers State politics. Always remember, money alone can not buy you class, Amaechi will go down in history as a common miscreant, mark my words. Tell me how he can succeed with too many enemies, he is not in same wavelength with Rivers PDP, he is not in same wavelength with the Rulers, he believes that having a hold on majority in the House of Assembly is what can save him. That's arrant nonsense.

fkaz: This bad belle go wound you
Bad belle for what naw ? Am not from Rivers State but my relatives are there and I am concerned that the Governor of Rivers State is not doing enough to maintain peace in that state. Instead he is busy factionalizing every state apparatus and wedging wars that he can not win. I need Amaechi to withdraw from the NGF and apologize to the persons he has hurt, then sit back and manage his state, cos I need my siblings to feel safe in that once great state.

Abagworo: Keep dreaming. Are you aware that there are people far more powerful than Jonathan in Nigeria and the world? Do you know if Obama is backing Amaechi? This could be the begining of the end of Nigeria's democracy.
No, Jonathan is the most powerful and most important person in Nigeria now, He is the Number One Citizen! Amaechi is just one of the 36 state governors, a recalcitrant one.

Am sure u are not versed with the facts of this situation. Commenting sentimentally isnt good. you may sway some people with this ur illogical comment. Get information about this issue before you comment.
passionup:
I have zero time for sentiments, Amaechi's Jurisdiction is Rivers State. Not NGF, not Abuja . By allowing himself too much time with the NGF affairs and his hatred for his President, he had too much to carry and was distracted from his primary assignment. Tell me, is it the job of a governor to proceed to State Assembly to quell a fracas. No, its not.

The fact remains that Rivers State is in fracas, because Amaechi chose a war he can not win. He, needs to read the '48 Laws of Power' and ' Mafia Manager'. I doubt if Amaechi is 'properly' educated.

You allow emotion to take away your power of reading and reasoning. Go back and read my post before responding to Billyonaire. I stated that Amaaechi disobeyed PDP leadership of his state. Thanks for exposing your emotional imbalance to the world, now your friends on Nairaland know you have a personality disorder.

abes: An elected official is different from an appointed official. The Governor and the Lawmakers are ELECTED officials, they all still remain elected officials even if they are suspended by their party. Show me the Nigerian constitution to prove otherwise.
Ofcourse, they were elected under PDP, and PDP has 'suspended' them from the Party, they are no more functioning in PDP, no more functioning as representatives of the PDP and the People. PDP can even 'maneuver' their wards to withdraw them. Amaechi is losing it.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo: I Made ‘Successful’ Mistakes As President by Billionaires: 10:37am On Jul 10, 2013
Shutting down PH Airport for years and allowing only Lagos Airport was a successful mistake.

Shutting down Calabar EPZ and keep Apapa wharf was Successful mistake.

Building Gas Plant at Ondo where there is no gas instead of building at Bonny where there is Gas was successful mistake

Holding Lagos State Allocation for 1 yr which finally ended up in Tinubu's account at a single deposit was a great successful mistake.

Leading the last squad that decimated millions of biafrans during the civil was a successful mistake

Pursuing Mike Adenuga out of the country after cancelling his $2m worth of OPL and receiving his 250 million during a Presidential Library launch was a successful mistake.

Choice of sick Yaradua and 'potentially controllable GEJ, who by the way prove he is a man of himself' was a successful which gives me a smile.

Giving out Bakassi to Cameroun without a single gun shot was another successful mistake

OHBEEJAH, you are a successful mistake Nigeria ever made.
PoliticsRe: Chinese Firm To Run 4 Nigerian Airports by Billionaires: 10:16am On Jul 10, 2013
I support this 100%, Chinese can manage just 4 of them as a model for us to emulate, When shoprite entered Lekki, it redefined shopping and entertainment, now we need Airport Management models, we can sack the Chinese after 10yrs, its called learning by induction. No unpatrioticism there.

Lawalkay: I watched the suppose new speaker on tv addressing the press yesterday. I cry for my country where five pass twenty five. Where sixteen is greater than nineteen. Please God save this nation from pdp as you deliver israelite from pharaoh and forget not that our prayer on Abacha was answered bty you. Let every eyes that see this post say Amen.
That is what happens when a Governor can not manage his own state, he stubbornly disobeyed the PDP leadership in his state and was suspended alongside some state house of assembly members. So, apparently, PDP can not help him with this. He can no longer manage his own state but he is thinking about managing Abuja. This is just a prove that pride goes before a fall. I can assure you, that since PDP suspended the other members, those 5 can legitimately impeach the government, cos I am very sure that the impeachment must have been communicated to the State chapter of PDP before it was authorized and the court will always respect the decision of the PDP State Chapter. Amaechi needs to kneel down and beg, cos he made so many strategic enemies, from his own cousin he uprooted to his former allies. Pride goes, fall comes! Hahahahahahaha
PoliticsRe: Massive Protest At The Rivers State House Of Assembly. by Billionaires: 10:01am On Jul 10, 2013
State of Emergency should be imposed on Rivers State and Amaechi sacked immediately.

The military should take over for the sake of peace while EFCC investigates Amaechi and Representatives, all of them.
PoliticsRe: All Progressive Congress (APC) Nairaland Chapter by Billionaires: 9:54am On Jul 10, 2013
APC is PDP's Refusebin, we all know that and we keep quiet and allow these mafioso to conglomerate with their 'no manifesto' ideology. I expect an opposition that is a clean break from the PDP, but that opposition is not APC, it is yet to come cos the worst of PDP and ejaculated arrogant personalities of other parties aggrieved by a biased sharing formula almost always get a standing ovation when they meander into the alliances of APC. Which makes APC worst that ceasepit. What can a party whose founding members are publicly known coup'e plotters and fraudulent acquirers do for the common Nigerians on the street ? The answer is nothing. I have no single sleepless moments, cos I know APC as a party will go the same way that APC the aspirin went.

You are funny OP, it is called Politics. You do not have to lose hope in your country, except you are a coward. Until people like you pick up that form, register in a political party and get elected to serve gentlemanly, then politics will keep staying the way it is, cos only the strong minded vie for position why the intelligent cowards like Wole Soyinka, keep talking and talking. Talk is cheap.
PoliticsRe: Rivers State Assembly Crises - The Complete Videos by Billionaires: 11:37pm On Jul 09, 2013
Akainzo: Which of the rules?
That where 5 are gathered together they can decide for 27 others?

A simple analysis: Based on the speech of the "new Speaker"
a. He suspended 15 lawmakers
b. Implies he had maximum 27 - 15 = 12 lawmakers with him
c. 12 is not 2/3 of 27, neither is it 2/3 of 32
d. 12 does not even form a quorum as it is short of 1/2 of 27

So which of the rules did they follow?
You have forgotten that PDP had suspended Governor Amaechi alongside many reps. So constitutionally those suspended are not qualified to be in the house. Those 5 can even impeach the Governor, if they chose to.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan May Skip Party’s Primaries In 2015 Race by Billionaires: 4:57pm On Jul 09, 2013
Why do we need primaries when we already know who can win election for us ?

The objective of Primaries is to ascertain which candidate is more popular within the Party and as I type this, there is no other candidate that can win 2015 for us in PDP than Jonathan Ebele Goodluck Azikiwe (JEGA).

Distance between Nigeria and Togo is 131.57 nautical miles. Why would a bank waste money on flight instead of the excellent Ecowas Road, although in a deplorable state at the Lagos end, its a breeze from the border ? The complain should be about not using excellent corporate vehicles.

The OP takes flight as a big deal but forgets the cost implication for such a short distance.
