Debate: PMB , Atiku’s Absence, A Slap On Nigerians – Olawepo-Hashim

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has described the failure of President Mohammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to appear at a presidential debate recently held Abuja , amounted to contempt of the electorate.

Olawepo-Hashim, maintained that Nigerian electorate deserve to scrutinize the candidates and programmes of the “two behemoth that have come to be known as the two evils of Nigerian politics”.

He disclosed further that their absence under whatever excuse(s) shows their contempt for the electorate.

The PT presidential candidate who said , it is fundamental not to allow the candidates of All Progressives Congress( APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) escape public scrutiny which a debate symbolizes, urged the NEDG/ BON to immediately set up a new debate featuring his party and the two big parties.

Olawepo-Hashim, whose party is also known as the Third Force, said that he was volunteering to enter into a debate with the APC and PDP candidates at any location of their choice.

While praising the three candidates who appeared at the debate, Olawepo- Hashim noted that, they gave good accounts of themselves.

According to Mr. Hashim, “Nigerian electorate deserve to scrutinize the candidates and programmes of the two behemoth that have come to be known as the “two evils of Nigerian politics. Their absence under whatever excuse(s) shows their contempt for the electorates.

The PT presidential candidate, however, congratulated the candidates of the ACPN, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili; YPP, Mr. Kinsley Moghalu and ANN, Mr. Fela Durotoye for “their brilliant performance at the debate.

“The three candidates advertised to the world, a teaser of what stuff new generation of political leaders are made off.

“We have complained about this in the past, a new debate will be a good way to cure the debate platform of that error. There is no problem in making a mistake by excluding us, but it will be dishonourable not to seize a good opportunity to correct your error.”

The PT presidential candidate further called on the organizers to also include promising candidates like Omoyele Sowore and others who may be interested in the next round of the debate.

According to him, it is fundamental not to allow the APC and PDP escape public scrutiny which a debate symbolizes.

Olawepo-Hashim added that it will not even matter if the APC is represented at the proposed debate by another person other than the President Buhari, whom he said may be afraid of public scrutiny due to his obvious display of lack of presence of mind in recent public outings.

“We are persuaded now that we can excuse Mr. Buhari; all we want is to scrutinize APC’s record at a proper presidential debate. Nigerians have a right to that debate,” Olawepo-Hashim said.

Lol, and he finaly use his second moniker... Guess wat, it's suicidal in ondo state where sowore is from and enjoys so much support from there... Even analyst has said lagos, Benin, delta, ogun especially ondo is sowore stronghold... Wake up... We don't hold such stupid rallies because those who will come to the rallies are those who we know already, will vote for us and we can't waste people's money (our campaign is 100% peoples funded) to pay people 1k, 2k to come for one stupid rally wen we always can send across our message by visiting them in smaller groups, thereby getting closer to the electortaes and getting new voters in all corners of the federation at the same time.... Before i forget, how many days does it take for Hashim to join pt and become their presidential candidate, they must have been so popular nobody deem them strong enough to use their platform...
As you have been told, come to Akure on thursday and make sure you come with your analysts.

Please don't compare him to sowore at all, them no dey the same category at all, even him too agress that sowore has a wider reach than him by far... The only reason u seems to know him is because one person on nairaland, using 2 moniker is always publishing on his blog about him and posting on NL and somehow, the mods are pushing it to front page, every day, go back and read threads about him, alot of people on NL even think he pays seu.n for the publicity... These people ain't serious, they don't go around to campaign, they sit in Abuja or lagos, going to only interviews and waiting for people to endorse them... Sowore on the other hand seems like he has strength of that of a bull, campaigning every single day, if not that the NTA interview (or debate, whatever they call it) that he will do on Wednesday, he will be in gombe by now... He is nit looking for any prominent person to endorse him, the endorsement he want is from Nigerians, anybody endorsing has only 1 vote. Like the people endorsing Hashim here, if he gers 1 million votes in whole of Nigeria, he tried... They just doing their self intentionally or looking for appointments. The only person who has shown that he is serious is sowore
Sowore doesn't have 1/10 reach of Hashim.

Come to Akure on Thursday to see the best of rally. Stop deceiving yourself that Sowore is anywhere near Hashim in terms of spread, he is not close.

Enjoy yourself

Full statement

PRESS STATEMENT BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL ON ATIKU’S CLANDESTINE VISIT TO THE U.S

In our press release issued on Sunday, December 30, 2018, titled “WHEN THE THIEF IS SHOUTING THIEF”: THE CASE OF ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR”, we correctly predicted as follows: “By running for President of Nigeria, Atiku intends to get some immunity from prosecution. Already he is hoping to obtain a visa to visit the US, as a guest of the State department, a concession that the US will grant to a Presidential candidate of Africa’s biggest Nation”.

Therefore, we were not surprised by his visit to the U.S. For us, this visit is really a non-event considering the issues involved in the forthcoming election. However, we have bad news for those who think this is a momentous event for Atiku Abubakar: the visit was nothing but a downright catastrophe because rather than dispel the fact of indictments hanging over his head, it further confirms and reinforces those facts for the following reasons:

(1) The visit had all the trappings of a fugitive sneaking into America under a “special diplomatic waiver”. For the candidate of the major opposition party in Nigeria, it is an absolute disaster that the visit was not announced ahead of time in Nigeria, with his programmes and itinerary clearly spelt out, the decent and customary minimum standard of such visits. This culminated in his close aides issuing conflicting statements about the visit when he was already on his way there. In fact, one of them called Paul Ibe actually spoke to the Press that his principal was nowhere near America! Such was the secrecy of the planning and execution of that visit.

(2) It is shameful that a presidential candidate of a major opposition party in Africa’s most populous country would visit America, and the international press was kept in the dark: There was NO SINGLE press conference with the array of international media and correspondents required for such ‘high-profile’ visit. Atiku knows he has no moral stamina to withstand the avalanche of hard questions bordering on his sordid past in America. In fact, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claims he visited the Voice of America (VOA) but only did two carefully-packaged interviews with the Hausa service and the English to Africa program - platforms that have always been available to him back home. How strange! In fact, both the Twitter handle (@VOANews) and official website of VOA did not mention any such visit of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to their station. For news hounds, you would agree with us that such an ‘important personality’ cannot walk into a news premises without reporters swooping on him. Whatever he went to do in the premises of the VOA must have been a carefully-arranged private visit for the photo-ops, which was intended to scam Nigerians. What more evidence do we need of a “sneak-in-sneak-out” arrangement than this?.

(3) For a candidate who claims he wants to “get Nigeria working again” (a meaningless phrase) to sneak into America without meeting major players in private businesses is a curiosity and an indication that we are dealing with a candidate with a dodgy and questionable character. He claims he went to the U.S Chamber of Commerce, which is supposed to be a business federation. Again, the Twitter handle (@USChamber) and the website of the organization make no mention of the visit of such an ‘important personality’ to them. Maybe their famous American lobbyist on a salary of N9million per month can help them ‘do something’ about this after this press statement.

(4) It is also an anomaly that the candidate of the major opposition party in Nigeria sneaked into America and did not meet large sections of political leaders of similar ideologies and persuasions towards which he claims to be inclined. For all his claim to be going to America to meet “U.S Government officials”, he only succeeded in meeting a certain “Congressman Smith”, who is the equivalent of a member of the House of Representatives in Nigeria. You would agree with us that as dignified and respected as the office of a Member of the House of Representatives is, an important personality cannot come to Nigeria on an official visit and claim he has met the “Nigerian government officials” after he pays a private visit to that Member. For all we know, the Congressman Smith may just be a private friend of Dr. Bukola Saraki or Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. That reminds us of Atiku’s famous legislator friend he threw under the bus, Williams Jefferson, who taught us how to hide laundered money ( which was meant for Atiku Abubakar) in the deep freezer when the cops came knocking on his door!

In all, it is very obvious now that the so-called American trip was a desperate trip for photo-ops. Throughout the trip, Atiku Abubakar looked cagey, frightened and on edge. We note the close support always provided by Senate President Bukola Saraki like a comforting guardian angel. The visit and arrangements smack of things local yahoo yahoo boys do to scam their victims. It is utterly disgusting and puerile that it has been brought into a serious political contest.

Rather than being the highpoint of his campaign, the American visit is indeed the lowest watermark of Atiku Abubakar’s campaign. It was a political and P.R disaster. The statements he released from there only to the Nigerian Press back home that he intends to alienate other countries and do business with the U.S is actually the antithesis to our policy of non-alignment.

For the information of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his handlers, Nigerians know that Nigeria is already working again for everyone and not for a few. As confirmed by him in a town-hall meeting a few days before his disastrous trip to the U.S, he said he wants to “get Nigeria working again” only for few of his friends who he claims he wants to make rich. If he cannot get them rich now from his private businesses, it is obvious that he is referring to the use of public funds to make his friends rich. Nigerians should judge for themselves whether this is the type of President they want.

Finally, whoever advised Atiku Abubakar to undertake that trip to America just destroyed his entire campaign and exposed him for who he is – a questionable character who has continued to leave huge questions over his suitability for the highest office of the land and as such cannot be trusted by the Nigerian people.

Thank you.

#WhatiF: PDP and APC loss 2019 Presidential Election?

As the Nigeria’s 2019 general election draws nearer, the 3rd force movement in the giant of Africa is gearing up to end the reign of the two discredited major political parties. In 2015, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) defeated the former ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and majority of the citizens of Nigeria are now unhappy with both parties, leading to the momentum of a 3rd force movement strongly challenging for the presidency.

Considering the increasing momentum of the 3rd force movement, #WhatiF PDP and APC loss Presidential Election in 2019?

Lol. No be fight. I just needed to enlighten people who don't understand why empty and concocted stories about Hashim (always authored by any of your 2 monikers, mrrights and bilms) makes front page all the time. They have a right to know.

I'm not for any party per se. I'm for truth, justice and equity - ideals which Buhari consistently rubbishes and hides his pretences behind a facade of a frail figure and a supposed integrity.

I know Hashim knows he's not winning and is only secretly working for APC for maybe a ministerial reward later (that's why APC minions here like Greenland and provide comment support sometimes). Sometimes, to try to get your page to page 2, you cook some anti-PDP story in Kwara State to get bmc crews here interested and comment.

How do I know these things? I'm vastly experienced in this line and quickly read between the lines.

Now answer these questions directly and honestly:

1. Aren't you paying to get these stories to FP?

2. Are you doing it for free?

3. Why are you (with your 2 monikers, bilms and mrrrights) the only person on Nairaland posting stories on Hashim? Show me another moniker that has posted his story on Nairaland.

4. Show me any other posts you comment on. Even you don't believe in Hashim, going by your horribly poor job for him. It's just business for you. He's paid you advance. You're waiting for balance after showing him your posts.
Eeya, one of the problem in Nigeria is that the most ignorant people often pose as the knowledgeable people.

They speak with so much confidence as if they know anything, but in fact, they know nothing.

Everything they say is only a mere imagination, but they say it with so much confidence. It's called confidence in ignorance.

Who waste time responding to questions from such fellow? Lol...

Oga, park well. Tell your failed pdp that the 3rd Force is here to stay. There's nothing you can do to stop this movement.

For us, 2019 victory is unstoppable.

If you are too blind to see this, how can i help you brother? PDP's dirty ways is not our way.

A popular Yoruba saying goes thus, you can wake someone asleep, not someone pretending to be sleeping.

Anyone who read your comment may assume you know what you are saying, not knowing it's false and none existent.

Hashim has warm his way to the heart of millions of people and today, everyone can see that there's is a real alternative in the country.

No, the front page is bought because it is not news-worthy. mrrrights (he also uses the moniker, bilmms) cooks up different story about Hashim and pays Seun to post in on front page like an advert or advertorial.

It's just business for Seun and mrrrights (He got the contract for Nairaland from Hashim). He's being paid by Hashim. That's why the the pages hardly goes beyond page 1 becos its not real nees. mrrights is doing a shabby, sloppy work with no effect whatsover. He probably got the job based on long leg as he doesn't know digital branding well and is not experienced.
He can't even write or spell well. Even his website (www.mrrights.com) is wack. You'll see his picture there. He's a small boy.
PDP is not an alternative to APC

They will fail miserably.

All your campaign to discredit Hashim is not working, concocting falsehood will not take you anywhere either.
