boringnigerian:ANN is a serious party, but as you can see, the unserious APC is trying everything possible to hijack it. Fortunately for us, we have a solid base that will always protect the integrity of the party. ANN is the difference |
cbrass:Do you still have any shame left? Oh, I remember, Dania is the church pastor of Hashim. This is the falsehood you came to sell the other day, when in fact, you and Dania are already planning to do the job you were paid for . Sorry, this has failed. Go and meet your pay master and demand for more money. The person you are up against is far beyond your capacity. |

ANN Crisis Deepens As Nec Members Declare Factional Presidential Primaries Null …I REMAIN COMMITTED TO ANN- OLAWEPO-HASHIM By Nseobong Okon-Ekong A new twist was introduced to the mounting crisis that has engulfed the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) as the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party declared the purported presidential primary by a factional as null and void. The primary held on Saturday at the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja produced Mr. Fela Durotoye as presidential candidate with 240 votes, while Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim who had earlier publicised his withdrawal from the primary supposedly scored seven votes. In a quick reaction, members of the NEC of the party disassociated themselves from the exercise by a faction of the party led by the National Chairman, Emmanuel Dania, saying it was against the party’s constitution. They postponed the presidential primaries of the party to Wednesday next week. The party’s NEC members at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday said that the guidelines for the National Convention of the party must first be ratified by the NEC before the convention can hold. They said that a meeting of NEC to ratify the guidelines would hold Saturday night, while the convention proper would hold on October 3. Olawepo- Hashim, who also spoke at the press briefing on Saturday said that he remained on course to clinch the party’s presidential slot, adding that some relics of the defeated Abacha dictatorship were threatening to hijack the ANN. According to him, he and the party leaders would not abandon the structure of the party to the desperate elements whom he said are working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He said: “I am in the race. I have only pulled out of the hurried convention of the ANN fixed for today, Saturday, purportedly to elect the presidential candidate. I am still in the race for 2019 by the special grace of God.” Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Yunusa, who spoke at the event noted, “The party believes in doing things right in line with the party constitution and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. NEC will hold to determine the date of the convention, adding that NEC members and 19state chairmen have already aligned with this decision.” Kogi State Chairman, Hon. Sunday, who spoke on behalf of the 19 state chairmen and the NEC members, said: “The chairmen believe in following the constitution of the party. He also said that the guidelines for the convention were yet to be ratified, while logistics issues were also not sorted out. In view of that the chairmen have resolved to hold a NEC meeting late Saturday evening to ratify the guideline and also fix the convention for Wednesday October 3.” Contacted on phone, Dania said it was regrettable that Olawepo-Hashim who he described as one of the valued leader of the party would seek to destroy that house that he built. According to him, “we have tried to appeal to him and work with us. Since he has refused, we have to forge ahead. I promised to deliver a party that is totally different from what we had in the past. That is what we are trying to do. We have been battling with a lot of logistics problems, that is why we did not take part in the elections in Ekiti and Osun states. Our focus is on the 2019 general elections and we get it right to offer Nigerians a credible alternative to the APC and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).” Some of the issues said to justify the postponement of the ANN Presidential Primaries to Wednesday, October 3 include the adoption of a credible list of delegates to be authenticated by chairmen and secretaries of each state, and the decision on the states who have held congresses and who are still omitted in the list of delegates, such as Kano and Katsina among others. The others are decision on the status of women and youths of states who were excluded in the delegates’ lists, and the decision of the states that have not yet conducted their congresses, but are legally constituted, such as Abia, Adamawa and Gombe. Some of the leaders of the party who were at the press conference included the former Chairman, Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels, Mr. Olawepo-Hashim, National Secretary, Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Tijanni Isa, Alhaji Sahid Umar, National Organising Secretary and Hon. Makanjuola Ogundipe. They jointly reinstated the determination of the party to truly remain a new platform for the revival of Nigeria. They therefore vowed to resist “the infiltration of desperate boy scouts and neophytes benefiting from diverted public funds.” Pursuant to the more proper convention, the state chairmen are to hold a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting Saturday evening to comply with “procedures and in the interest of laying a good foundation for party processes and programmes.” https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/09/29/ann-crisis-deepens-as-nec-members-declare-factional-presidential-primaries-null-and-void/ |
bolayun:I agree with you 100% |
Yankee101:Anyhow he like, make he do |
Truthtoday:Please, can you read what you wrote again and make some senses from it? You claimed in the same post that Olawepo Hashim withdraw before the primary, then you claimed that he got 3 votes. How can someone who withdrew from a process get votes? Why didn't you just announce your winner since the other aspirant didn't participate in your process? That's fraud. It's fraudulent to invoke the name of someone who didn't participate in your process and ascribe imaginary vote to him. Secondly, there are 36 states in Nigeria, 774 local governments and you claimed that Fela got 240 votes. Oya tell us, how many delegates came from each g state and who are the delegates? All over, even in the so called corrupt parties, party excos across all wards, local governments and states are usually the delegates and they are in thousands. How come your so called winner only had 240 votes. His he contesting for a local government chairman? Let us assume you cant have all ward excos and assuming 3 delegates are chosen from each local government, that would be 2100 delegates. So, how can someone have just 240 votes out of a total 2100 in a national convention? Even if 2 delegates were chosen from each local government, that would still be over 1400 delegates. So, how did your so called aspirant have 240 votes out of a possible 1400? Even if it's just one delegate per local government, that's still 774. So, how did your so called aspirant got 240 votes out of a possible 774? Even to the blind, this cannot stand. Again, oya tell us, since you said Hashim withdrew from the convention, why was his named featured in it? Why did you mention the name of someone who didn't participate in your process? Meanwhile, legitimate process is being followed. Retrace your step and seek for forgiveness |
koolbe:Please, who is Fela? |
ANN suspend National Chairman, fixes Wednesday for presidential primary https://mrrightsng..com/2018/09/ann-suspend-national-chairman-fixes.html?m=1 The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) has dismissed as dubious, the National Convention of the party, held in Abuja September 29, to elect the party’s presidential candidate. The party said after a meeting at the Bon Hotel Stratton that the convention for the election of a presidential candidate has only just been fixed for Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at a venue to be announced shortly in Abuja” The leaders called on “ANN members and the public to either ignore anyone parading him or herself as its presidential aspirant, or at best, be regarded as a jester” For the records, the National Executive Committee (NEC) said in the statement that the so-called Abuja 29th September convention was invalid because it did not comply with the Section 3, Sub-Section B (i) of the ANN Constitution. The section states, “that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party shall convene the National Convention and appoint a Convention Organising Committee, which shall circulate Convention information in advance and ensure that the concerns of the membership are reflected in the Agenda”. Rather than this happening, they went further: “the hurried convention was convened solely by Mr. Emma Dania and his cahoots working for the APC” Aside the above, Section 3(a) of Part VII of the ANN Constitution also states that “the quorum of the National Convention shall be two-third of the its membership and a simple majority shall pass any motion. “Regardless, the so-called Abuja convention, which was hurriedly put together to satisfy the desires of infiltrators, recorded only 247 attendance, out of the 1,600 delegates expected at the party’s convention” It added that Section 29 (i) in Part IX of the ANN Constitution states that “The National Executive Committee shall, subject to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act (as amended) and this constitution, formulate guidelines and regulations for the nomination of candidates for election into public offices at all levels” Even so, it stressed that none of these provisions was adhered to, as no guidelines were formulated. “This is such a fundamental flaw as to render any exercise purporting to be presidential primaries to be nugatory. NEC has just recently approved guidelines for the primaries pursuant to the Wednesday October 3 convention. “The absence of NEC approved guidelines for the so-called September 29 convention makes it invalid, and of no effect. The purported convention was hastily done to satisfy a premeditated objective. This is unacceptable! “The arrangements for the Presidential Primaries have not been published so that everyone will be fully informed. The so-called convention was also prepared without the adoption of a credible list of delegates to be authenticated by chairmen and secretaries of each state chapter. “Decision was also not taken on the status of delegates from Kano and Katsina, etc. The party was as well yet to take a decision on the status of women and youth leaders, who the Emma Dania faction has been trying to exclude from the National Convention. “In addition, there was no decision on the states that have not yet conducted their congresses, but are legally constituted, such as Abia, Adamawa, Gombe, etc. Besides, NEC did not take a decision on who was to conduct the Primaries, including Accreditation of delegates, Screening of Aspirants, etc. “Because of these grave flaws, the NEC of the party, comprising twenty of the twenty-six state chairmen, National Working Committee Members, other elected National officers and some members of the Board of Trustees, sitting at an extra-ordinary meeting Saturday August 29, resolved that “That Emma Dania is suspended forthwith as National Chairman of the party for grossly violating provisions of the party’s constitution, for engaging in anti-party activities and for the unpatriotic act of permitting the infiltration of the party by agents of the ruling party, and “That Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels, the pioneer chairman of ANN, who steered the party from infancy to its present enviable state, be immediately reinstated as National Chairman” “It also resolved that the party’s proper National Convention for the election of its presidential candidate be held in Abuja, Wednesday October 3, 2018” The NEC members concluded: “We want to assure our teeming members all over the country and Nigerians at large, that the ANN leadership, as led by Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels and his team of democrats and patriotic Nigerians constituted in the NEC of ANN will not let Nigerian down on our promise of building a new Nigeria, where integrity, excellence and transparency will be the core values of politics and governance. ANN will continue to repel activities of fifth columnists. We are prepared” |

How can only 3 states elect someone a candidate? The remaining states are with Hashim and they are holding the authentic primary on Wednesday. This boys scout aspirant thinks everyone is as dull |
FarahAideed:It was insinuated before without evidence. But evidence is out now. |
How APC deployed N1.3Billion hush money to stop Hashim, as Fela Durotoye got N750milion to split ANN It has been exclusively gathered that All Progressive Congress (APC) has infiltrated Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) with the aim of stopping Global Business man and frontline presidential aspirant, Mr. Olawepo Hashim. Olawepo Hashim who promised to create a $4Trillion economy for Nigeria is seen as a major threat by the rulling party, after the eloquent politician secure endorsement from middle belt leaders and generals led by TY Danjuma. A source close to the party revealed that, after Hashim got the nod of the middle belt generals last week, the rulling APC felt gittery and moved in quickly to halt his progress. Information emerged, on how an alleged N1.3billion hush money was deployed by All Progressive Congress (APC) through office of Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to split Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) on the eve of it's presidential primary, leading to the postponement of the party's convention. Investigation reveals that, the APC allegedly coordinated the infiltration of ANN, with the hush money to buy off the party through an attempted imposition of one of the lily livered presidential aspirant, Fela Durotoye who will later step down for the rulling APC. The redeemed church and son of pastor Adeboye also played some part. It was alleged that, the APC brought in N1billion few weeks to the presidenrial primary, among which N250million was given to the party's chairman, Pastor Dania Emmanuel, a redeemed church pastor and N750million given to Fela Durotoye. The remaining N300million was shared with others who subscribe to the evil plot. Immediately after receiving the money, Fela started approaching party officials at state level, giving them huge sums of money and promising to buy vehicles for a number of them. While Fela was busy deceiving his online followers by asking them to donate their hard earmed money to his campaign, he on the other hand received N750 million from the ruling party to compromise ANN's constitution. The impression given to the Vice president's office and APC was that, with money, ANN could be bought and the leading aspirant, Olawepo Hashim could be stopped. However, when it was clear that Durotoye doesn't have any clout to win a presidential primary against a formidable Hashim, no matter how much was spent, plan B was activated, using the office of the chairman to perpetrate illegality against the party's constitution, an illegality already countered by the party. The ANN constitution provides that, atleast 7 days before the primary election, list of delegates and primary modalities shall be made public. However, the chairman refused to do so as stipulated by the constitution. The ANN constitution also provide that, the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) will have to ratify the delegate list and modalities, but the chairman had also refused to convene the NEC meeting for this ratification. The question then arise, how can a party hold primary election without the aspirants knowing the modalities or the delegates? Seeing that the laid down procedure of the party has been breached, Olawepo Hashim in a letter to the chairman pulled out of the iĺlegal primary, until the identified breaches are corrected. While Fela and the party chairman are determined to do the job they were paid for, only 3 state party chairmen attended their kangaroo convention, where Fela was allegedly adopted as the party's candidate. The remaining chairmen across the federation pitched their tent with the party's constitution. More than 19 state chairmen on Saturday held a press conference to denounce the illegality and fixed Wednesday, 3rd October as the date for presidential primary election. Further investigation shows that, the chairman of the party, Pastor Dania Emmanuel is currently embroiled in serious problem with his bank accounts and all his bank accounts remained inaccessible. According to findings, the bank verification number (bvn) has put Dania integrity into further question. It was gathered that, Dania operated different accounts with different names and date of births. This led to shutting his account by banks. Even the party's account cannot be signed by him because he has a contradictory date of birth. The state chairmen and other national executives of the party, including former chairman and current board of trustee chairman, Dr Jay Samuel have fixed Wednesday, 3rd October 2018 for the party's presidential primary election, as they hold NEC meeting on Saturday night. https://mrrightsng..com/2018/09/exclusive-report-how-apc-deployed.html?m=1 |
ANN SPLITS, AS NINETEEN PARTY CHAIRMEN FIX WEDNESDAY FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY, CONVENTION “I AM STILL IN THE RACE ON ANN TICKET” Olawepo-Hashim The controversial convention of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) supposedly fixed for today, Saturday, may have failed with the withdrawal of nineteen out of the twenty- six state chapters of the political party, while the majority chairmen have fixed Wednesday October 3 for the convention proper. The withdrawals announced yesterday followed the statement by frontline presidential aspirant, Mr. Olawepo-Hashim protesting the hurriedly organised convention by a faction of the party. Olawepo-Hashim however corrected impressions that he has withdrawn from the presidential race, saying he surely has not. “I am in the race. I have only pulled out of the hurried convention of the ANN fixed for today, Saturday, purportedly to elect the presidential candidate. I am still in the race for 2019 by the special grace of God” At a crowded press conference on Saturday, the nineteen party chairmen, who are NEC members, were joined by party chieftains like the former Chairman, Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels, Mr. Olawepo-Hashim, National Secretary, Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Tijanni Isa, Alhaji Sahid Umar, National Organising Secretary, Hon. Makanjuola Ogundipe, amongst others. They reinstated the determination of the party to truly remain a new platform for the revival of Nigeria. They therefore vowed to resist “the infiltration of desperate boy scouts and neophytes benefiting from diverted public funds” Pursuant to the more proper convention, the state chairmen are to hold a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting Saturday evening in what is said to comply with “procedures and in the interest of laying a good foundation for party processes and programmes” In another letter to the National Chairman as well, Olawepo-Hashim regretted that the “issues raised in the first letter dated September 28 have not been addressed. As a result, the number of states and their delegates will not be available for the Saturday hurriedly put-together convention. Nevertheless, it is my belief that the party still has the opportunity to redeem itself” Some of the issues were listed as Postponement of the Presidential Primaries to Wednesday, 3 October 2018, the adoption of a credible list of delegates to be authenticated by chairmen and secretaries of each state, and the decision on the states who have held congresses and who are still omitted in the list of delegates, such as Kano, Katsina, etc. The others are decision on the status of women and youths of states who were excluded in the delegates’ lists, and the decision of the states that have not yet conducted their congresses, but are legally constituted, such as Abia, Adamawa, Gombe, etc. In view of these irregularities, the straight speaking politician concluded: “Because of these very weighty issues, which are constitutional, legal and principled matters. I ask for a postponement so that a proper Presidential Primaries will be conducted” The state party chairmen at the press conference who obviously boycotted Saturday convention, with their delegates are Hussain Zakari (Jigawa), Charlie Anubob (Anambra), Yahaya Silvanus (Kaduna); Aliyu Idris Zakari (Katsina), Ibrahim Abubakar (FCT), and Nasiru Garba (Zamfara). The others are Abubakar Chika (Sokoto); Alabi Sunday (Osun); Anthony Akika (Nasarawa), Uzo Ogbonna (Abia), Lawrence Emmanuel (Ondo); Apeh Sunday (Kogi), Elder Obe Ilesanmi (Ekiti), and Adamu Garuba (Gombe). The rest dignitaries are Alh. Boye Jega (Kebbi), Alh. Ali Haruna (Kano), Chief Onome (Lagos), Deputy National Chairman, Isa Tijjani, National Youth Leader, Akinola Olumide, National Women Leader, Ajoh Torkwase, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Akoh Shittu. Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Yunusa noted, “The party believes in doing things right in light with the party constitution and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In line with that, NEC will hold to determine the date of the convention, adding that NEC members and nineteen state chairmen have already aligned with this decision” Kogi State Chairman, Hon. Sunday, who spoke on behalf of the nineteen state Chairmen who are NEC members, said: “The chairmen believe in following the constitution of the party. 2019: I’m Still In The Presidential Race – Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim …As ANN NEC Postpones Primaries To Oct 3, Declares Today’s Primaries Null And Void A frontline Presidential aspirant on the platform of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, said he has not pulled from the presidential race. Olawepo-Hashim, who said this at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, added that “I and my leaders would not abandon the structure of the party for the disparate elements working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). “I am in the race. I have only pulled out of the hurried convention of the ANN fixed for today, Saturday, purportedly to elect the presidential candidate. I am still in the race for 2019 by the special grace of God. “We have about 19 states who are not part of the kangaroo convention. ANN intends to have a clean primary on Wednesday.” He opined that “APC has no commitment to the values of Democracy. We will not yield ANN to the forces of dictatorship and oppression who wants to cling to power by all means and at all cost. The members at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday emphasised that the guidelines for the National Convention of the party must first be ratified by the NEC before the convention could hold. Consequent upon this, the NEC members postponed the Presidential primaries of the party to Wednesday next week (October 3rd). They, however, added that a meeting of NEC to ratify the guidelines would hold Saturday night. A factional National chairman of the party, Dania Emmanuel had earlier fixed a convention for Saturday (today) in Abuja, an arrangement which the NEC members said was against the party’s constitution. Recall that Olawepo-Hashim had earlier told the party leadership in a letter that he would not participate in the party’s Presidential primary election, scheduled to hold today, September 29, until the constitution of the party is respected and all the defects are rectified. The Deputy National Chairman of the party, Isa Tijani, in his remarks, said “We are here to make Democracy work, and also to strengthen it. It is not about individuality but collectivism. We are fostering the requirement of the party’s c, the constitution as Democrats.” Tijani noted that 19 out of the 27 states where the party is constituted were present at the press conference, adding they “if anything is happening elsewhere, it is null and void. Nobody can blackmail us. This is a party of difference. We mean what we say and say what we mean. Kogi State Chairman, Hon Apeh Sunday, who spoke on behalf of the nineteen state Chairmen and the NEC members, said: “We the chairmen believe in following the constitution of the party. Because the guidelines for the convention were yet to be ratified, while logistics issues were also not sorted out we have resolved to hold an NEC meeting late this evening to ratify the guideline and also fix the convention for Wednesday, October 3.” Some of the issues said to have necessitated the postponement of the Presidential Primaries include the adoption of a credible list of delegates to be authenticated by chairmen and secretaries of each state, and the decision on the states who have held congresses and who are still omitted in the list of delegates, such as Kano, Katsina among others. The others are a decision on the status of women and youths of states who were excluded in the delegates’ lists, and the decision of the states that have not yet conducted their congresses, but are legally constituted, such as Abia, Adamawa and Gombe, among other. http://reportersatlarge.com/2018/09/29/2019-im-still-in-the-presidential-race-gbenga-olawepo-hashim/ |

cbrass:Keep quiet if you don't know what is happening. APC, through the Vice president has flooded ANN with billions of dirty money. But despite this, they are not sure of defeating the undefeatable Hashim, hence the illegality |

Since Hashim came on board, He has helped ANN create structure in atleast 16 states, from local government to ward level. His massive structures in other states collapsed with the existing structure If not for him, there won't be a party capable of giving Nigeria a credible alternative. |
cbrass:Mr man, please stop showing off your ignorance. The party constitution says delegates list must be made public at least 7 days before primary. That's the rule. Vice president Yemi Osinbajo cannot succeed in killing ANN. Fela has allowed himself to used for illegality. Hashim is unstoppable |
