Bilymuse,

Even people of south south are more (and better) educated than Yoruba, not to talk of Ibo. Don't you read the JAMB website? Yoruba people have always sacrificed education for taxi driving, bukateria (iya olonje), gbomogbomo and fake pastoring. Some of those who venture into education do so just to get paper. They can't speak simple good english (just like you). That is why you have so many forged degree holders in that clime.

stop giving OBJ credit for GSM, abacha started the process b4 he died of Sergent cardiac,
you are a fool, I detest people who tell naked lies for the sake of argument. GSM was never on abacha's agenda, he was too preoccupied with sanction, security and threat of coup. How could he think of GSM when sanction was placed on the country and the foreign companies who could operate the system would be unable to secure loan for the requisite investment.

you cant compare square plugs and round pegs together, Ojukwu and Obasanjo were playing in different leagues.

and obasanjo cant measure up.
when Obasanjo was returning to Nigeria he was advised against it, because abacha planned to arrest and jailed him. But, OBJ returned to the country, was arrested and jailed; the rest is history.

Toward the end of Biafra war Ojukwu was faced with two choices: fight on and die like a hero or live like a coward. That bald head fool choose cowardice.

Materially speaking is there more poverty in Igboland compared to Yoruba land?
are you smarter
are you better educated
what exactly do Yorubas do better than Igbos
and what is the ill in Igboland that doesn't exist in Yorubaland?
Carry your ugly face and get out of here
lazy baboon!

These never do wells just come on the internet and talk rubbish thinking that they are making sense
Igbos like money and yorubas like what?
amala?
Comparatively, many Igbo or Yoruba people dont beg on the street compare to the northerners, where begging has been elevated to a profession. Materially speaking, Igbo may be ahead with Yoruba people following behind, while the north are in a distant third.

Igbo chaps usually sacrifice education for spare part trading, where they are taught to be mean , selfish and cold. They abandon God and worship the devil called ego. Yoruba people still believe in education and strive very hard to send their kids to school , irrespective of the circumstances. so they come first

The ill in Igboland - an average igbo trader has no heart, ruthless and cold. He worship the devil called ego; which is responsible for the high percentage of criminals among the Igbos compare to other Nigerian tribes.

There's nothing I won't hear
Please tell us, is the average Yoruba man better than the average Igbo man in any way shape or form?

OBJ was prez for 8 years,is Yoruba land a haven by any stretch?
Common guys, let be fair to OBJ, the guy is crude, unsophisticated and lacking in charisma, but in terms of achievement, probably the best Nigeria president. He brought in GSM and help paid off our debt.

GSM led to the inflow of foreign capital and is responsible for the boom in stock market and the high digit economic growth recorded. GSM alone led to the creation of over 5 millions jobs. Think about people selling recharge card, phones , call centres. This stretch from major cities down to the interior villages. From Abroad you can call family members direct in the village; thank OBJ for that.

Though, OBJ has his shortcomings, but his achievements surpass any Nigerian president.

Compare him with that bald head fool called Ojukwu, the difference is clear

Its a high power rainbow coalition of criminals with Yoruba Yoruba folks on the lead closely followed by their spare part dealers savvy Igbo cousin, consolidated by their aboki Hausa distant relatives. Its a superb rainbow coalition of Nigerian tribes, which depict a true federal character.

Whenever its comes to corruption or looting the treasury, either in the private or public sector, there seems to be a perfect understanding among Nigerian tribes. But when it comes to persecuting the accused, people start screaming tribalism.

Suspected MASSOB members attack Obi
From Uzoma Nzeagwu, Awka

A MOST bizarre breach of security and decorum was recorded at the weekend in Ngwo, Enugu State where suspected members of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) hounded Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, one of whom successfully gave the governor a knock on the head.

The daring assault occurred at the residence of the late former governor of old Anambra State, Chief C. C. Onoh, where the Ibo crme-de-la- crme gathered to pay their last respects to the departed elder statesman.

However, a possible bloodbath was averted by Obi who swiftly called his security details to order as the latter made to cut down the MASSOB mob in a hail of bullets.

Obi, alongside other South-East governors, had already paid his last respect to Onoh on Thursday, July, 2 but on the invitation of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the governor accompanied the ex-Biafran warlord on a condolence visit to the Onoh Family, who are his in-laws. Chief Onoh was the father of Ojukwu's wife, Bianca.

According to the Special Assistant to the governor on Media And Publicity, Valentine Obienyem, trouble started when MASSOB members allegedly led by their leader, Raphael Uwazurike, sited Obi coming. They reportedly started shouting: "We must kill you and your family; we must send you back to the UK."

Obienyem said at the scene, the governor sat at a different area from Mr. Emeka Etiaba and Uwazurike. He said Odumegwu-Ojukwu later invited Obi to join him where he was seated. As the governor moved to oblige Odumegwu-Ojukwu, some MASSOB members accosted him, saying he had refused to identify with them and hence was not a Biafran.

"It came to a climax when one of them knocked the governor on the head. The security men attached to the governor were already ready to shoot but Obi calmed them down," Obienyem noted.

A visibly angry Odumegwu-Ojukwu ordered the MASSOB out of the gathering and brought the situation under control.

Speaking with reporters on the incident, 'Major' Anayo Chukwunonso, who claimed to be a leader of the MASSOB militia, said the organisation was unhappy with Governor Obi for allegedly stopping the monthly payment made to them by previous governments in the state.

However, he added that since Obi had refused to work with MASSOB, "others who are sympathetic to our cause are enjoying our services."

He queried why Obi would not pay MASSOB militia when his colleagues allegedly still do.

Chukwunonso also accused Obi of giving orders to the police to kill some Biafrans under the guise of restoring sanity to the state.

On assuming office, Obi outlawed all militia groups in the state, including the MASSOB and Bakassi Boys, among others.

However, rumours have it that these banned associations are currently regrouping in Anambra State, preparatory to the 2010 governorship election.

If Ojukwu has shame and conscience he would keep a low profile and dedicate himself to charity, as a means of cleansing his soul. But the bald head fool went to contest for president and fought over a small girl. Mr. Onoh., Bianca's father, knew the kind of man Ojukwu is, that why he doesn't want his blood to pollute his lineage line. Onoh does not want Ojukwu kind as a grandchild.

The truth is Igbos have no leaders, what you have are spare part dealers masquerading as politicians. There is no Igbo politician that is ready to sacrifice his life for his people. Everything about Igbo is money money money. That is the reason you wont get anywhere politically.

Many Yoruba people where killed during June 12, and hundreds more where jailed, yet they remained steadfast and fought for what they believe, until the government was forced to handover power to Yoruba people. These are true warriors , people who believe.

The greatest betrayer in Nigeria is that coward  Ojukwu. That fool led millions of innocent igbo people to their death, at the heat of the battle he stole biafran money and ran away like a chicken to self impose exile. Years later he came back after receiving bribe from NPN and marry a small girl of his daughters age. The Yoruba Question III: Culture of Anarchy/Infants
By
Spinoza
obamathink@gmail.com

Intelligent people prefer to agree rather than to obey. Military people prefer to obey rather than to agree. In the academia, where intelligent people gather together to learn and teach, the former is the case; independent and intelligent people work together on the basis of consent, not of command. In the army of any nation, the latter is the case because the nature of the affairs therein requires that soldiers follow commands rather than agree or disagree whenever they feel like doing so. Most other human beings or human organizations or societies fall in-between: they either prefer to obey and agree, or disagree and obey, or disobey and agree, or disagree and disobey, depending on the situation. For example, when an unjust law is passed in some democratic nations, the citizens often disagree with the law. To show their displeasure with the law, they often disobey the law as a way registering their disapproval. They would do this with the understanding that the courts would get involve in litigations and conflicts associated with the new law. The rationale is often that the body that makes the law is different from the body that enforces and applies the law. By disobeying the law, the citizens would get the courts involved in deciding the justice of the law.

But the Yoruba people are nowhere in these frameworks of human interaction. Wherever you find two or three Yoruba people, the words and phrases ‘order’, ‘intelligent disagreement’, ‘orderly agreement or disagreement’, and ‘rational disobedience’ are often lacking because the Yoruba people are not cut out to exist in civilized relationships. They are worst than the beasts and lions in the wild because their culture is a culture rooted in anarchy. Even if they go through many years of training in either military or academic institutions, the Yoruba people are still worse than the beasts in the wild. Ekiti is a perfect example here.

Ekiti is supposedly a state in Yoruba South West where every Yoruba therein has a PhD or an advanced degree from an institution of higher learning. Ekiti is like the city of Boulder in Colorado or like Iowa City in the state of Iowa, where every person is associated with an institution of higher learning. Yet, Ekiti is the center and hub of deadly, machete-wielding thugs, who will never allow an election or peaceful gathering to take place. All the politicians therein maintain groups of deadly gangs as the only means of winning elections or governing the state. Ekiti produced the likes Peter Ayodele Fayose who has a PhD and yet believes and acts as if having a name like Hussein Obama makes Obama a terrorist. By virtue of his PhD, you would think that Peter Fayose is a free-thinking man who uses his brain to analyze and solve problems rather than looking to command and order other people around. But no, the norms of his Yoruba culture are so ingrained in his being that governing by consent or disagreement means nothing to him. This is why he had to murder a journalist simply for asking him questions. Today, he is still one of the forces to be reckoned with in Ekiti politics - because the Yoruba culture considers murder and murderers as the essential ingredients of government and of running the affairs of their masses. Whatever holds in Ekiti is also true in all other Yoruba states.

In Yoruba Oyo State, a 100-year-old thug called Lamidi Adedibu conquered and occupied the state from 1998 to 2008. Adedibu trained and maintained deadly thugs with the help of Olusegun Obasanjo as the president of Nigeria. The two old thugs murdered in Churches and Mosques without spending a day in prison because the Yoruba culture sanctioned and supported this brand of politicking.

In Yoruba state of Kwara, Olusola Saraki is the king of deadly thugs. His son took over the gangs of thugs from him. His daughter is about to be crowned the next queen of Kwara thugs. From the early 1980’s to the present day, Kwara State has never been governed by somebody elected by the Yoruba masses. The Yoruba Saraki Crime Family is not interested in participatory democracy where the masses determine who preside over their affairs. Senior Saraki imposed his own daughter as the Senator, he imposed his own son as the Governor, and he is about to impose the same daughter as the next Governor of the Yoruba state. Competency, empowerment, and knowledge are not vocabularies in Yoruba politics because immaturity and incompetence are consistent with Yoruba norms, and incompetent Yoruba people can only be empowered or disempowered by their own incompetent Yoruba thugs.

The Yoruba state of Osun produced two notorious thugs, Iyiola Omisore and Olagunsoye Oyinlola. Iyiola Omisore murdered Bola Ige for Olusegun Obasanjo, and Obasanjo rewarded him with his current Senate position in the Nigeria National Assembly. Bola Ige, a Yoruba man, was murdered while he was the sitting Attorney General of Nigeria, and every Yoruba man knows that Iyiola Omisore pulled the trigger. Yet, these people are happy that a murderer is representing them in the capacity of a Senator. It is as if you must become a murderer or a thug in Yoruba land to be somebody in the politics of Yoruba people.

Further, consider the words of Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the current Governor of Osun State, and another respected Yoruba politician in Yoruba land (these are words of strategy on how to conduct an election in Yoruba Ekiti State; the sentiments they express are not as strange as they sound because they are not worse than what came from the mouths of Lamidi Adedibu and Olusegun Obasanjo):

“We will supply all the sixteen local government chairmen in Ekiti, particularly the affected ten local governments where the gubernatorial elections will be conducted, with army uniforms, arms and ammunitions. You people will give these to your supporters who will camouflage like army personnel at the respective voting centers so that these will aid them in the rigging of the election by intimidating the voters and allowing the voters not to come out to vote. The only people that will come out will be the PDP”

Either there is something in the water and food these people drink and eat in Yoruba land or this is part of their nurture and upbringing. I submit that the later is in fact the case. When every politician in the Yoruba South West is a deadly thug and behaves and thinks like a deadly thug, even when they are educated, one can not but conclude that the style of leadership and manner of thinking in that part of Nigeria are parts and parcels of the Yoruba cultural norms.

When anarchic thinking and authoritarian mindset are common among the Yoruba leaders and people, one cannot help but believe that these types of behaviors and thinking are part of what makes these people Yoruba. If not, find me a Yoruba state where deadly thugs are not in huge supply and where election-rigging and murder are not part of Yoruba politics.

Show me a Yoruba community where the likes of Obafami Awolowo, Lamidi Adedibu, Olusegun Obasanjo, Patrice Etteh, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Iyiola Omisore, and Dimeji Bankole are not considered the “best” Yoruba politicians and presented to Nigeria as the “best” from the Yoruba culture.

Give me another explanation and reason Nigeria is slouching to the Stone Age after a Yoruba man ruled the nation for eight years, from 1999 to 2007, like a wild monkey and murdered many people and still exist as the “best” politician of Africa in the eyes of many Yoruba people.

Show me the reason Nigeria is not going anywhere soon other than the stifling presence of the backward mindset of the Yoruba infants. Educate me on who have infested Nigeria like a deadly virus with their culture of anarchy and backwardness other than the Yoruba people and their Ekiti-style of madness.

Until these Yoruba issues are resolved, and as long as the Yoruba people exist as a part of Nigeria, I predict that Nigeria is doomed forever. Intelligent individuals and masses can be persuaded with ideas and logic, but there is no amount of logic or intelligent ideas to be applied to change the behavior of wild beasts and congenital infants from Yoruba land, and you know this, because you see it in Yoruba lifestyle, behaviors, thoughts, and actions.
Atleast this people struggle and die for what they believe, holding fast to their faith.

Igbo people believe in nothing except money, and they are prepared to go extra ordinary mile for it.

Take Nzeribe for example, he was  used by IBB to annuled June 12, Obasanjo also used him to impeached Okadigbo - his just a gun for hire. He would betray his mother if he is assured of a profit

el-Rufai: Igbos Own 73% of Abuja Land
From Chuks Okocha in Abuja, 05.21.2007

The Minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai over the weekend declared that Igbos have acquired about 73 percent of landed property in Abuja.
The Minister, who was addressing a gathering of Southeast elected officials also revealed how the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmadu Ali abused him for demolishing his house in Asokoro District in Abuja.
Speaking on a lighter mood, el-Rufai called on the Igbos to take Abuja as the sixth state of the southeast in view of their dominance of the real estate sector of the FCT.
He pointed out that such dominance explains why the Igbos appear to have been the worst victims of the demolition exercise in the territory.
For instance, he said “68 percent of the land allocations in the FCT belongs to the 19 northern states, but in actual land ownership, 73 percent belongs to the Igbos with the most aggressive in land ownership belonging to the indigenes of Anambra state, while Ebonyi lags behind

Bilymuse - whilst you are looking at the transport sector, please look into the foreign exchange business as well. We await your factual and non tribalistic report.
There is a tribal colouration of most sector and commerce:

Yoruba - banks , insurance , taxi driver , ,
Tiv / Igala / Idoma - police, army , ,
Ijaw - fishing, ,
Hausa - forex (black market), cattle rearing, , ,

Despite the tribal concentration of people in various commercial field, nobody is preventing people from other tribe free entry and competition.

All the main markets ( Ariaria, Onitsha, ,) in Igbo lands are completely dominated by Igbos. There is no single non Igbo who own a store in Ariaria or Onitsha market. Instead non Igbos are forced to trade in makeshift roadside gathering which the Igbos conveniently labelled as market.

The Igbos are not allowing other Nigerians free entry into their market, while at the same time they come and dominate your own market . This is unacceptable and goes against the spirit of free trade.

Remember, that, Sir Shina Peter's song: jealousy jealousy na im dey worry you, bad belle na im dey worry you, my own be say God go forgive you. It seems your level of moronity and covetousness has blinded you so much that it is now beyond human comprehension. Have you ever come across the word competition? It brings out the best in people and the stuff they are made of and that is what Nigeria needs right now. Stop being a parasite to the Niger Delta, leave them alone with their God given resources and devastated environment and come out let us compete.
Chiddy, people are mot jealous or tribalist, they are simply upset and angry, at the Igbos use of mafia style tactic to manipulate and dominate our market. To say the Igbos are the only hardworking Nigerians is an insult to the millions of God fearing Nigerians who work their ass out day in day out. The Igbos market traders association is the public face of a mafia whose sole aim is the manipulation and domination of the Nigeria markets. If the Nigerian police were to be very effective, most of the Igbo traders would be in prison

You have houses and properties in Abuja (70% of that city is said to be Igbo-owned) according to ElRufai (2007).
You have billions of houses and investments in Lagos, PH, Calabar and northern and southern states
This pattern is the same by and large in most part of the country. Igbos are unfairly dominating Nigerian markets. Yet the ignorant Massob members on the forum want us to be silent and be happy. They said its hard work, are Igbos the only people who knows how to trade ?

Just hear yourself admitting that your lazy and docile type can't compete with an ordinary igbo man. Shame on you and your likes who believe govt will even put food on your table for you. Lazy bone
Its not about competition, laziness or docility. In the international scene US complain about China dominating and manipulating its market by flooding America with cheap goods using cheap labour and subsidy. Europe too complain about china flooding it market. The World Trade Organization (WTO) was designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade, provides a framework for negotiating and formalising trade agreements, and a dispute resolution. Even within the same country regions negotiate among each other for a balance of trade.

We have every right to complain if the Igbos are dominating and manipulating the market; this is not tribalism.

Bily goat, it is now that i confirmed that you're truly a first class slowpoke. What is the free market all about? After all you and your fellow tribalist did: Witholding Ndigbo's money and properties after the civil war, God still bless them against all odds. Why the envy? Leave hypocrisy and owambe and work hard. Then you will eat from the fruit of your labour.
Chiddy welcome on board. Free market is an economic system in which prices and wages are determined by unrestricted competition between businesses, without government regulation or fear of monopolies. In Nigeria the Igbos are unfairly manipulating the market by using mafia style.

Regarding the abandoned properties , Igbos have absolute right to seek redress and demand for compensation from the government.

Two wrong cannot make a right, some Igbos cannot because of biafra war and its aftermath be manipulating our market to the detriment of ordinary folks , who knows nothing about the war.

You are absolutely worked now and crossed the red line. Your writtings are incoherent and illegible, I find it difficult to understand. I suggest you take some time off and take your pills.

Alternatively if you are one of those that escape from mental institution, I suggest you do the general public a big favour, by calling the authority to return you to where you belong

@bilymuse, Afta U finished shonting Urself in d foot with Ur inaccurate analysis of d economy,U even contradicted Urself when U said d real economy constituded farming, small scale industry & trading let me add more since Ur little mind does't know much besidz what prejudiced grandpa told U,there is also d banking industry, manufacturing, entertainment induestry & d real estate. Now if all these sectorz make up our economy how then can any intelligent, unbias, straight thinking Nigerian claim d dominance of d economy by d igbos.
Rhymz you are getting worked up, agitated and unstable. Below are my words, if you dont understand it, ask for explanation. Do not misquote or misrepresent me.

"Nigeria is a petroleum based economy, with oil providing over 95% of foreign exchange and more than 70% of government revenue. Over 80% of Nigerian states are not viable depending on handout from the FG: states goes to Abuja every month, collect handout, pay some workers , do little jobs and squander the rest. According to manufacturing association of Nigeria more than 50% of states in Nigeria does not have a single standard manufacturing industry.

Millions of Nigerians representing over 90% of labour force find employment through farming, small scale industry and trading. This represent the real economy providing sustenance to over 140 million people in the midst of acute poverty.

The Igbo domination of trading activities in Nigerian market is absolutely unacceptable, because trading is the last source of employment for the common man.

Igbo traders are not playing a fair game, they are manupulating the system"

@bilymuse,Ur claims re baseless, show us a proof where it's alleged dat d ibos deny other ethnic group entry into d mrkt, what do U mean by 'mafioso'?do U xpect d ibos to run a campaign to teach otherz how to do biz?Or U xpect dem to divulge dier competitive leverage to otherz?Pls I demand again be constructive in Ur criticism.U & I know d type of trade/biz d igbos re into don't just say they dominate trade without giving elaborate xplanationz.Northernerz dominate d trade in agriculture,Forex, our military & even politicz/power why do U not ve any problem with those.Westernerz re d real ppl dat dominate d control of d financial system/economy,most of d FG parastatals re dominated by dem,d ppl dat ve looted dis country dry re'nt d ibos,so why re U ranting.Or U fear dat a ppl who re'nt government dependent could go this far.
U don't ve anythin concrete to say against d igbos besides stupid childish rantingz, wild claims &guesses steming 4rm deep seated mix of fear & hate for sth Ur likes can't conquer.Get a lyf
You ask for detail, you ll get it.
Next week we ll look into the transport system, and I ll show all how the Igbos are manipulating that sector.

Is this suspicion related to this wide presence of Igbos in every part of Nigeria? Is this suspicion because of the Biafran War? How much has Nigeria lost due to practices meant to "contain" the Igbos?
