Obviously, theres no point producing a car if its not for purchase and cant be bought, But these are Cars that defy the average Conventional Vehicles & flouts the typical purchase. They are Extreme Vehicles pushed to the boundaries, They are Technically Not For Public Consumption.

Benz & Mclaren were more generous in the quantity produced with the Earlier Models, producing only 75 Limited Models for 2010 probably because of the Global meltdown.

Some Wealthy folks dont Anticipate Rainy Days, Their Wealth Defies the Grace to Grass phenomenon, and if youre expected to buy a $1.5 million Car, then you should have made forbes list.

AutosRe: ***Pre-Order Your Dream Car -USA & GERMANY. Exact Costs - No inflated charges*** by bimbor(m): 5:14am On Jul 07, 2014
Eyop: My Oga lol so i find you here...well the thumb start is very unique on it and also to avoid the issue of EIS failure because that is a common problem with this W204 benz. If such happens,it is not something that can be repaired immediately but it has to be ordered & programmed from Germany which may take months to complete the entire process. So you see the wahala
Eeyah.....I feel you already.....and that is because of the Ignition system used in Mercedes Benz vehicles. Unfortunately there are many other electrical issues common to Mercedes products apart from this EIS failure;

Electrical System Problems

Most of the commonly occurring problems in Mercedes-Benz cars have to do with the car's electrical system. The electrical system starts with the battery, which is used in starting the car and in operating various functions such as the car's lights, sound system, and other accessories. The battery itself is sometimes the problem, but in Mercedes-Benz, it is also common for the alternator, which produces the electricity that is stored in the battery, to be problematic. If the alternator is not working properly, the battery is not being recharged, and therefore will run out of charge quickly. Other electrical system issues that often appear in Mercedes-Benz vehicles are wiring problems and issues with various controls found on the dashboard, such as the radio or air conditioning.

Rattling at Engine Startup

Many Mercedes-Benz owners report a rattling sound when starting their car. This problem is especially likely to occur during the winter or in cold areas. In many cases, the rattle is caused by a worn belt tensioner. The belt winds around the different elements of the car engine to give them power. When the belt tensioner is not working properly, the belt won't be tight enough around these components; if you think this might be the problem, it's important to get it checked as soon as possible. If the rattling sound continues after the car has been running for a while, it might be due to a water pump pulley, and may cause your car to overheat easily.

Engine Cooling Problems

Sometimes a faulty water pump pulley can cause the engine to overheat. The water pump cools your car by pumping coolant through all the necessary systems. It can fail due to a faulty pulley or a worn and rusted seal. Engine cooling problems also occur when a faulty gasket head causes a coolant leak inside your car's system. A leaky radiator can also cause your car to overheat. You can spot a radiator leak fairly easily because fluid will drip from under the car.

Rear Suspension Rattling

Suspension problems sometimes occur in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, especially at the rear suspension. A fairly common issue is a breakage with one of the rear springs. The spring snaps near its lower portion, and the broken end is left loose to knock against the other parts of the car, creating a rattling sound. If you hear a rattle coming from the back of your car, check to see if there are any broken springs and bring your car in to be serviced as soon as possible.

But then most car manufacturers all have one drawback or the other....and we still have to buy a vehicle.
So just weigh your pros and cons well and aim with your best shot.

You need to explain in details how your product works. How does it get installed in the vehicle of interest? Is it a chip, a disc or a flash installer? Is it plug n play? How does it work with Factory Fitted Navigators? These are some of the explanations you should provide.

stine b: I am trying to fanthom if you are a medical officer or House officer maybe even a 2nd MB drop out. For a start,I want to introduce my self as a proud Medical Imaging Specialist A.K.A Radiographer I wish to inform you that as far as my practice of Radiography is concerned,We have trained Radiographers who report Tomograms(CT scan Images, MRI Images, Mamograms and Radiographs(Not picture as you call it). I have worked in Australia,UAE and Grenada before returning home to set up my private diagnostic centre where we run X-ray, Ultrasound,ECGand Laboratory Test. We didn't engage any Doctor in our practice because there are not needed. We have been precise and succesful with our test procedures without any complain from anywhere. It will suffice you to note that I take the X-ray exposure and report the Radiographs afterward with my name and Qualifications written and stamed there in. Same thing goes for general and specialised Ultrasound scan procedures(You can see that I have no need for a RADIOLOGIST,who after graduating from Medical school, decides to come and idle in my field of Radiography because of Lack of Job)
Furthermore, I employed a Medical Laboratory Scientist to oversee our Laboratory and he is very copetent in that line without the involvement of any socalled Pathologist. There is a pharmacy outfit beside us where we Reffer patients to buy their medications if need be, especially in Swab M/C/S etc.The good news is that patients get well after diagnosis and take prescribed medications from the pharmacist. We only refer a case that is worth Refferable to selected Hospitals that understand what Team work or division of labor means so that they can also do the needful. For your information Student Dr. Phantom,Nigerians are getting more exposed to know that you musnt go to the Hospital and see a Doctor to be well. 70% of our patients walk into our diagnostic outfit to give their complains. From our vast clinical knowledge based on experience and reading, we clerk them and carry out investigations where needed and where were see an issue we refer them to pharmacy for drugs or to a Hospital for care.
All the points you have been raising in this thread are only applicable in Government Health Institutions where you have your peers as Directors hence JOHESU petition and outcry to put an end to this anomaly.Government researched and constructively reasoned with JOHESU by accepting to implement our plea and a certain unrecognized Association in Nigeria Trade Unionism called NMA is striking against another mans career progression. All this anomalies in the health sector is what made me to reject an appointment from OAU Teaching Hospital Ife, after my Internship because I didn't want to be restrained from progressing in my career. I never regretted my decision to turn down the offer, because I have made so much money both abroad and in my private practice in Nigeria, A thing that I can only dream of probably after Retiring from the current Healthcare Institutions if I had taken their offer. Infact we need a change in this Rotten sector Instigated by a group of practitioners(NMA) that has little knowledge in Management.
In summary, I heard you said Doctors can do other professional duties. With all sense of seriousness I disagree with you. The day I catch any socalled Doctor Touching an X-ray,CT,Mammo,MRI or even an ultrasound machine, talkless of operating them, I'll so sue them using Decree No. 42 of Federation an act that empowers only Radiographers to run diagosis with those modalities.
Infact Dr. Phantom or whatever you call yourself, I openly challenge you on Clinicals let's see who knows it better.
Go to College of Medical Science University of Calabar and hear how student Radiographers beat Medical students in a quiz organised by the College provost for Anatomy courses (Neuro, Embryology,Gross,Histology etc)
Most of us chosed Radiography as First and 2nd Choice during our Jamb, because we wanted to be Radiographers(Eyes or Oracle of Medicine) Can you beat that? Cheers bro.
Oga stop spewing rubbish here jare. You should be rotting in Jail for this your statement. You dey clerk patient.....do u know what it takes to arrive at a diagnosis? You trained drop outs to interprete radiographs and kill patients. A radiographer is like a photographer....nothing more. It is your type that engage in grandiosity and call yourself a doctor when you are not one. I'm sure in that your shop you will be telling people there that you are a doctor. But one day the truth will incarcerate you. Stay within your jurisdiction and stop trying to be who you are not.

The strike continues, No going back until sanity is restored.

Empty tank[/quote]Now listen to your sorry arss again....did u make any sense? Repeat? We are talking about your failed state who would make you spend extra years in school as a result of incessant industrial actions. My dear I can only laugh at your ignoble standing. All we are saying is stop comparing yourselves to doctors. We are not and can never be on the same standard. If you so envy us...get a JAMB form again and go study medicine so you can see exactly how easy it is.

Stop all this inferiority complexes you are displaying to the world publicly. The truth is none of you guys can operate independent of the doctor....but we can do without you ARTISANS. So get a life!
HealthRe: JOHESU Press Release on the NMA STRIKE by bimbor(m): 8:25am On Jul 03, 2014
phantomm: stop spreading lies.radiographers are what they are. they image the body and the doctor interpretes.what basic medical knowledge do they have to interpreted films or CTS? they badically photographers.keep decieving Nigerians so that you can start killing them one by one. a radiographer at image diagnostics in PH interpreted my chest xray as normal not knowing I was a radiologist. I had a pleuritic chest pain and fever yet my xray was normal. meanwhile there was a subtle consolidation at my right lung base. imagine how many people this dude had killed with his 'normal' xrays. funny.
Like I said, any other person in the health sector who is not a doctor is an Artisan comparable to Mechanics and bricklayers. I don talk my own. This rubbish of comparison should just stop. There's no basis for it. So annoyingly annoying!
HealthRe: JOHESU Press Release on the NMA STRIKE by bimbor(m): 8:13am On Jul 03, 2014
phantomm: grin grin grin grin grin grin @ the bolded. i hope you know that radiographers are the ones who 'photograph' the patients.the radiologists who are the doctors in that department interprete the results..
in the labs ,the lab technologists do the bench work or test the samples.the onus still lies on the pathologist who is a doctor to ratify the results.
my brother these allied professionals are attaching undue importance to themselves.they are not that important.
Thank you my brother. Please also remind him that all those other fields can be conveniently carried out by a doctor. A doctor will successfully carry out the job of a radiographer, A doctor will successfully analyse patients samples which is what Lab Scientists do.....A doctor will nurse his patient even in the absence of a nurse.....so what I'm saying in a nutshell is that a doctor can be independent of all these low-lifes calling themselves JOHESU. We are only trying to put food on their table by giving them all these jobs. So why on earth are they trying to compare their unthinking selfs with Medical Doctors. That MBBS Certificate is a double certificate that was not so easily earned. It took us not less than 7 YEARS to earn that certificate with hard labour and serious jarking sometimes keeping series of sleepless nights. The JAMB is sold without compulsion for anybody to study any programme, why didn't these inferior jerks fill medicine when they bought their forms if they really so admire doctors?

They are all subordinates who are there to answer to doctors. How can a subordinate suddenly want to rise above his boss. This is inconceivable! This nonsense does not happen in developed countries. Wherever you go a medical doctor is the head of the health team. The salary of a doctor should in no way be close to that of these health Artisans .

The government had better get her thinking caps on and restore sanity back to the health system to avoid total paralysis of the system.

Check out the JOHESU publication again, you will see the public display of their illiteracy and ignorance. Glorified technicians!

Aliki: With 5m + budget you shouldn't even be be thinking of buying a tokunbo car for your wife for that matter, what's the guarrantee that the SUV wouldn't develope a fault within a year with all the complaints you have already. There are quite a number of nice crossover SUVs you can buy for your woman with 5m; a kia sportage for a example is not too bad.
Als o, if you're spending that much on a used car,it's always safe to see and inspect physically, or have someone very reliable and trustworthy do that for you. Americans are hustlers, same as the person that deliverd a 5m+ SUV to your house, knowing fully well that some important gadgets in the vehicle are not functioning properly...no intergrity...that's people for you!
My brother it's unfortunate that the nigerian economy is in a comatose state....it's so sad that 5M+ cannot buy any solid brand new SUV or crossover SUV for that matter.

Brand New 2014 Crosstour - 8.8M
Brand New 2014 CRV - 7.0M
2014 Toyota Venza Brand New - 9.5M
2014 Rav4 Brand New - 8.0M
Brand New 2014 Fortuner - 8.0M
2014 Highlander Brand New - 11M
Range Rover Sports 2014 - 24.5M
Lexus GX460 - 15M
QX56 Brand New - 16M

Even the heavyweight Sedans in the market cross that budget for brand new. The closest call is a brand new Corolla and even that one is 5.5M.

The truth is that Nairaland managers treat Inspired as untouchable and I think that is not fair to other dealers.

I remember the case of Ademola, when Chelseabmw stormed the thread, he condemned Ademola's approach mercilessly to the extent that it almost resulted in a confrontation between him and Ademola.

Well I think what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Fairness and equity should be a watchword here.

TCD: were you not the one ranting some days ago about how pre order deal is a tale of lies, deceitful fraud, missed deadlines and bla bla . claiming you were "pregnant" and will deliver soon and expose the said dealer who going through your posts its obvious inspired is the d dealer involved. the Nairaland data loss cleared that thread.

"you will talk very soon" keep deceiving yourself. don't expect any sympathy when the poo hits the fan. you had your chance to come clean.

he is in Brazil flenjoying with your money while "God" is handling your car deal here in naija. I dey laugh.
Like I said, the clock ticks....I will speak at the appointed time....I have been pushed to my limits and holding on with just little energy.....

I have not spoken this far because I value people's life saving investment....it is always best if issues like the Op's are settled off nairaland...but you will not blame the op....probably the dealer took his patience for granted evidenced by numerous unanswered calls and ignored emails, painful as that may be. The OP had no choice than to resort to public outcry on the forum...

Even though my thread was wiped due to the recent Nairaland glitch, I got it backed up. The dealer has communicated me.....so I will allow him the allotted time and once the time is due I will communicate the outcome to Nairaland, be it negative or positive, in less than 5 days from now!!

I chose the pre-order route because I wanted a non-accidented clean car....after visiting most dealerships in Nigeria and finding out that most cars on their stands are accidented with tampered odometers. And I have never done a Cotonou deal because of all the smuggling stories I have heard about that route and the fact that you end up not getting original custom certificates.

I have waited for the actualization of this deal but let me reiterate that the waiting is not my problem but the bad communication system I suffered with my dealer. All I wanted was a real time update of every step in the preorder process but this turned out to be a luxury to me. I got a new definition of preorder which some dealers on the forum came to deny. I learnt lessons in this deal but I hope the end will justify the means.
I wait.....yes I wait for my Oga-at-the-top to deliver!!
In less than 5 days you guys will know this dealer I'm speaking about.....we will all be witnesses to it when it happens. I have not mentioned any dealer, just wait till I do.

All I will advise is that SEUN should sanitize his house and read out a riot act to all dealers in the Autos section....and any deviant thereafter shall be sanctioned in line with the laws of the land.

Na small time remain....una go hear!
