OS updates are minor software tweaks. That is not an argument that will hold water. There are very little differences between successive releases. The truth is Samsung do not own the Android OS while Apple own the iOS. So sometimes I think these comparisons are not even necessary because the basic performance of any device is majorly dependent on the operating system. If Samsung phones were built with iOS or if iFones were shipped with Android then the comparisons would have held water. So let every man just buy what they so wish. As for me if I were to buy an Apple device then the iPad will do for me. The iFone is just a No-No! Even if it is sold at 50k. I can only buy it as a side phone not as a daily driver. It's just too limited imo.

It means the iOS is smoother and better than Android. Flawless operations and decent UI with neatly stacked App drawer and a centralized Settings system. Don't even try to compare Android to iOS. They are worlds apart. That's Apple's backbone.

I will not buy an iPhone because the screen is too small and the plus version is way too bulky. So the Samsung S7 edge meets all my specifications.

U guys should stop trying to compare phones that run different Operating systems. Iphone and windows phones dont need as much ram as android phones do. All that aside i dont care how fast or good an iphone's hardware is, i personally just dont like iOS whether its on a laptop or tablet.

Sarcasm. I can say iPhone made touchscreen phones popular but the truth is they didn't make the first touchscreen phone, neither did they make the first capacitive touchscreen phone, LG PRADA anyone? But the PRADA was filled with bugs but when the first iPhone was released it redefined touchscreen phones.

The 6gb of ram on the one plus 3 is pointless, it is just there to help them sell phones. It is not the fastest phone , htc 10, galaxy s7,lg g5, Huawei p9, moto z force, etc with 4gb of ram are easily fast with different being marginal. Also multitasking is negligible. U guys always think it is only the amount of ram in a device that makes it fast... This is wrong. The processor and is plays a major role here. iPhone 6s with 2gb of ram is faster and multitasks better than any Android phone with 4gb or 6gb of ram. It is just like comparing an Intel atom processor with 4 cores and 8gb of ram with an i7 computer with dual core and 4gb of ram. Which one do u think will be faster?

Oga have you watched the Speed test comparison between S7 edge and iPhone 7? Please don't expend your energy on pointless argument. When you are comparing Android phones with iPhone please exclude S7 edge. S7 edge is a beast on its own and Apple is yet to produce any phone to match its credentials. Please just don't compare S7 edge with any iPhone I take God beg you.

iOS has unparalleled optimization. Apple put their 2GB RAM into best use so its not by how many gigs of RAM your phone has. Personally I think putting 6gb of RAM into a phone is an overkill. My problem with Apple is their slow growth and lazy innovation for a company that was built around innovation.

The price is cheaper than the last iPhone. The base mode 32gbl this year starts at $650 which is the price they sold the 16gb iPhone 6s.

That is why Apple is a rip off!

If they could sell the 32gb for $650 why did they sell the 16gb for $650? Why didn't they sell it for $100 less?? But no, that is Apple, a complete rip off company that deliberately lags behind and put minor updates every year just so they can continue to rip their brainwashed followers.

I'm happy a lot of Americans are beginning to realise this and dumping Apple for good. Go on Craigslist you will see how people are selling off their iPhones to buy the S7 edge. And the S8 will even still be legendary! When they could no longer cope with the heat Samsung was giving them they had to introduce IPX8 certification. And from what I heard sef the iPhone 7 might water resistance might not ne that strong so I advise users not to joke with water with their iPhone 7.

Let Apple continue to sell out their customers but one day the jazz go clear for everybody eye and by then Mr Tim Cook would realise the damage he has done to Steve Job's dreams!

To put it correctly, iOS is the thing that stands Apple devices out. Head to head feature wise Samsung will murder iPhone any day but the Android OS cannot stand beside the iOS hence the slight edge over Samsung.

But I think what the Op was trying to say was that the phone movement is limited when placed on the charging pad hence the purpose of the wireless charging is defeated and that was why he was comparing it to dock charging since both require the phones to be just on one spot. Inductive Charging is wireless charging no doubt. I actually doubt the possibility of "Long range wireless charging" which is the message the Op was trying to pass across. Long range wireless charging and Inductive charging are both wireless charging technologies. let's get that straight. But the former may still take years to be implemented into the smartphone. The main barrier on the Long range wireless charging is that energy is lost as it travels along a distance according to the Laws of Physics. No smartphone company can change the laws of Physics, not even Apple. so I don't see the implementation of "Long range wireless charging" anytime soon, Although anything is possible technologically.

In about 6 hours time Apple will launch their trashy iPPhone 7 that leaves nothing to doubts, a phone with mediocre features that is so 2014!! Yet they will charge over the roof for it as usual. Very sad that some people will do anything to buy this junk when it is released. A phone released with features that are now irrelevant to today's technology. What's new? They will take away headphone jack.....Ooh please!!! Redundancy oozing at every corner. Shabby display, poor camera, cheap build, too small screen. It's so ridiculous that a whole Apple do not know how to reduce bezels on their 5.5 inch phone. Why can't they just swallow their pride and ask their big brother Samsung for help? You carry a 5.5 inch phone and it will be as if you are carrying a tablet? Too bad.

Samsung already did IPx8 Certification on their mobile devices since 2014 but Apple does not even have the technology yet even in 2016!!! Yet you are there talking of technological advancement. Why won't you you give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. Give Samsung the praise for what it's worth. They are ahead of Apple in so many ways. Even if Apple put ingress protection on their phones today it will not freak anyone again because their big brother Samsung have been doing that since 2014 and beyond.

What have Apple got to show? The same redundant phone every year. Boring!!

Apple are cheating their customers and it's unfair. They sell cheap builds for thousands of dollars. It is just unfair. Their devices are overpriced. Samsung have the technology to back up their pricing, what have Apple got to show for their over-the-roof pricing. High time the American government called them to order and place a price limit on their cheap hardware. The S7 edge is a proof that Samsung is beyond Apple in technology. Apple will always copy them but don't worry copying is allowed as long as you agree that we introduced the trend first. Samsung introduced 5 inchers and poor Apple had no choice than to upgrade their nonsense 3.5 inch to 4.7 inch. Very soon they will start using AMOLED Display, a technology that has been in Samsung ever since the first Galaxy S. Very soon they will start pushing for curved screen just because Samsung is doing it. Very soon they will start using Gorilla glass. Lol. But their customers are still not satisfied. They are complaining bitterly on all forums over the Internet!!!!! They want more for their money. Millions of unhappy customers have dumped them and made the wise switch to Samsung. People want more from their phones. Even very soon when Apple realized their fan base would have shrinked, they will again adopt all glass chassis, but trust me it will be too late because they would have lost already.

Are you not afraid of Samsung with the way they keep designing their flagships? Give credit to them Abeg. Apple is living under the shadow of late Steve Jobs. If Jobs were to be alive he would have introduced better products but since he's not there there is nothing they can do. I'm waiting for Apple's reply to Samsung Gear VR.
