Did you not read this post made by the OP yesterday or are you blind? 3 days after the so called deadline passed the inspired dealer is yet to contact the customer, even if its just to update him on what's going on or what isn't going on. This is the kind of non-communication that escalated this problem in the first place.it shows this dealer hasn't learnt anything at all. The customer even tries to get across to him and he is not picking calls. Honestly I can't for the life of me understand how one will spend his hard earned millions from which you made a healthy profit and he still has to be chasing you around to get satisfactory service. What kind of nonsense is this?

Yeah 5 million is the ish right? Poverty stricken souls! I've spent close to same amount on my deal with Inspired and I've not even laid my hands on the car. Why am I not crucifying him? Because I know he will surely deliver! He has done it hundreds of times over and he will still do it again. Inspired has never failed to deliver on this forum, there could be time constraints but he will deliver.
You should all get it into your sick brains, Inspired is the best Auto dealer on this forum, Nairaland is blessed to have him. He's a very intelligent businessman who knows his onions. He's not some under bridge motor dealer.

Maybe the FX Replacement radio unit is scarce and maybe Inspired has not been able to secure one. I'm sure he's making efforts to sort it at least he's following this thread just that he hasn't communicated his efforts so far with us through this thread. But I'm sure he'll fix the situation.

I don't really know these names. But let me put it this way, what you are trying to sell is bigger than a tuber of yam.
What i am looking to buy is just a small metallic box with a bulb attached to it. The size of a small nokia phone.

When you said i cant buy the "bulb" separately, i thought you were referring to the small metalic box with Xenon Zundergreden written on it. Now that i know better i think i will just visit the local shop and have them forge a local halogen bulb for me.

I have sat down to critically analyse this topic and I have come with a few submissions. After personally viewing the stormy sessions that have been making rounds in the Autos section for a few weeks now I have decided to let out a few words to the public. I will be brief and concise and try not to waste words.

First off, about my contribution on @Betalyf's thread, I know a few people were against my post and even went as far as labelling me an accomplice with Inspired . Let me make it clear that I'm only a customer like every other person here who also committed some funds to pre-order a car with Inspired Autos. I'm in no way related to Mr Inspired. Inspired is a car dealer while I'm a Medical Doctor by profession so those trying to connect the dots should not bother. My post on Betalyf's thread was as a result of the numerous antagonistic views I observed on the thread and saw I just felt we should give inspired a break at least let him handle Betalyf's request before crucifying him. I'm in no way supporting what Mr Inspired did but then I saw that if that thread continues like that with a geometric rise in malicious comments, we may not only end up taking food from Mr Inspired's table, but we may end up destroying the table altogether and maybe just maybe, his reputation on Nairaland may go in the way of one dealer I know on this forum (Name withheld)., hence my intercessions.

With that said, Let me address the subject matter. This issue of pre-order seems to be generating too many controversies in this section. So I think the pre-order deal should be left solely to Dealers who have the financial strength as bulk purchasers and who have access or agents abroad that can physically inspect their cars to their taste before buying. Beleive me, no matter how astute a dealer is at spotting great cars, his tastes might not meet your expectations. Like the saying, "Different strokes". Let the dealers buy their cars abroad, pay for them in full and ship to Nigeria with their own funds and then clear these cars with their own resources as well. Then any prospective buyer can walk into their showrooms across Lagos or elsewhere to see the cars of their choices, Look up the History of such cars using the VIN. Do a test drive and then pay for such cars if satisfied. You will all agree with me that this whole process will only last a few hours or maybe a day or two as opposed to Pre-order deals that lasts for months before fulfilment.

This method will eliminate a lot of problems in the long run. Pre-order has a lot of issues too many to discuss and at the end of the day it's really not worth the sweats. I don't think we need to suffer this much to drive a car really. Waiting for 4 months to take delivery of a car is just too much to handle, coupled with some other stories like: Car is waiting to clear US Customs, Car is yet to clear US Customs, it will clear customs next week, The location where car was bought is too far from port, There is delay in loading onto vessel, Vessel has not sailed, Vessel will sail latest by next week, And after vessel sails and getting to Nigeria, you begin to hear other grammers like 'There is congestion at Port', 10 other vessels are on the queue waiting to discahrge ahead of yours, Nigerian Customs are planning to increase duty rates and so on and so forth....These stories are a pain in the butt for a buyer who just wants to buy a single car and drive. All these automobile algorithms should be left to car dealers who buy in bulk.

So my candid advice is that pre-order should be discouraged totally for all cars except the rare brands that you hardly find in dealerships locally like the Bentleys, Porsche, G-model Mercedes, AMG McLaren, Exotic Range Rovers and BMWs.

Are you minding them? Most people like this are hoodlums parading themselves as car dealers. They take pictures of cars at dealerships and post them here looking for innocent victims to scam! They are all over Nairaland. Buyers just have to be careful. Some of them could even be ritualists, maybe their "Babalawo" (herbalist) talk say na voice he need.

Adverts like this should not be allowed to see the light of the day in the Autos section.

All this call this, call that.....to me it is full blown NONSENSE. If you have something to sell and nothing to hide drop the friggin price here! Stop telling anybody to call you please. Will you refund their Airtime if the deal doesn't sail? Name your price, whoever is interested then will call you for negotiations.
