David de Gea, the reported target of interest from Real Madrid, has been included in Manchester United's squad for the UEFA Champions League play-off against Club Brugge. The Spain goalkeeper was in superb form for United last season, his impressive displays helping the club to fourth place and a return to European football's premier club competition. With speculation mounting that De Gea is set for a switch to Real, Louis van Gaal left him out of the matchday squad for their Premier League opener at home to Tottenham on Saturday. 1. Taking a bath (Ghusl). [Abdurrazzaq, 5754]

2. Wearing one’s best clothes, and for the men perfuming
themselves. [Bukhari (886), Muslim (2066)]

3. Have an odd number of dates before leaving for 'Eid prayer. If
one does not have dates, any food will do. [Bukhari, 953]

4. Going to the 'Eid prayer. [Bukhari (913), Muslim (889)]

5. Even if the woman is not praying she is encouraged to come and
attend. [Bukhari (971), Muslim (890)]

6. Saying Takbir from the morning till the Imam starts the 'Eid
prayer. [Ibn Abi Syaibah, 5621]

7. Greet one another with good greetings. [Al-Fath, 2/446]

8. Take different path home than the one that you took to come to
the prayer area. [Bukhari, 986]

Saraki Clears Air on Tweets Concerning Service Chiefs Screening

The attention of the Media Office of the Senate President has been drawn to a story making the rounds to the effect that the Senate does not need to screen or confirm the new Service Chiefs appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, we want to make it abundantly clear that based on inquiries made to the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on whether the Senate was consulted before the appointment of new Service Chiefs was announced, he had in response tweeted that the appointment of Service Chiefs is the exclusive function of the President as stipulated by the Constitution.
Let it be known that his comment is now being misinterpreted to say the Senate will neither screen nor confirm the new Service Chiefs. This is far from the truth.
For the avoidance of doubt, Saraki has said his comment is without prejudice to extant laws and court pronouncements on the issue and therefore that the Senate will do the needful when the list of the new Service Chiefs is sent to it by Mr. President.

Saraki in a new tweet today said: "This is to clarify the earlier position which was not up to date and does not represent the position of the Senate President on the issue of screening of the newly appointed service chiefs . The Senate will perform its constitutional duty when it receives communication from the President on the appointments."
