I hardly expose personal stories here but I will share this. My mum's step brother is also ttcing for over 7 years now. Initially, his mum (mum's stepmum) would advise him to go and impregnate another woman, bring her in and chase the wife away. my mum told her to stop filling her son's head with that kind of reasoning (if it was her daughter nko). Now, its been revealed that its the hubby is the one with sperm count issues. His mother is now singing a different type of song, a good wife stands by her husband through thick and thin etc. But the wife is so fed up now. according to her, he's still imbibing the habits the doctors told him to do away with and its come to her knowledge that he's cheating on her. its my mum and his elder sister that are still cajoling her to hold on a bit longer. I told my mum to advise her to go. She's not getting any younger, her biological clock is ticking. If it was one of her children, would she advise her to stay? The lady in question married very young and she's still quite attractive, she still has hopes of remarrying. Is it when she's attaining menopause that it will occur to her that she's been wasting her life with a man thay doesn't deserve her? I'm giving you the advise I would give my step-aunt if I ever get the opportunity to talk to her. LEAVE!

However, I answered your specific question regarding deception, God and marriage. The answer is No. A marriage based on deception cannot be from God, what happens after such marriage is solely based on His Grace and Mercy.

God's plan is for us to have hope and a good future. Jenny explained it perfectly but unfortunately we human tend to deviate from it and at times we suffer the consequences because God choose to have mercy on who He choose to have mercy on and that is what is difficult for people to assimilate. Some get very uncomfortable about this because they choose to rationalise God based on mere human emotions.

To understand this, you have to travel a few thousand years back. Slavery was a common practice in arabia before Islam and the slaves were essentially captives from war.

Islam inculcated these slave women into society by giving them freedom and made them equal citizens in society.

Therefore, a muslim man could at that time take these women (aside the four) as 'wives' (what you will call concubines).

They had the same exact rights as normal wives, their children had the right to inheritance. Imagine, the child of the slave girl could inherit. Many times, in kingdoms, the child of the slave girl became king.

There was absolutely no difference amongst the children. The slave girl becomes a permanent member of the home.

I don't see any slave women today in need of liberation.

I was born into Islam and in my 20+yrs on earth, relating most of the time with Muslims, I have never seen a harem.

My POV is a Christian lady should hear from God about who to marry, if she truly heard from God, then it is finished. No testing needed. However, the lady could fall into sin but that is another thing entirely at least she won't come up with oh I am just "testing"
