Programming / Re: Why Leaving Nigeria Must Be Your Utmost Priority As A Programmer by biosystech: 10:39pm On Aug 19, 2021

Exactly.
It's mostly what many beginners use to learn before switching to Mac and the fact that it is very light too adds to its allure.

Oh yes that's why I tell people all the time to learn coding. Infact I have told gerrard59 that when God blesses me the only thing I will do for my homeland is opening a very huge IT centre with a ton of computers for my kinsmen to learn programming. Before I became a programmer I was a mechanic o. I was a mechanic and an auto parts trader with my engineering degree. No job anywhere. I went to volunteer at a mechanic workshop and learnt to fix cars. Left there and went back to ladipo. I was struggling day in day out yet no single Kobo. To even see a 100k in a month was like a huge amount after all expenses were done. It was hell. Even with all the skills I had. I knew digital marketing, how to fix cars yet nothing o. it was a very top guy in the Nigerian tech industry that told me to quit everything I was doing and learn coding. It wasn't easy but everyday I thank God I took that man's advise.

Infact the greatest thing that can lift Nigeria out of poverty now is programming but the greatest hindrance is a laptop and laptops aren't getting cheaper. the laptop I used to learn coding I got it for 75k the same laptop is being sold for at least 140k just in the span of a year.
I'm guessing it's a Folio 9480m or 9470m?

There are videos and pictures of him doing whatever he said he has done. Many doubted initially till these evidences surfaced so I do not think he's lying.

Why does the pictures looks below standard compared to airports abroad?
Probably the kind of camera used.

That being said, biko, when will landscaping start because seeing those sands without trees and greenery all around makes the airport look somehow and below par.

If they begin now, we can say at least before official launch, some ornamental works would make it beautiful.

Anyone heading to Kenya should apply for the E-visa before leaving Nigeria, have hotel booking and have cash, it would be suicidal to want to depend on Nigerian issued naira debit card for cash withdrawal from ATMs or POS payment putting the $100 monthly limit into consideration.

Pre-choose hotel/airbnb you intend staying in when you arrive, lest the cab drivers take you to hotels they get commissions from for bringing in guests and most times not the best rate nor neighbourhood.

Nairobi is presently cooooold!
Thanks boss! I also intend coming in later this year. Any other thing we should know about? Eg, COVID 19 and how strict it is in Kenya? Just a heads-up will do. Thanks for the reminder about how cold it is there. Totally forgot!

Thank you.

This information is not correct at all. She needs to apply and hold a visa from Nigeria else she will be turned back and now, they deny Nigerians visas unlike before, if they are not convinced u are a tourist. My cuz was there last month so my information is current
Except it's changed of recent. Went there in 2019 and paid $50 for visa at their immigration point. Got a month and it was also extended to 2 months at no cost before the initial expired since my business was yet to be concluded.

Hopefully, the guy I mentioned would clarify the OP before she embarks on the journey.

Hello! Please I need help

I am going on a vacation with my boyfriend to Kenya beginning of august and he is the one sponsoring the trip , am I supposed to use his bank statement for my visa requirements on arrival or use mine
Kenya is VoA to Nigerians so you don't need bank statement. Just have hotel booking and have an itinerary of what you want to do and some cash or ATM card (Ecobank works there). Pavore9 could throw more light to this.

Hopefully, you get to visit the Serengeti/Mombassa.

hello good afternoon, pleased i have Sweden in mind for masters purpose. please how i do I reach you. ajayiabiola94@gmail.com Thank you.
Hi, good evening. I do not know much about Sweden but the little I have written was based on personal research.

If you want to know more, there are threads here on NL or search wakawaka doc (Twitter & YouTube). Good luck.

Speaking of which, Pavore9, can I reach out to you again?

TessBiwom:
How did you get to study there?
Was it through scholarship?
Please are they links through which one can apply?
I anticipate your response.
Most school applications in Sweden begin in October till either January or February where ALL documents must have been uploaded on the JAMB-like portal.

Schools in Sweden are quite pricey from say N10m and above for non-EU students, hence, scholarships like si.se and ERASMUS MUNDUS.

If you want to apply for this next one, I'll advise you research what you want and the school that offers that, start gathering the documents needed and write any exams like IELTS, if necessary.

Good luck.

Thanks Sir, I love the sustainable energy programs in both schools, especially that of KTH in collaboration with inno Energy.

Programs like this will equip me with required knowledge and skill sets to solve energy related problems in Africa in the nearest future.

I applied to the program at Inno energy already, I hope to get a scholarship to provide me with funding.

I didn't graduate with a first class, but I am very well above 4points. I already have publication in energy related fields, and I'm working very hard to improve my profile.
I do hope you get it.

Did apply in 2018 or 2019 (can't remember) with a 2.2 and had a partial scholarship of €8500. Didn't go through with it as I could not complete it, along with proof of funds. Now, no scholarship is coming my way. If I had people to lend me to complete it, may have done that and continued.

Anyway, I really do hope you get a complete one. Good luck.
