donlittle25: wow.
Rockets came out with everything, and GSW calm them down like Omi tutu. We go see sha. Durant got hot. If harden had not taken a hit in the first q, momentum does not switch the way it did. Most of rockets shooters were cold. Any 2 of these 3 go our way next game, and we have a shot |

I saw positive things in this game for rockets. I feel better about our chances even with this loss.
And someone tell the commentators to get off GS jock. |

Eruditor: There is bad refereeing and there is rigging a series. But you can't rig a series in one game abi? But you normally see rigging play by play. But you quiet today. Issokay, i recognize your hustle. The king will be back in game 2. I am sure your theories will ressurect too |

Eruditor: I can't believe no one at TNT has corrected the wrong stats they used for GSW vs Rockets in the regular season.
I know they want to create this narrative so hard and there are still lazy people at analytics and what not, but they have used the same chart again today and it is funny.
Anyways, that is BTW. Sixers had the potential to win games 2, 3 and 5 but executed poorly in the stretch. Brad, on the other hand deserves credit for his in-game plays and closeout stratagem as they were very huge in a series like this.
Surprised but not surprised that he got ignored by his peers in the voting category. People traditionally do not like the new guy who just came in and is getting most of the plaudits. They will feel he needs to earn his rank. Barkley was right, it was petty that he got not a single vote when 6 or 7 others did together with Casey who won.
It is really shaping up to be one heck of a finals across conferences. I do not think Lebron will sweep but I don't see how Celts beat him 4 times.
As for the West, I know Morey and co have said times without number that they were built for GSW. They are right. I also know that they were formidable in the regular season. But the playoffs present a whole different challenge and I am riding with the more experienced team (obviously).
I would be very surprised if the series goes beyond 6 with GSW winning. Very surprised. Agree with u on rockets, disagree on cavs. Rockets havent been in this situation before. I see a 4-2 or 4-1 win by gsw. No way cavs beat celtics. Lebron literally has to repeat magic 4 times againt the best coached team in the league. I would like it to happen, but it wont |

Killrhymz: Another aspect to note is It's a contrast in style, though, the Warriors' ball movement and fluidity against the Rockets' ground-and-pound isolation. It's two teams trying to do mostly the same things -- score in the paint and score from 3-point territory -- but they go about them in different ways. The Warriors were third in passes per game; the Rockets were 30th. The Warriors were 20th in isolations per game; the Rockets were first. The Warriors were first in off-ball screens per game; the Rockets were 30th. You get the idea? Great points |

Killrhymz: Houston has two primary ball handlers in CP3 and Harden, while Gsw has a lot of options in handling the ball. Do u know what happens to the opposing teams defence when a PF or C brings up the ball? It draws out the opposing team best defenders or rim protectors like Capela or Luc while guys like Klay will find enough for cutting or spotting up without needing a screen. IMO You cant run that play often. If an opposing team knows that you prefer that, they can trap or disrupt your play before you PF/C can make the necessary play. Probably the only PF in the game this can work for is Lebron because he actually has PG skills. But even then, you will get in trouble with smart teams. In fact, your big man will end up having to pass the ball back to the PG to setup a play. Which means you just wasted 8 to 10 seconds on tbe shot clock. Cant rely on that |

aliondo: Saw an article today...NBA teams think its time to move Russ.....Do you all think its time for a change at OKC or Russ could still come through at OKC..... The time to move Russ and get a good deal has passed. The league understands what he is, superstar iso player, exciting but unableto lead a team effectively. Plus its a bad look for okc to make this move after Russ pledged his loyalty... this by itself could affect the quality of agents willing to enter this mess. Best thing is for okc to hold its nose and ride it out. And pay a babalawo to give Russ a change of heart this offseason |
